  We arrived at the Placencia airport and a short walk brought us to the well maintained gardens at Los Porticos. The unit was very large and all amenities were of high quality. A huge balcony provided a wonderful view of the pool, grounds and beach which is a two minute walk away. The complex provides free bicycles which come in handy for riding into Placencia and sightseeing the other way to Seine Bight. It is a short 10 minute ride to Placencia or 20 minutes the other way. For exercise, we often walked into Placencia. The first language is English and the locals are very polite and helpful. Our unit at Los Porticos was amply supplied with all modern amenities, flat screen tv, the kitchen was very open and large and provided views of the beach. We walked into Placencia for several meals which were very inexpensive and very good. Snorkeling off the beach in front of the unit was a daily ritual as there were plenty of fish just metres offshore. Walks up and down the beach provided interesting views of the different complexes. We rented sea kayaks in town and kayaking through the mangroves was an excellent time, especially when the cost was only $20 for half a day. We found this to be a very safe community and never felt threatened at any time. Snorkeling and scuba diving facilities are located across the street from the complex and a car rental agency is a short 5 minute walk away. Placencia has the second largest reefs in the world next to The Great Barrier Reef in Australia. My daughter has a scuba diving licence so she went twice and really enjoyed her experiences. This is a great location to relax and unwind by the pool or beach. The manger of this unit is very well informed and helpful as are the residents of this complex. We were often offered rides into town by those who had cars or golf carts which is a popular mode of travel here. We highly recommend this complex and unit for a quiet, safe time by the beach. The water is warm and easy to swim in. A very enjoyable time.

  This place was gorgeous. We had never been to Belize before and now I have an amazing place to remember it. The condo was clean and spacious, the deck was so big and the view was amazing. I have recommended this place to many family and friends as the town was welcoming and their is so much to see. The grounds of Los Porticos were amazing and well-kept. The staff was friendly too. We even had the opportunity to snorkel every morning before breakfast as the ocean was right out the front door. Can wait to go back.

  We had a great vacation staying at this condo in Belize. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything was so nice and new and clean. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The pool and beach were never busy and we enjoyed a refreshing dip every day. The water was so clean and clear in the pool and off the beach. Placencia village offers all the amenities of food, stores and acivities without being overly "touristy". We enjoyed the walk into town every night for supper and the evening's entertainment.

  Had such a wonderful time. The condo was absolutely fabulous, great space, great kitchen and plenty of space everywhere. The deck was especially wonderful. The beach and pool were also to die for. I would completely recommend this place as a vacation spot. LOVED IT!! Already have the next trip booked!!
