There are enough words to describe Villa Panoramica. It was one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed in. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and was everything if not more than the description in the VRBO listing. The view from the terrace was very stunning. Sylvania and her husband were wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend to anyone who plans on visiting Lake Como.

My husband and I stayed hear for 4 nights in late September 2011. It wa all and more tha we expected. The house is beautiful and the views are priceless and stamped in my memory. The resturants in town are great...rissotto with chestnuts, spaghetti ilario and Silvios in Bellaggio- fantastic. Silvana is a wonderful person, firndly warm and full of ideas, She added to our experience. We took day trips to nearby small towns and other Lakes. We loved it here and would reccommend it without reservation. I wish I was on the terrace right now Thank you, Silvana

We spent 5 nights here this past July (2011) and it is everything we thought it would be. The house is wonderful, the views are unbelievable and the relaxation we had was well-needed. I can't wait to go back. Silvana is a great host and she really helped us, especially with a very rainy check in day. But the weather cleared up for the rest of the trip. If you go, we highly recommend the lunch cruise around the lake. It leaves around 1 pm and you take it from Argegno. It was a feast for only 15.50 euros. In summary, we all LOVED Villa Panoramica!

Villa Panoramica was one of the best holidays we have ever had! The photos don't do justice to the view from the wide patio where you can sit all day and evening just taking in the Lake and its activity. Silvana has thought of many home comforts to make your stay easier such as UK cable TV for the kids and a laptop and WiFi for the teenagers and adults. The walk from the village is steep but a fabulous little work-out each day. My 80 year old mother managed to do it twice each day for a week so it is very achievable. Argegno is a little gem of a town and the people were all so friendly and happy to engage in conversation or help you out. Picturesque but not too touristy. Look out for the local produce market on Mondays and get your fruit, cheese ( ohmiword - the cheese!), meat and veggies for the week. Make sure you take in Zoe's Gelateria in the village for amazing ice-cream especially the Licorice. One of the real treats was, in our opinion, Italy's best coffee at Hotel Argegno opp the ferry station right on the waterfront. Their meals and pizzas are fabulous too but Daniella and the team make hot, creamy coffees to die for! A great family apartment, neat and clean with modern bathrooms and plumbing. Loads of room to entertain and eat all meals outside. The a/c was also very convenient for some of the extreme weather we encountered this July and very few rentals places offer that. Silvana was very helpful and welcoming and ready to give you a hand with whatever you need. Such a sweetheart! Her husband, Luigi runs a car service which we used from Milan with lovely vehicles and very safe driving to transport the family. Thanks guys - we'll be back very soon!

Our family of 4 from the US SF bay area stayed here for a week in July 2010. All that is said about the views, tranquility and Silvana's hospitality are true. Plenty of room for my wife and me as well as two teenagers. Argegno is a lovely town - with good restaurants and even a small beach. Boat service in town to travel the lake; short drive to Como to catch a train to Milan and points beyond; and don't miss the Locanda dell'Isola Comacina Restaurant (minutes away by car) if you are there in the late spring and summer, an experience you will never forget. But best of all in the midst of a real heatwave or on a starry night just relaxing on the deck with beautiful views - all you can ask for!

Villa Panoramica is aptly named. The view of Lake Como from the private terrace is breathtaking. Our stay of five days in September, 2009, was not long enough. The modern apartment is lovely, with new appliances, computer access, and spacious rooms. Easy walk to the village below with restaurants, shops, and a ferry terminal. Drive or take the ferry to all Lake Como villages. We can't wait to return. Thank you Silvana.

Our family of three stayed at Villa Panoramica for just 3 nights in April during our 2 week Italian vacation. We wish we had spent a week there! What a view! At dawn, at dust, any time! The two bedrooms were great for our teenage son who loves some space of his own. Silvana is a great hostess who thinks of virtually everything! I suggest to those coming to stay, before going out to the grocery, check first what Silvana has put in the cupboard for you. I was surprised to find a loft of bread & a pack of rice! Como was our first stop. Lake Como is divine, a great entrance to Italy for us! We drove along the beautiful lake and across the ferry to Bellagio & Veranna. Visiting Villa Balbianello's beautiful grounds is a must! We carried Silvana's restaurant recommendations along while we drove around, and they were all great. Just wanna add Helvetia lake-front restaurant in Tremezzo as well. We had discovered it quite by luck (and hunger!), after learning last minute that most are closed on Mondays! Thanks for everything, Silvana! You can expect more people coming from Thailand!

This beautiful home was our base for 4 nights over Easter Weekend 2009. The apartment is stunning. It is bright and airy with beautiful high vaulted ceilings and we spent every waking minute admiring the sweeping 200 degree views of Lago Di Como. The house comes with a desk-top with hi-speed internet and a flat screen Sony with British satellite TV. It is an easy and gorgeous 5 minute walk down to the village center of Argegno. Argegno is beautiful, friendly and convenient. You have everything you need here: La Piazzeta for amazing food, Zoe's for excellent gelato (both face the fountain in the quaint waterfront piazza and have really friendly owners and staff), a drugstore and the Argegno ferry landing, where you can catch boats to every village on Lake Como. Silvana, who owns and manages the property, is wonderful. She is honest and friendly and speaks native English (she was born in Britain). She has stocked the house with lots of local guidebooks and literature. Her rental policies are a welcome relief from the nonsense you get from many European properties; you pay her the agreed rate and that includes everything. There is absolutely no nickel and dime nonsense. Mind you, this is in a market where some owners take a meter reading and charge you for utilities!! We ate at George Clooney's favorite restaurant (Il Gatto Nero in Cernobbio) and visited Bellagio and Tremezzo. There were great, but our favorite moments of this visit were spent sitting on the balcony of this perfect Villa...

We stayed two weeks in Villa Panormica. It was more than advertised. Spectacular view of Lago di Como. Owners have thought of everything to make one's stay comfortable. Rent a small car and parking is no problem. Owners very helpful and a wealth of information about the area. Ferry rides are beautiful and convenient to all Lake locations. No reservations in recommending this property.

Villa Panoramica was the perfect place for our vacation! With 4 adults and 1 baby, the separate bedrooms were great, and it was nice to not have to worry about finding a crib or highchair. The villa was very clean and had pretty much any ammenity you could ask for! The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, silverware, utensils, and more! It was also extremely convinent to have a washer/ dryer and close access to the town of Como and nearby grocery stores. I'd highly recommend a stay at Villa Panoramica!

We love this place! Everything was new, clean and well organized. Kitchen is good enough for preparation of gourmet meals. Views are spectacular, from morning mist to moonglow on the lake at night. Bring a short car, as parking space is a bit tight. Argegno is a quaint spot with great access to bus, motor launch and local sites. However, what it lacks in shopping is easily overcome in nearby villages. Drink the local wines, eat the lake perch, explore the villages, get lost and never regret it... You can use this place as a private getaway to spend quiet days, a base to launch day trips throughout Northern Italy, or have a small family reunion. Ciao, Mark and Barbara

This apartment is everything advertised and more! It is brand new and sparkling clean. The location is fabulous on the lake - in a small, authentic village, not a tourist town, yet minutes from all the great tourist spots. The ferry landing is right below you and within minutes you can be anywhere on the lake you want to go. Silvana is helpful and charming, and as she is English/Italian,it is really helpful to have her to talk to to explain things if you do not speak Italian:-) There is also a book in the apartment that contains a wealth of information. It was so much better to have our own spacious apartment to spread out in versus a small, cramped hotel room!
