Be on the beach! Attractive, beachfront cottage remodeled in 2007. Remodeling combines the best of old and new. Antique wood ceilings and bead board walls are accompanied by a totally new bathroom with a jetted tub/shower. Remodeling also includes new tile floor in kitchen and a window wall in living room allowing panoramic views of the natural cape landscape. Only a low sand dune separates this cottage from sandy beach.There are no buildings located between this cottage and Cape Cod Bay. Cottage is located in an area of quiet single family cottages. Location affords adequate privacy without isolation. Water views from almost every room.
Cottage has seven rooms, three bedrooms, two with a queen-size bed, and one with four single beds in the form of two bunk beds. One bedroom with a queen-size bed is on one side of the cottage. On the other side of the cottage are the other bedrooms. The kitchen is fully-equipped and was remodeled by current owners. Two new full bathrooms one with shower, one with jetted tub and shower. Outdoors is an enclosed shower with running hot and cold water. Located in the living room of the cottage is a glass fronted, gas fired, thermostat controlled, heating log which can be used if needed. Three ceiling fans and additional fans are present and again can be used as needed. The interior of the cottage is decorated to have a rustic look; that is: wood ceilings, white walls and brightly colored fabrics on beds and windows. The enclosed screened porch has both a seating area and a dining area, plus has views of the dunes and Cape Cod Bay. In addition, there is a separate dining room which also has views of the dunes and bay.
The beach is gently sloping and usually perfect for swimming. When tides go out, the sandbars make an ideal place for walking. Nearby are many casual and fine restaurants as well as art galleries and shopping of all kinds. The township of Eastham is home to the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Center and miles of National Seashore Beaches located on the Atlantic Ocean. When there is low tide on Cape Cod Bay, swimming is available at a local fresh water pond, or on the Atlantic Ocean side of Eastham. One last thing, the sunsets on Cape Cod Bay are spectacular - most people plan their 'away from cottage' activities to not interfere with watching the sunsets! This cottage has it all!
Bring your boat--with special permit boat can be anchored in tidal bay in front of property!!

Me and my family have been staying in this house every summer for the past 9 years. It's very hard to find a better spot with such easy access to the bay. Most waterfront properties in Eastham have many steps leading to the bay or no beach at high tide (not this one)- it is truly one of the best spots in Eastham (or maybe even the entire Cape)! The house has been recently updated and has all the features you will just love. From the roof deck to the 3 season room to the outdoor shower to the ample parking to the short and easy access to the bay to the high tide beach - we always have a great time in this house!!! Highly recommended!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Super stay, super cottage. This cottage is set amongst blowing grasses with the beach just over the dune. I remember with nostalgia napping in a bedroom with the windows open and the sound of the wind, the waves and the piping voices of my grandchildren playing on the beach. (This guest gave the cottage a 5 out of 5 rating, and stated the cottage was suitable for those over 55, those with teenagers and younger children and those seeking a romantic getaway.)Did you find this review helpful? A great spot. We really liked this place. It is in a really special location, with a great deck and spectacular views of the beach-especially at sunsets. The amenities in the house were fine-not super luxurious—but very comfortable. The spaces were cozy but intelligently planned and more than adequate. The owners were pleasant, efficient and helpful. We’d be happy to go back. Stay: 9/09 What a dream of a place. We spent a week in September at the cottage, one of the loveliest beach getaways we’ve ever had. It is an adorable place, and combines a cottage atmosphere with real comfort (great beds) and a very good kitchen, plus a non-bedroom getaway room in addition to the 3 bedrooms and other rooms. And you’re on your own beach! Just sand and rippling water and a series of amazing sunsets—the deck is a sunset must. About the owner: Margo and Frank have owned and rented out this beachfront cottage since 2000. We have worked with architects on two occasions to update amenities while keeping an authentic cottage atmosphere. We try hard to provide a unique experience that is pleasing to our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Eastham:
We bought this cottage because it is located directly on Cape Cod Bay and is a short walk to Great Pond. This particular cottage appealed to us because it is an authentic and unique Cape Cod beach house that has great character and charm. We stayed away from houses and properties that could be found in any town any where in the USA. When we travel to Cape Cod we want to travel to a unique place that feels different from our home street and our home back yard!
