The 500 sqm house used to be a farmhouse and is surrounded by fields, vineyards and olive groves at the foot of the medieval mountain village of San Giovanni a Piro looking over one of the most beautiful stretches of the Mediterranean sea. Wild and rural just outside it is stunning and comfortable inside. The Estate is practically self sufficient in terms of food, wine, water and energy. Its owner says: I can lock the door and tell the rest of the world 'you stay there and I stay here'.
Within the estate is a 17th Century country palace that has not been touched for the last two centuries. Five kilometres away is the enchanting little harbour village of Scario from where you can catch a boat and go to an extraordinary stretch of coastline completely unspoilt.
