The Point House on Pencil Point, Moose Pond is a wonderful relaxing location for family and friends to gather. the property is available for rent spring, summer and fall. The property overlooks Moose Pond and has breathtaking views and the calming songs of the loons. The property offers ample space for children and pets to play. There is a picnic table and metal fire pit to enjoy meals and evening cocktails while watching the sunset and the moon rise. In addition to the bedrooms there is space for sleeping on couches (couches do not pull out). There is a new rec room in the finished basement with a pool table, tv,music and 2 couches. The Point House is within walking distance of the East Chair lodge of Shawnee Peak ski area and approx 1/4 mile from the main lodge for great hiking. Great hiking trails are available to climb Pleasant MT. Renters of The Point House can also utilize the tennis court which is located across the street. We will be sharing it with you, but it is very easy for renters to arrange for court time with us by just making a quick phone call. There is a 75lb mushroom anchored boat mooring available. boats can also be secured to the raft while on the mooring. Boats can be launched via the public ramp on Route 302. There is a PRIVATE, sandy beach with a wonderful sandbar for great shallow swimming that kids will love. there is a raft further out for deeper swimming. There are a variety of golf courses. Bridgton is a great little town with a many restaurants, shopping and a brand new movie theatre. Our family has had many wonderful moments on Moose Pond and the Point House is the perfect place for renters to enjoy the area. I would definitely recommend this summer rental to all my friends. Ideal shallow water, sandy beach for small children. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would possibly need and plenty of living space in the living room. The bathrooms have been completely refurbished. The photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. The owner was very helpful with questions about the area and if we needed anything. Plenty of parking and quite private. We rented there the last two summers but are unable to rent next year. Hopefully, we'll be able to return in 2014.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.

Our family of 6 (mom, dad, 3 teens and dog) spent four terrific days here. The house is beautiful and so comfortable and is located on a gorgeous wooded property right on a crystal clear lake. Property comes with a hammock, canoe, fire pit, floating dock - and we made use of all of it! When we arrived there were a few small glitches and Beth, the owner, responded immediately. Town of Bridgeton is quaint and there are plenty of small shops and restaurants. All in all a wonderful, relaxing family vacation!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family recently rented the Point House and it was a perfect location for little kids. We had six adults, and three kids under the age of 4. The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for us to eat dinners either on the screened in porch or at the big table in the living room. The house has an amazing deck overlooking the lake and also has a rather large yard with nice pine trees right by the water's edge. The private beach was perfect for our family of little ones since we did not have to lug beach chairs and toys back and forth-we simply left them down by the beach area. The beach itself was beautiful-it was all sandy and the water was crystal clear-the water was very shallow, up to an adult's knees for about 30 yards which allowed the kids to explore the water and have an amazing time! The place is also pet friendly-we own a yellow lab who spent the entire time swimming at the beach with us! Bridgton has an adorable town and is only 30 minutes away from Storyland and North Conway. We would definitely return to the Point House and the owner was a pleasure to work with!Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Our family has been coming to Moose Pond for 4 generations. Now that we all live in different parts of New England, Moose Pond seems to be the place that we come to be together as a family.
Why the Owner Chose Bridgton:
The family loved the location on the Pond for water sports and the closeness to Shawnee Peak for skiing.
