I looked forward every morning to walk out into the back, that's right...walk out into the back, like it was your backyard and watch the sunrise each morning, even when it was a little rain the sunrises were as beautiful as the woman that I was blessed to share those moments with. An occasional turtle rose their head to see was over there on the land, and once I saw the whales just swimming by enjoying the morning trip somewhere...And if you're lucky enough to come during the waxing moon, the nights are as beautiful as any movie or picture you ever seen or dream of a tropical night...its real!!!!! An ideal location for access to the busier North Shore spots and a nice drive down the coast to the busier Waikiki. And for those who just want to chill out and enjoy the beach the country atmosphere, this is the place. Food and restaurants are near by. Comfortable apartment with all the amenities and then some, you'll find some new ones on your last day there. Looking at the calendar we gotta book early!!!! thanks

My family and I stayed at this condo in late May. The condo was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful from the very beginning....the initial reservation through our stay. When we found the wash machine was not working, he was very responsive and worked to immediately resolve the issue. He was very accessible if we needed anything and checked in to ensure the accommodations met our satisfaction. He is a very personable person and really works to provide excellent customer service. The photos posted are very accurate and reflected exactly what we found. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. We were leery about not having AC, but it was not an issue. We had a beautiful ocean breeze blowing in every day, it was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you needed to fix meals. The condo was stocked with plenty of snorkel equipment which we used. And, it was true in that we practically had the beach to ourselves. It was a very enjoyable stay and we'd recommend this condo hands down. We'd stay again.

This condo has the best beach and pool access of the entire building. Parking is also close to the unit. It is well equiped and clean. The building and grounds, though old are immaculately kept. While we were there the unit had a couple issues but Emmanuel was extermrly quick to react, very helpful and everything was great. By chance we met another person who had stayed in Emmanuel's unit too. Imagine the chance of that! Her sentiments were exactly the same as ours, This is a fantastic place to stay and we will nver stay in Oahu anywhere esle. Thanks for a great time Emmanuel.

The condo was just as pictured and very clean and well equipped. There is a nice breeze that goes through it to keep things nice and cool. The beach was amazing and very beautiful and quiet. A local neighbor told me that the snorkeling here was even better than Hanuama Bay. Unfortunately, it rained the whole week we were there so we didn't actually try snorkeling here but the water was very nice and no big waves. You could see where the big waves were breaking out where the reaf is. We did have an issue while we were staying at the condo but Emmanuel was extremely responsive and helpful. He was very concerned for the quality of our vacation and making sure the condo was comfortable.

We stayed in Hawaii for 10 days, 7 spent at this condo and 3 spent at a condo in Makaha. Our entire condo unit in Makala could have fit in this condo's living area. Having the large bedroom, separate from the living area was a real benefit. The king sized top quality bed, felt like I was sleeping at home. The large bureau and end tables and full closet were great for storing all our clothing. The kitchen in this condo is first rate including all the supplies you would ever need- all top notch compared to our other condo. The dual sinks in the bathroom were a nice feature. There were even two sinks in the kitchen- nice! We could not believe that there was a lap top for us to use- what a huge benefit for getting around the Island, and finding things to do and learning about Oahu, not to mention keeping up with what was going on back hom. However, by far the most impressive aspect of this condo is the location. From the lanai you take about 15 steps across a well manicured lawn, onto a soft sandy beach, and jump into the warm, calm ocean water. You are not getting blasted by rolling surf, but can actually go for a swim, and snorkel in the reef. It is even safe for your kids to splash around in. The area is very quiet- far away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and there is no $20.00 per night parking fees, and your condo is not 3 blocks away from the beach. We visited Honolulu 3 times, a short 45 minute drive away, and visited Pearl Harbor, Waikiki, Diamond Head, The Sony Open Golf tournament, and many other locations, but loved coming home every night. There is no elevator to descend/ascend and no lenghty walks to the beach. You grab your coffee in the morning, walk out your screen door, and take your 15 stride walk to the beach, and watch the sunrise! Or go for a long walk along secluded, quiet beaches- far away from the maddening crowds!! I hope I have not missed anything. This was one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had. I only wish I could have dragged this condo over to Makala for our last three days!! Michel's description of his condo is 100% accurate and the photos reflect what you can expect. The Foodland Store is great (10-15 minutes away) and if you give them your phone # you get member prices- we saved $25.00 on a grocery bill of 140.00. The Polynesian Cultural Center and Brigham Young University with a beautiful cathedral and gardens is also nearby, as are three golf courses within 20 minutes- one of them is only $12.00 a round!

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the condo very much. Since it was our first time visiting Oahu we were unsure of the location but it turned out well as it was centrally located to everything we wanted to see. The tradewinds at the condo were always a pleasure and made sleeping comfortable. Our favorite part of the condo was the lanai and we pretty much hung out there for eating, playing cards, and just relaxing with the beautiful view. You can never run out of things to do in Oahu but it was great to come back to the condo to recharge our batteries after a day of fun! Emmanuel was kind and checked in with us several times during our stay. We have many fond memories of Punaluu.

Quiet, clean, peaceful place in a rural, coastal setting. Hiking trails, breathtaking views, multiple non-hectic sandy gorgeous beaches, great swimmming.....are all right there. If you want the touristy shopping, the crowded beaches, fabulously expensive restaurants and the can-be-fun for a while hubbub...well...you can always drive back into Honolulu. Great vacation. Thanks.

We stayed for a week during our spring break. We left snow and came back to it so Hawaii was a GREAT break! The condo was perfectly situated and we enjoyed the beach and its beautiful water/view. It was quite windy and the reef allowed us to snorkel when the rest of the beaches on the north shore had too many waves. The condo was very comfortable and well equipped. We look forward to coming back.Brenda and Jeff Cooper

My husband and I recently spent 11 wonderful days in Paradise. Everything was even better than we had hoped for. Everything is provided for you, all you have to do is kick back and have a blast!! My daughter and her husband and two kids aged 12 and 15 joined us for a week and had THE best time ever. We swam and snorkled several times a day, saw lots of sea turtles and just had a ball. We had rented a car and took a road trip every day, we discovered some amazing places and things to do within just a short distance from our condo. Every day was an adventure, we've already booked it again for next year. I really can't say enough great things about this condo, it's location is awesome, so quiet and with the beach right on your doorstep. We couldn't ask for more. If you're looking for a totally relaxing vacation while still being just a few minutes from Honolulu with all its hustle and bustle, this is the place for you.

Spent 11 days and had a great time. Condo has lots of space, snorkeling equipment and things to do. Love sipping my morning coffee on the screened in porch. Snorkeling in front was great with the reef protecting us from the huge winter surf. Swam with a large sea turtle once, what fun! Don't forget to visit Ted's Bakery while you are there, you won't regret it!

Location, location, location!! This is the primo unit in the primo spot. I have been coming to Oahu for almost 20 years for business & pleasure & this is my new spot. Perfect for kids or a quiet getaway, the beach & water are clean and protected, the snorkeling is some of the best on the island. I just got home and am already trying to figure out when I can go back for a longer stay. Thanks Emmanuel!!!

Looking for someplace to really kick-back? This is just for you. Perfectly situated on the eastern side of the island, great for exploring all of Oahu and still have a quiet home base to return to. There's big waves and lots of surfing and shopping close by to the North (don't forget the Turtles, FANTASTIC!) and easy to make your way around the whole island from Punalu'u. Swim in the pool. We found the beach in our own back yard to be the BEST! Snorkel, swim, sunbath. Perfect water temperature. The condo is great and you really feel welcome, just home. Everything you need for cooking, relaxing, entertainment, even a washer and dryer (don't over pack like I did). We don't have kids but there seemed to be a more than ample supply of things for children and besides if your kids are anything like what ours used to be like they will never want to get out of the water. We spent hours there. The condo was wonderful and we are already planning our return visit.

Our family of 4 stayed in this beachfront condo for 6 days at the end of September and had a blast! The condo was well stocked with beach equipment and electronics for the kids. We dined on the screened-in lanai every night. It was extremely peaceful and very quiet. We felt like we had our own private beach, as we were the only people around most days. It was paradise! Emmanuel is very responsive and returned our deposit within days of leaving. Thanks for a great place to stay, Emmanuel!

From the lanai in the morning, pool right out the door, sandy path to the ocean, just steps away we were delighted with this property. Be sure and visit Ted's Bakery up the coast. Oh the pie!!! Aloha! We stayed at this condo for 22 wonderful days. While we were originally cautious about booking such a long stay, sight unseen, I will say that his condo is exactly as described. Everything we could have needed or wanted. Beach gear and toys for all ages, lots of extra towels and sheets, huge paperback library, we borrowed 1 and left several of our own. Very well stocked kitchen. Best of all... location location location. We could stay home at pool or beach, or be a short 20-30 minute drive from Kanehoe, Kailua, or Makapuu to the south or 20 min. north to the best snorkeling at Sharks Cove & 3 Tables (don't waste $$ or time on Hanuama Bay, too crowded), surfing at Chen's reef. Just the best. NOTE: shop at Foodland at Sharks Cove rather than Laie, much cheaper! Giovanni's Shrimp was GREAT. Emmanuel checked in with us, more than once, to make sure all was well. We had one very small issue and he took care of it right away. I give this 2 thumbs up!! I don't think you will be disappointed. Feel free to request our phone number from him for additional information or references if you require.

My sister booked at Turtle Bay Resort and paid twice what we paid and the beach was a very crowded and a five minute walk ,as for Emmanuel condo the beach was only 30 steps away ..I enjoyed the massage chair and everything else .PCC was only minutes away . We had a wonderful and comfortable stay in this unit. It's a corner first floor unit with the lanai fronting the pool and the ocean beyond. For us ex-kamaaina's it was good to be away from "concrete city" (Waikiki) and revisit island living. It was great to be so close to Turtle Bay for golfing/drinks; stop in at Crouching Lion for dinner/drinks; shop at Tamura's (cheaper than Foodland); and be sure to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center about 5 miles away. It's pricey but it is absolutely the best! Emmanuel is a really cool braddah that is easy to get a hold of and quick to respond!

Imagine entering an adorable and niceley decorated apartment at night, wondering what the scenery might be once you wake up. Well, the most beautiful ocean view and lush garden awaits you in the morning. We enjoyed beauty and serenity, our daily come back to this little paradise after having explored all that Oahu has to offer. It was just as described on the site. Our hosts Emmanuel was sure to check on us to be sure we were comfortable. We loved the privacy and the quiet, the warm breezes through the Palm trees, the lovely pool and the views of the ocean were stunning! It is a very private place super cozy and clean The bedding was soft and the towels smelled like the Waikiki sunshine!! Lots to see and do within a 10 mis. radius. Stop by the roadside shrimp stand and see what you get!! :) Mahalo to our gracious hosts!

The beaches on this part of the island were beautiful, calm and empty. The drive into waikiki was beautiful and easy, about 30 minutes. This side of the island is dar enough from waikiki to egt away, but close enough to drive into as we did. My wife and I spent 3 nights at this condo and really enjoyed it. Its in a perfect spot to really see all of the island and just far enough away from downtown to feel like you are away from the rat race. The beach is really nice although we were unlucky with the weather. The natives told us that the windy overcast weather we experienced was unusual but we were able to get one good day at the beach. This condo is a great value for anyone looking to get away from the crowds but not spend a fortune. The condo is decorated really nice and has everything you need.

First of all, Emmanuel is AWESOME!!!!! So friendly and sweet. I came to Oahu for a week with 4 of my girlfriends and we stayed at Emmanuels condo... Can I just say...BEAUTIFUL?!!! It's steps away from the beach. He has so much snorkeling equipment(fins, masks, snorkels)... You can snorkel right out in front of the property. There is a private beach, really peaceful... So one way you get an amazing view of the beach, and the other way, you get a view of the beautiful mountains... So PERFECT! The condo has internet access, tv, huge king sized bed, futon, enclosed patio(but the breeze just flows right through). Towels, laundry in the unit, pots, pans, cups, blankets, pillows... Seriously, everything you need is there! It's a very nicely decorated unit!!!! But also has that beachy, laid-back-Hawaiian feel to it. I am SOOOOOO glad I found this place! I loved it so much here, that I am seriously considering buying a unit in the complex. Stay here, you wont regret it! I give it tons of thumbs up!

Excellent property, super clean, no bugs or wet or anything negative, lots of supplies, dishes etc. Excellent size, everything worked great, super great beach, quiet with excellent security, great people in building. But the best part is the owner, so honest, upstanding, and geniunely concerned about his guests.Don't be afraid to rent from this owner, he didn't get all these positive comments for nothing - didn't get to meet him but he felt like family via emails and the phone.Just a note, bring earplugs anywhere you stay because there are wild roosters all over the island and they do like to get up early!Go enjoy, you will really be glad to get away from waikiki and still be close to everything.

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and although we only stayed here for 3 days, it was an absolutely positive experience. The snorkeling equipment was used every day, and it was so awesome to wake up to the sound and view of the ocean. We were experiencing Oahu as much as we could during our short stay, so did not spend much time actually being indoors, but it was a very relaxing and calming place to return to at the end of our adventures. Very clean and well supplied, it felt like our home away from home. The gentlemen who work there were also very helpful and friendly. This made for an excellent first impression of Hawaii-- Thank you so much! (Punaluu is so charming!)

Our little family lives in waikiki and it was so nice to get away from the city. It was so beautiful and relaxing, there's boogy boards which our one year old loved, snorkeling, fishing right off the beach,or just taking a tan at the beach which is steps away and also the pool right out the back lanai, internet in the condo, also the condo was beautifully furnished with a great breeze from the beach. There were so many games, movies, and music provided, that we never could run out of fun. Like marrio brothers(nintendo 64), or Hitman(x-box), fun for kids. We live here and we enjoyed ourselves on this-get-a-way it help bring us closer together and our child slept better. Don't beleive us try it! The beach is so calm and I really loved that is was not crowded and everyone was very freindly. There is Sunset Beach, polyenison cultural center, 7-11, and many places to eat, it is so beautiful at night with the full moon shining on the ocean as we were eating dinner on the outside lanai, the condo is well set up and has everthing you could want right at your fingertips, we rate it at a 10......Aloha

The unit is very well equipped, clean and bright. The screened lanai is a pleasant place to take a meal or just to sit and enjoy the sound of the surf and the view. The beach is quiet and safe to swim in even in the winter high surf conditions when we visited in November. The owner has recently had ceiling fans installed which work very well at maintaing a comfortable temperature and airflow throughout the apartment. The owner and the lady who does the cleaning are both very pleasant to deal with and add to the enjoyment of a visit to this vacation rental. A minor problem with the wireless internet was dealt with immediately by phoning the owner who arranged for a very competent and very pleasant computer consultant. Should we ever visit Oahu again we will certainly try to rent this unit again

What a wonderful condo for us to enjoy on our very first trip to Hawaii in September this year. Very nicely decorated, very clean and within 30 steps to the beach, where the water was absolutely beautiful & calm. Everyday we practically had the beach to ourselves, where we made use of the snorkling equipment provided. We saw many different beautiful schools of fish, a morey eel & a sea turtle one day. We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai every morning to have our breakfast and enjoy the view. If you turn right out of the condos, you can enjoy a very nice 30 minuite drive to Sunset Beach and watch the surfers. Another 15 minutes or so to we were at Haleiwa with its cool atmosphere, plenty of nice restaurants and shops. We loved driving to Waikiki and shopping at the International Market. There is just so much to do, but the best thing is you get to come home to such a great relaxing place. THANKS SO MUCH EMMANUEL! David & Nancy Bennett

Our family had a wonderful seven day visit at the condo. Before arriving, we were a little concerned about finding comfortable accommodations for all six of us. Upon arriving we were pleased to find that there was plenty of room and bedding for all. Everything was as described on the website. Boogie boards and snorkeling equipment were great and everyone was able to find equipment that fit! Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, spices and basics. Pool, patio area and beach were only steps away. (Great area for snorkeling and calm beach for the kids.) Computer with internet was a big help. Always felt safe on the beach and in the neighborhood. We were a little apprehensive before arriving because we had found the condo on the internet. We are now totally thrilled with the rental. Emmanuel always responded quickly when we had questions or concerns prior to our arrival. He also checked in by phone during our stay to be sure all was ok. Feel free to call me if you have any concerns prior to renting. (530) 559-0105 Ron

Fantastic! This condo is right on the beach. I love the three dining tables with umbrellas adjacent to the swimming pool area. I didnt get a sunburn and I was out in the sun for 2 days on the beach. I had a nice glass of wine and some snacks at the tables as the sun set on the beautiful beach. The water is calmer early in the morning. I found the afternoon surf and undertow quite strong. I would recommend swimming in the morning if possible. The condo was great. Highly recommended.

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Mr. Chen's condo. As past guests have commented, we too were a little hesitant renting on line but you can rest assured, it is exactly as described in print and in pictures. This truly was THE BEST unit in the building. You cannot get any closer to the beach, which had no more than 6 people on it at any given time. The sunrises were amazing and Mr. Chen supplies you with everything you could possibly need for a really enjoyable holiday. The King size bed was sooo comfortable! This is definately the place to stay for a quiet, relaxing time. We look forward to our return next year. Mahalo! The Allen Family

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay right next to the beach this is the place. Away from the busy Waikiki hustle and bustle it's like a home away from home. We love this place so much that we are definitely going to come back again.

We just got back from Hawaii and are making plans to go again. Mr. Chen's condo was extremely accomodating. We stayed there with our four kids. It was wonderful to have plenty of boogie boards, masks, snorkels, coolers, etc. to use. We also made use of the washer and dryer and DVD player. Anyone would be very comfortable staying here, and the beach is AWESOME. Thank you Mr. Chen. By the way, we did receive our full deposit back, which also was great.

My husband and I just got back from a glorious week at Emanuel's condo on the lovely windward coast. If you are looking for a quiet, empty, beautiful beachfront place, this is it. The condo is simple but very clean, and well-stocked. We have our own snorkeling gear, but he does stock the place with lots of stuff if you don't. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, and lots of videos, books, etc. (we never used those once!) The beach is safe for kids, because it's protected by the reef 1/2 mile (?) away, but it's also great for snorkeling. I saw a 400-500 lb. sea turtle a few hundred feet out toward the reef. There are plenty of fish and sealife! Many of the people are retired residents and very friendly. Even Ken, the caretaker/gardener, was super helpful with snorkel/travel tips. The north shore waves/ Haleiwa town is about 20-30 mins. north, and Kaneohe Bay about the same distance south. This is NOT the place if you like to party, drink, club and have Waikiki style beaches and fancy accomodations. We never saw more than 7-8 people at a time on the entire stretch of beach. Also, the washer/dryer is very convenient- you go home with clean laundry! I was worried renting off of craigslist, but it really worked out.

My wife and I stayed here in mid Jan 08. The condo turned out to be an excellent place to stay. Just minutes from the PCC, a must see in our book, and just a half-hour or so to the North Shore. The condo was clean and nicely furnished and we enjoyed the free internet access. Thanks Mr. Chen

I enjoyed the fact that the beach was literally 30 steps away. It is a beautiful location with the ocean and waves rocking you to sleep.

We just got home (12/31/07) from a one week stay at Mr. Chen's condo. Everything from start to finish was a wonderful experience!! He is very quick to respond to your emails and I was very impressed to get a personal phone call fomr him before our arrival. It was a plesant drive from Honolulu and I could do it like I lived there after a couple of days. The weather did not quite work in our favor to partake in all of the beach gear, but we definately want to try again when it is not Winter. Everything was fabulous and it felt like home. Would never stay in a hotel when the beach is right outside the door. Who could ask for anything more! It made our first trip to Hawaii very enjoyable and much more relaxing with a 1 year old and his 8 year old sister! THANKS MR CHEN and LISA too!!
