Located in a small quiet village on the North of Brussels, this interior designers villa is the perfect escape to discover Belgium. 15' from Brussels airport, 45' to Ghent and Antwerp, 1h to Bruges and 20' drive to Brussels, will make your discovery of Belgium easy. Next to the town of Wemmel with many shops, supermarket, groceries, shopping malls and sunday market will make your shopping very convenient.
The closest sightseeing attractions are the Atomium, the landmark building build in 1958 for the world exhibition, The Chinese Pavaillion and Japanese tower, build next to Royal Palace of Laeken. Also the Botanical Garden in Meise.
The house has been refurbished in the Summer of 2012.
The house is set in a small village on the North of Brussels. In a nice garden fenced off with hedges it is a safe haven for children to play or to enjoy some lovely time outside.
It includes two large terraces with tiled floors, and garden furniture. The garden is about 20 ares or 2000M² or 0.50 acres US.
The house has been decorated by an interior designer and is filled with antiques, designer fabrics, with great attention to decorative details.
The kitchen includes all equipment and a small breakfast area. An extra room annexe includes a fitness room with washer dryer facilities.
Upstairs consits of :
1 very large master bedroom with duplex space including an office space and en-suite bathroom.
2 master bedrooms with Queen size beds
There are two more bathrooms : one shower room, one bathroom with tub, double sink and also a seperate toilet.
There is ample space to park.
It is a tranquil & private setting and very safe for children.
A biking path on the street leads you to fields which are ideal for mountain biking, biking or walking.

What a marvelous home! My husband and I (and our 15 month old daughter), along with his parents and grandpa stayed here, for four nights while my husbands folks where in town visiting. Let me first start off by saying how incredible Yves is, as soon as we arrived, we called him and he rushed right over within a minute. He gave a quick tour, then gave us lots of tips about the area. He was incredibly nice and so sweet in answering all of our questions. This was our first time ever using anything like homeaway.com, and I have to admit I was very nervous. I was also especially nervous, since the house is decorated in absolutely gorgeous antiques and having a 15 month old with us who can, at times, be a little spit fire and want to touch EVERYTHING. I didn't want her to touch anything in fear she may break something. But after a day or so, I started to relax and felt totally comfortable in the home, and felt comfortable with my daughter making herself at home as well. The Villa, was clean, and very well maintained, and the beds where so comfortable, it was difficult for my husband to pull me out of bed in the morning for us to start our days of exploring, Brussels. :) The yard is much bigger than I pictured. My daughter enjoyed running around the villa, and exploring. I also really appreciated the fact that is it completely gated in, so didn't have to worry about her running into the yard if we turned our heads for a second. I loved that there is an alarm system on the house, it made us feel so safe in a different country. There are a couple different grocery stores right down the road from the villa, so you can by groceries for you stay. The house is very well stocked with everything we needed while there, such as toilet paper, trash bags, towels, laundry soap, etc. All in all, we would come back to this villa again if we had the chance!! Enjoyed very much staying in the house, located in a quite area just 15 minutes drive from the center of Brussels and at a convenient location for taking trips to other Belgian old cities. I spent a wonderful week at this lovely villa near Brussels. The house was great and the decoration fabulous, I had the impression that I had hired the designer myself as I loved everything in the house. I sat and relaxed in the garden and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was able to go back and forth to the city with no problem. The owner was very helpful and contributed to the success of my vacations. I will recommend this villa to all my friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
