We stayed at this beautifully decorated & well equipped penthouse condo for four weeks. The condo appears to be fairly new with great amenities. It's on the 8th floor overlooking hole #1of the Mountain course. We enjoyed watching both golfers & hickers from their spacious balcony. We used the movie room (high end audio/video equipment) as well. The location is great. It has two challenging but quite memorable golf courses designed by Jack Nicholas. The whole area is a great resort setting with very good restaurants within walking distance & just a short 25 minute drive to Victoria. Also found one of BC's first pubs just ten minutes away. Will recommend this condo to all our freinds & will definitely return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Peter. My wife and I are so pleased that you enjoyed yourselves at our condo during your holidays. We look forward to seeing you again. Best regards, Phil

This truly was the most beautiful place we have ever been lucky enough to stay out - the price was very reasonable for the quality of the Suite - very comfortable unit with lots of extras - even better than we were expecting. The most challenging thing for us will be to find something equally fantastic for our Vacation next year - I highly recommend staying here! You'll be glad you did.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

When we arrived at this luxurious condo, we thought we'd died and gone to heaven! Not only were the surroundings breathtakingly beautiful, but the attention to detail inside was stellar. Jolie and Phil have made this a lovely "home away from home" and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The furnishings are elegant yet child friendly and the kitchen is equipped with everything you will need if you choose to eat in. The local amenities are nearby and provide all the goods you will need to stock up, and then you can just sequester away! We had a girls weekend here and it was perfect. We utilized the nearby pool/spa, hiked the trails, and slept in the most comfortable beds. You probably know by now that I highly recommend this vacation home!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

We spent our 10 year wedding anniversary at Phil and Jolie's place last week, and boy were we glad we chose to spend our special weekend at their place. The condo was breathtaking - from the moment you walk through the door, you feel a sense of peace and warmth, with a friendly concierge/assistant and anniversary gift basket to greet us. Fantastic Service! The rooms were clean and beautifully furnished, kitchen and bathrooms were magnificent (better than a hotel). Parking garage was spacious (we have a big car) and conveniently located near the door and elevators. We brought along our 4 beautiful children and they enjoyed the in-room PlayStation, nearby playground, mini golf and ice cream / arcade parlor down the hill. We took in the beautiful scenery, people watching on the balcony (golfers and hikers trying to climb Bear Mountain), the local shops, restaurants, and just a short ride away, we went to bustling downtown Victoria - it was sunny and the cruise ships were in town - the place was packed with smiling tourists. It was great! Overall, a relaxing, exciting, and memorable anniversary weekend. Highly recommend to stay here and we hope to stay here again soon. Thanks Phil and Jolie for your hospitality. Cheers!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

This brand new 8th floor condo is very luxuriously furnished and offers itself as a beautiful home away from home in style. The building itself is new and very quiet, and the condos big balcony has sunset views on to the golf course and wilderness one would not expect 15 min. from downtown Victoria. Owners have thought of everything, this is as good as it gets - spacious, clean, new and beautifully finished. Perfectly suited for 2 couples or a family with kids. Two golf courses and restaurants & bars within walking distance, scenic hiking trails from the door step, easy commute to downtown Victoria (car recommended) We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend and are already thinking of coming back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you

Fabulous condo! Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The owners have spared no expense when it comes to comfort. In addition to being the most hospitable couple I have met, they were also very helpful in providing suggestions of things to do and directions around Victoria. The complex is also spectacular: beautiful setting and excellent amenities. I most definitely recommend this condo as a retreat from life's stresses and would go there again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Phil and Jolie live in Comox, 3 hours north of Victoria, with their son and daughter. The family enjoys numerous outdoor activities including golf, sailing, biking, hiking, rollerblading and skiing. When time permits they also like to travel abroad.
Why the Owner Chose Victoria:
We chose to buy at Bear Mountain for the proximity to Victoria and all its offerings, while also enjoying the majestic natural splendor of being on a mountain top with an ambience similar to Whistler.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
When we stay at the condo we enjoy the many outdoor activities including the pool at the Mountainside Athletic Club, but we also like sight-seeing in Victoria strolling around the harbour, shopping and eating at the many wonderful restaurants. The Butchart botanical gardens are a must for us every summer and every Christmas season.
