Fisherman's Hide-a-Way Madison River
- Minimum stay:2 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Unique mountain cabin bordering Montana's Beaverhead National Forest and its original gold mining claims. Panning for gold is a great pastime in the area.
Only 12 miles to the Madison River (a Blue Ribbon Fishing Stream) and five nearby lakes, makes this the ultimate fishing and hiking experience. This cabin is like none other than you've seen with spectacular views of the Revenue Range mountains.
Named the Grizzly Bear cabin, this is pure Montana. This cabin, fashioned after an old miner's cabin, has a beautiful stone fireplace, barnwood kitchen, unique tree branch railings on a central stairway, hardwood floors, sleeps 6, all surrounded by a spacious deck just 10 feet from North Meadowcreek, near Ennis, Montana. If you have horses, bring them along as we have corrals on the property.
Come and be our guest at the Lost Bear Ranch in the Grizzly Bear cabin. You'll never forget it!!!
Keywords: cabin with spacious panorama deck and 15ft from a fresh water running stream.

If you are looking for a place that has a cabin feel, beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere with many fishing options and other entertaining venues, look no further. The cabin is right out of a magazine and the view from the cabin is from a painting. The owners (Patti & Robert) who have perfected the art of being invisible, but if needed were accessible and provided a pseudo concierge service to our family. The most relaxing vacation our family has taken.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family and I spent 5 days at the Grizzly Bear Cabin and had an amazing time. The cabin literally sits 15 steps from a creek that offers countless hours of entertainment and relaxation. Words cannot express the absolute beauty of the surroundings on which the Grizzly Bear Cabin sits. From the moment you drive under the entrance to the "Lost Bear Ranch", you will be mesmerized by the surrounding beauty. There are mountain ranges from just about every angle along with the Badger National Forest being a stone's throw from the property. The Cabin had every amentity we needed, including wireless internet... Every room in the Cabin is tastefully put together. There is a grill facing the river for those of you that enjoy cooking outdoors. One of my favorite rituals was the nightly fire we had in the fire pit, 25 steps from the river with views of the Bridger Mountain Range... The Cabin has pans for panning for gold and the owners are currently installing a new jacuzzi (to bad that wasn't completed for us, but we'll be sure to use that next year). My wife and I spent hours looking for a vacation home in MT and are beyond grateful for the owners hospitality and friendliness... The owners will surely bend over backwards to ensure your stay with them is perfect. If you are looking for the perfect vacation hideaway in MT, look no further. Also, this property is in great proximity to; Yellowstone National Park, Virginia City and Nevada City, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Big Sky, multiple lakes and rivers for fishing, Madison Buffalo Jump and much, much more. When we were leaving the ranch, we asked our kids what their favorite thing was about MT - My daughter answered with "Hanging out with the Johnsons at GBR (Grizzly Bear Ranch)" - Thank you for making our vacation so special.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Grizzly Bear cabin on Lost Bear Ranch is a slice of paradise, only outdone by the hospitality of owners Robert and Patti Johnson who happened to be home (next door) during our stay. The interior of the cabin is right out of a L.L. Bean, Ralph Lauren, or Orvis add. Grizzly Bear is tucked away along a stream (5 ft away from deck, lulls you to sleep at night) with trees and mountains behind and a view for miles down the valley in front. The large side deck (not visable in exterior photo) provides a great option for eating inside or out. My only hesitation in writing a glowing review is we'd love to keep this place a secret, but Robert and Patti deserve better! Well done!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
