The cabin, located at West Crooked Lake Resort in Nevis, MN, is a very clean and well maintained "housekeeping" style cabin. It is a two bedroom cabin with a sleeper sofa in the living area and a large bathroom with tub/shower. The very large main bedroom contains a queen bed and the second bedroom contains a full bed. The living area contains a very comfortable futon that can sleep 2 so the cabin can sleep up to 6 people. The living area and the main bedroom have sliding glass patio doors with access to an extra large deck where you can relax and enjoy a wonderful view. This cabin was totally remodeled in 2003 with a knotty pine interior, new flooring and all new furnishings. The cabin has a beautiful view of West Crooked Lake.
Cabin is equipped with a picnic table, gas grill and lawn chairs in addition to dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots & pans and serving bowls. There is a microwave, stove, refrigerator, automatic coffee maker, and toaster. All beds (including sofa beds) are provided with linens, blankets, bedspread and pillows. We also provide kitchen linens and bath towels. We do not supply paper products such as paper plates and napkins but do supply items such as foil, plastic wrap and plastic bags.
Our Park Rapids family cabin, in the Paul Bunyan State Forest, is surrounded by towering pines with an unobstructed view of West Crooked Lake from the cabin. West Crooked Lake is located in the heart of the beautiful Nevis lakes area of northern Minnesota approximately 7 miles from Nevis, 15 miles from Park Rapids in the Paul Bunyan State Forest.
You can enjoy sun bathing on the sandy beach, swimming in the clear water, playing on the Rave Water Park, or reading a book in the shade. For the fisherman, West Crooked Lake hosts a large variety of fish including Walleye, Northern, Bass, Perch, Crappie and Sunfish.
The area offers many interesting and fun attractions, such as Itasca State Park where the Mississippi Headwaters is located, a local Winery, the Heartland Trail (a paved trail, excellent for biking, walking, or rollerblading through the beautiful countryside), Northern Lights Casino, and many shopping and dining choices.

I grew up in North Dakota but always spent my summer vacations in the wonderful lake country of Minnesota. The lakes are so clean and the area is so beautiful. West Crooked Lake Resort is a wonderful place to come and unwind from the stress of daily life. When I stay at the cabin, I tend to forget about everything else that is going on in the world and just enjoy the quiet and solitude.
Why the Owner Chose Nevis
Vacationing in this area since I was very young, I grew to really love it. There is nothing quite like sitting on the deck on a beautiful Minnesota evening, enjoying the beautiful lake view and listening to the loons calling. This cabin is located on a very quiet and secluded lake. It is a wonderful spot to spend your vacation relaxing and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Our cabin was CLEAN, UP to DATE and WELL STOCKED! The beach was perfect for our Kids (4, 6 and 7). Lots of toys. Nice play area with swingset. The lodge had lots of movies and kids/ family activities to check out. Awesome water trampoline and paddle boat. We had a blast renting a speed boat and tubes for a day. GREAT management! Serene location.... we did not want to leave! We met several other wonderful families. I would HIGHLY recommend this resort to anyone looking for a quiet escape and some RELAXATION! We ARE coming back next year!!!

We stay at this cabin several times over the summer and do a lot of fishing, swimming, and relaxing. The managers are doing a good job and keep the cabins really clean. We love it here!

We had a wonderful time! Not sure we could ask for much more. The cabin is so cozy! Our kids loved it. The lake was also great. A lot of Sun Fish. Kids caught 150 in 2 hours. This place is truly paradise. This was our first year and we rebooked for next year.

So many extra touches that I've never seen at any other resort, such as the gift basket and clean towels in the middle of the week. All the great toys and chairs for the children. I most especially loved being serenaded by the loons, my favorite bird.
