    We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very clean and in a quiet location. I loved the quiet hours as I am a light sleeper and the fact that everyone abides by it was great. Just a short drive to see turtles, beaches and snorkeling and not a lot of traffic to get to these places. We ate lunch one day at Bamboo and it was very good. There is shopping nearby for groceries and necessities.

    This was our 3rd time renting this unit and have reserved the unit for a future stay. The condo is perfect for a couple seeking a quiet relaxing experience. We appreciated the addition of secure Wi-Fi for business purposes. The pool area has been refurbished and is very nice. Builiding A offers beautiful open sunset views, we would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends. It has been a pleasure dealing with the owner. Check out the new Lava Lava Beach Club located on the beach in Waikoloa for affordable/casual dining or drinks on the beach and of course beautiful sunsets. Lots of whale activity for entertainment on the Kohala coast this winter!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

    Recently we stay at this wonderful condo for 5 nights. Sunday evening we pleasantly arrived at this ground floor unit with a beatuiful view of sunset. It is a clean unit with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and is conveniently located near restaurants, a gas station and a grocery store. In the morning we could hear some upstairs noise, however, considering the unbeatable price and all other benefits, it was not at all a big deal. From there in Waikoloa Village, we could easily drive out to many places for fun activities including snorkeling at the Mauna Lani beach (I swam with 4 spotted eagle rays!), boogie boarding at the Hapuna Beach, tour in the Waipio Valley, sunset & star gazing at the Mauna Kea visitor center, Coral Reef Adventure's dolphin tour in Kailua-Kona (we swam with 20+ wild dolphins!), etc. Also we appreciated the owner and his assistant's excellent communications before, during and after our stay - thank you so much!

    We stayed in this condo for one week and everything was great. The apartment is clean, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, looking at the lovely view and watching the wild turkeys walk by. We had the swimming pool to ourselves most afternoons. The condo is close to many great beaches for swimming and snorkelling and is also convenient for hiking. The owner was very helpful and returned the damage deposit promptly. I would strongly recommend this place to others.

    We required a reasonably priced, quite, clean place to stay in the area for a weeks business trip- This condo was exactly as advertised- quite, clean and well stocked, we just had to add ourselves and any food we wanted.. The owner was very very helpful and easy to deal with.

    My husband and I stayed here for a week. The location was great and the apartment was in excellent condition, with every amenity we needed (including wifi). The kitchen was particularly well supplied and clean. John provided very useful information about activities in the area and promptly returned the deposit. Highly recommend this property.

    We were able to settle in and feel relaxed and comfortable. Also, we loved the fact that they have a noise curfew from 10:00 pm until 8:00 am. A nice, quiet, peaceful home base.

    We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the lanai of this condo every morning taking in the beautiful scenery of the golf course and ocean while eating our breakfast and enjoying the cool breeze. This place was comfortable, clean, and very convenient to the local gas station, grocery, and coffee shop. They were all within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

    We spent two weeks at this condo and everything was wonderful. The owner was more than helpful answering all of our questions and easing any concerns we had about the property and about visiting the big island of Hawaii. The website pictures of the condo are not able to capture how nicely furnished and comfortable the condo is and how much thought has been put into additional comforts. We were totally comfortable and felt right at home and had everything that we needed for our stay. We would definitely love to enjoy another stay in this condo and encourage others to stay as well.

    We were a first time user of VRBO and initially nervous that the property would be as nice as described. It was even better. It included everthing listed and more. It was clean, nicely decorated and a short walk to the pool, hot tub and barbecue. I really appreciated having the Wi-Fi to keep up with E-mails etc . We enjoyed having our meals on the Lanai with a beautiful view over looking the Golf Course .It is a quiet and restful location. It is just a short drive to some of the worlds most pristine beaches.This is a excellent location to branch out from to visit other parts of the island.(You do need a car). Don't miss driving to the Northern part of the island, a beatiful drive and the cliffs are amazing. If you are a Costco member check out booking your car thru them, the rate was superor to all the alternatives. There is a Costco in Kona (half hour drive) with the lowest gas prices we found. Communications from the owner prior to arriving gave us all the information for a smooth arrival and enjoyable stay. Hope to return soon!

    Good points: unit was very clean upon arrival, bed was very comfortable, the unit is very close to the pool and cabanna area for grilling, excellant grilling area. Not so good points: The lanai had a table and four chairs, but the chairs were fabricated in the recline position, at roughly a 45 degree angle, with no adjustment, so we had to bring chairs from the inside to sit outside at the table. The TV is old with a VCR slot and the cable programing is very basic. The bathrroom fan sounds like a jet engine when running. For the price the unit is fine, but I have stayed in other units at the same condo complex and alot more is offered for not alot more money!

    Owner response: I'm sorry this guest had trouble with the lanai chairs however they are not fabricated in the recline position with no adjustment. They do recline. Perhaps one was broken and would not retain an upright position. I always plead with guests to bring anything like this to my attention...anything at all that is not working properly...and I'll have it fixed immediately. I would have had brand new chairs delivered the same day had the guest sent a text, e-mail, or called my 800 number. The TV is not a new flat screen model but it works properly and there is a DVD player as well as VCR. While it is true that I don't offer expanded movie channels...there are 75 cable channels available including most of the popular ones. The bathroom fan is on a rheostat which means there are an infinite number of speeds. If you set it to the highest speed, it does move some air and it's certainly not as quiet as lower speeds...I apologize for that but it's pretty easy to turn it down a notch or two. I am easily reached if anyone has any problems or concerns and I wish this guest had contacted me with these issues so that I could have addressed them while he was there.

    My husband I have reserved this unit for a third time. It is well furnished and very clean. Our last stay ended in December. There were no issues with the furniture or fans. We are looking forward to our next visit. The owner is more than accomodating with early check-in or late check-out if the rental scheldule permits.

    Mahalo John for your place. We felt like home. Your place is very awesome! We did enjoyed the swimming pool and the views the most. The place is very clean and very comfortable. The location is very convenient! The place was very quiet! We did even saw a wild turkeys in the lawn.We would like to come and stay here again. Again, much mahalo!

    This place is immaculate, convenient and very Hawaiian feeling. We stayed a month in 2011 and were disappointed that it had already been rented when we decided to come back in 2012. There is nothing not to like about this property. The photos do not do justice to how wonderful this place is. I would recommend to anyone!

    My husband and I stayed in this condo for 4 nights last week. I liked the decoration. The room are cozy. The surrounding enviroment is excellent, too. We spotted lots of birds on the meadow, including a couple of Nene. It was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

    John's place is beautifully furnished and conveniently located near to the shops, restaurants and (more importantly) the island's best beaches. Because of the location, you see nothing but ocean and skyline from the lanai and the stars at night are breathtaking. Being a resident of North Kohala for a number of years, I thought Waikoloa was a place for 'tourists' but I felt right at home here. Our experience renting from John was ideal and we will absolutely make this our vacation rental while on the Big Island. Mahalo Nui John!

    This is a wonderful place to stay. I went there with my husband, and we were so impressed with how clean the place was. And I really liked the decorations too... the owner definitely did not cut any corners with the furnishings. I'd recommend this place to anyone searching fort a quiet, convenient spot with gorgeous views.
