Perfect Summer Home away from Manhattan
Perfect Summer Home away from Manhattan
My family rented this beautiful home for the month of July and loved every minute of it. The quality of the house is spectacular with furnishings that are gorgeous yet comfortable and a patio/gazebo/pool area that would rival any resort. It is a perfect place to relax and gather with friends and family as there is plenty of bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen and plenty of dining areas to choose from. The location is prime for cycling and running enthusiasts as well. My husband and I biked for miles through the pictorial countryside without seeing a single car. The home is a quick drive from the cute town of Rhinebeck which has cute shops and GREAT restaurants. The owners of the home were easily reached for the slightest concern and any problem was remedied quickly. We enjoyed our stay there last summer so much that we have rented it again this summer.

Manager response: Thank you so much for your kind review. It was fun to see you and your family enjoying our home , the pool and hot tub, etc. I know you put in many miles on your bikes crusing through the countryside. You and your family were great tenants and we look forward to having you again this summer.

This property is outstanding. We were able to enjoy it for three and a half weeks last August and found that it was perfect. If anything, the photos don't do it justice. The home had everything we needed and more. The Duvals are a lovely couple and we look forward to renting from them again.

About: My husband I both lived and worked in Manhattan for many years. We wanted a place in the country to escape to on weekends. We chose the Hudson Valley because of its close proximity to New York City and because we wanted country living yet wanted a connection to an interesting small town such as Rhinebeck. This is where Chelsea Clinton chose to be married this summer. We love the outdoors and wanted to be able to ski in the winter, bike and hike in the fall, horseback ride, swim, sail and play lots of tennis in the summer and for all these reasons we selected this area. We have privacy and complete country living only 1 1/2 hours from downtown Manhattan. Our location we feel is ideal, we are in the country w amazing views and only 6 miles to downtown Red Hook, and 8 miles to Rhinebeck. We can go into town to enjoy a gourmet meal at several wonderful restaurants in the area, take in a foreign film, go antiquing, explore some of the local shops that are simply delightful... not filled w trinkets and junk that you often find in some locations. Our towns are filled with locals and people who live and care about their communities. The Rhinebeck Tennis club is just a few miles down the road and you will find us there most days for a couple of hours. Life is magical here, our grandchildren are nearby and life is quite complete.
