A friend and I stayed at North Shore Cottage in early December 2011. It was the best vacation EVER. I have been to Aruba before and knew that I wanted to stay along the more rustic north and east side but still be able to easily get to the busier active area. This cottage is the MOST perfect location for everything you want to do on the island! Julia is the sweetest most accommodating property owner that I have ever dealt with. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation. I highly recommend renting this cottage for anyone who is looking for the perfect quiet and beautiful vacation spot!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Tage in Aruba verbracht. Die Cottage ist voll ausgestattet. Es fehlt nichts! Es ist zwar notwendig ein Auto zu mieten. Aber es wurde von Julia auch gesagt und dann Navi-Garmin von Ihr hat uns immer zuverlässig nach Hause gebracht. Bis zum Strand sind es 5 Autominuten oder weniger. Well my husband and I just returned form the North Shore Cottage in Sunny Aruba. Our stay was fantastic! The cottage was just as it looks in the photos online. Everything you need is already there and it is so clean and everything so perfectly in it's place! We slept better at the cottage than we do at home. So peaceful, birds singing, frogs - well whatever you call that thing frogs do (rib bit?), anyway just lovely. Julia and Sjoerd were both very pleasant and helpful. The cottage guide they put together for the your stay is very informative and extremely helpful when choosing things to do from beaches to dining out. We would recommend this to everyone and we plan to come back to Sunny Aruba and we will stay at the North Shore Cottage. Thank you for a great experience!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking to get away from the crowds at the resorts, but still want to be close to everything, I highly recommend a stay at the North Shore Cottage. My husband and I stayed there during our second week of vacation in November. We used the chairs and beach towels when we went to Arashi Beach, which is our favorite on the island. We entertained relatives who were staying at the Marriott. They enjoyed star gazing in the evening before we drove them back to their resort. One day I left the door open while unloading groceries. I felt some extra eyes on me-an iguana who had entered the kitchen. After a little coaxing, I got the green intruder out. The experience was quite funny. We were happy to have internet and a house phone. We figured out the best way to use the air conditioners and not be wasteful. The kitchen worked out quite well for our needs, once we figured out how to light the burners and stove. Be sure to visit the North Shore are looking for peace and quiet and special visits from "nature."Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at this cottage last week and couldn't of been happier with it. It is set quietly away from all the hotels but still less than a 5 minute drive to get to them and the restaurants that are close by. The police station is located right down the road along with a gas station, grocery store and several banks. Everything you need is in the cottage. They even had a nice pitcher of ice cold water in the fridge when we got there! They have snorkeling equipment and plenty of beach towels. A cell phone is also provided for local calls which really comes in handy when you "misplace" yourself on the island. We even had to call Julia the first night when we couldn't find our way back to the cottage. She was so sweet about it and anything you needed was just a phone call away. Sjoerd even brought some extra supplies to the cottage. Martijn was very helpful and even gave us some directions on some great places to eat. I loved that we didn't have to bother with bringing a computer. We used the one in the cottage to talk on facebook to everyone back home since phone calls were so expensive. We're so pleased to say that everything at the North Shore Cottage was superb! The cottage was beautiful and full of every amenity ~ Julia and Sjoerd thought of everything! The location is truly ideal, and the views are breathtaking. All conveniences are close by; moreover, our two teens were never bored. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer! We recommend this cottage wholeheartedly!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a week at the cottage and had an amazing time. We can't wait to go back. The owners are so nice and available if you need them. The place has all of the amenities for relaxing and for lots of activities. We saved money on the island by cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, and we took full advantage of the mountain bikes, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, coolers, etc. You are off the beaten path, so it is quiet and relaxing, but you are mere minutes from some of the best beaches on the island. You won't regret a vacation here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is a greatly little cottage! It is tucked away from the noise and crowds but close enough so that you in the mix of things within 3 - 5 minutes. Fully equipped kitchen is very nice! The cottage is green which is a plus for our planet. This place is quaint, and offers a very laid back vacation with all of the amenities you could every imagine. The high speed internet access and complimentary cell phone was a wonderful plus. please stay at the Northshore cottage, you will not forget it. I'm looking forward to my next stay!! Our 11 day stay at the Cottage was wonderful. We could not have picked a better location or a more gracious host. Julia is the best. She knows how to please her guest and keep them coming back. We stay at the cottage for 11days and everyday was a blast. It has everything you need for a great vacation, from snokeling equipment to candles for a nice romantic nightcap on the porch. Julia is a great host and makes sure all of your needs are meet. The location is close to everything but in a quiet area. Our stay at the cottage was great. As timeshare holders, it was beautiful to experience the island in a setting away from the resort scene, in a house that really feels like home. Julia and Sjoerd, the owners, are very attentive and accommodating, and really maintain the place in great condition. In short, this little cottage was a perfect choice and will always be on top of the list for our future Aruba trips.
