  My husband and I have come to stay at Donner Lake the last 3 years. The first year we stayed at an 'okay' location, but then the next year we found this place. The owners are amazing, and very professional and friendly. Our back door led right to the lake, with the condominiums own private beach. I was very impressed with how clean and organized everything was, and can't wait to return again. Don't miss out on this great place!

  We visited this condo for my father's 70th birthday and the place is perfectly located on the lake (I think it's as close as you can get to the water). We loved the long L-Shaped pier and the kids loved fishing and catching crawdads. Our kids are 10 so they were fine with the spiral staircase. The condo is comfortable and clean and has a fantastic view! We also enjoyed the small deck with a swinging chair in the morning while enjoying our coffee. The kitchen was well-equipped although we never found the toaster but it had everything else we needed. Great time in a great place!!!

  Let me start by saying that Melanie and Mark are so great to work with. They were responsive, flexible, and a couple the nicest people! They're extremely knowledgable about the area, attractions, and things to do. They even let us borrow their hiking map since we made a day excursion into the mountains (which I highly recommend!). The location of the condo is absolutely perfect. You get sun nearly all day, are perfectly located to see the sunrise and sunset, and are literally on the water (with a great dock). I think my favorite part of the trip was sitting on the swinging chair on the balcony and enjoying the spectacular view with a glass of wine. The condo is very clean, well kept, and comfortable. I loved how the sleeping quarters are separated from the living room, dining room and kitchen. This way the television can be watched without disturbing someone who heads to bed early. Should you have the chance to visit Donner Lake, I highly recommend staying at Melanie and Mark's. It's guaranteed to be a great time no matter the season!

  We stayed at this condo both last Easter and Christmas. We loved it! It is right on the lake at Donner Lake. There is a large and lovely deck and we watched the birds fly along the lake, sunset behind the mountains and a million stars. Many condos are across the street at Donner, but this condo sits right smack on the water without the road noise experienced at other condos. We loved the warm and atmospheric fireplace. The bedrooms are downstairs. The master bedroom is very spacious wtih a comfortable king bed and a nice bathroom en suite . Second bedroom is perfect for kids with a queen and a double bunk bed. Both bedrooms have views of the lake. It bet it is a ball in the summer, as there is a boat/swim dock on property. But it is truly beautiful in any weather.The owners are super nice and accomodating. We will look forward to our next stay! Susie

  Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo with the breathtaking views of Donner Lake. The condo was very well furnished, comfortable and well appointed with all the amenities necessary for a getaway to the Lake! We have rented many times at Donner, but have never had a more pleasant experience. Melanie and Mark - you were very friendly and a pleasure to work with and we look forward to our next stay with you.

  What a fabulous condo! Our family aged 6 to 80 had a fantastic time! We have rented many vacation homes and this one was among the best, especially because it was clean, cozy, well appointed, and the kitchen was well stocked with those little necessities you forget to pack (like spices and condiments)! And it smelled great too (often a problem in rentals)! The dock was perfect for the kids to jump off of into the lake (over and over again) and it provided a protective cove for them to swim. We especially loved the great view from the top floor and the easy access right out the downstairs doors. Definitey a family friendly environment, with lots of other kids to play with too. Melanie was a treat to work with and was accessible and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend and we will definitley be back! Thank you!

  Just enjoyed a WONDERFUL July 4th holiday on Donner Lake! This lakefront beauty met all of our expectations. The owners, Mel and Mark were helpful, friendly and obviously in love with the Donner Lake community. It was a pleasure to be able to share the beauty and good vib with my family, we hope to do it again soon!!

  Our family of three enjoyed our stay at this lake front condo. The location was perfect, just a quick 10 minute drive to Sugar Bowl and downtown Truckee! We loved the beautiful views of the morning mist covering the icy lake and the snow covered mountains in the distance. The condo was a quiet and cozy retreat after a long day of skiing. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable and the unit was clean and tidy. We’ve already booked another stay!

  This is up there with one of our best vacations. The description of the location was more than accurate. The views, priceless! The pictures are what you get and more. Really appreciated coming into a clean and well maintained property. I certainly recommend this place to my friends and family. My 18 and 19 year old son and daughter loved the place. There was soooooo much to do and yet there was always time and the willingness to just step out onto the private dock and be one with nature. Would really consider returning!

• Ideal lake location

  This apartment on the lake is a fabulous vacation spot. Our family of 5 was able to find fun for all ages; climbing on the rocks, swimming and even a little boat time. The apt is spacious and quiet. This location is ideal for families. Back and forth to make lunch, catch the World Cup or just read while watching kids is very convenient. We enjoyed our 4 nights at this location. Kids ages: 4, 10, 13. (The stairs in the apt are not ideal for toddlers.)
