Why the Owner Chose Hillcrest:
Living in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the city is the best of all worlds. The surrounding canyons provide an environment for interesting wild life. The city streets provide places to shop and dine.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The central location allows you to walk north, south, east and west and always discover another interesting neighborhood. The Cottage is a place to relax. Sit in the garden. Read. Watch the birds. Wander around the neighborhood. There are many Irving Gill homes that were built around 1900. Irving Gill is San Diego's premier architect. He was a mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright's son, John. Gill was interested in producing "...a labor saving house, one where the maximum of comfort may be had with the minimum of drudgery". (The Craftsman, May, 1916).
