Completely remodeled in 1999 without compromising the unique cottage charm, Casita La Concha is situated on the sand of Montecito's fabled Miramar Beach. The upper sun decks provide breathtaking vistas of the Pacific coastline and passing dolphins. On a clear day the Channel Islands are visible. The exits downstairs lead guests right out onto the sand of one of the best beaches in the area. Montecito's Upper and Lower Villages with their variety of charming restaurants and shops are only a short bike ride away. Miramar Beach's cottages offer the only "beach immediate" lodgings in the Santa Barbara/Montecito area.
The 1502 Miramar Beach house is truly delightful treats for the spirit, mind, and body. The ocean facing walls have been torn down and replaced with sliding glass doors and windows so that natural sunlight and magnificent views are abundant. Skylights and glass blocks are used throughout the houses to provide even more natural light and create an open feeling in some of the smaller spaces. The bedrooms open onto the lower sun decks where one can sip coffee while watching the dolphins and filling their lungs with the rejuvenating ocean air. Also enjoy the luxury of jacuzzi bathtubs for that late evening soak, Inside, or Outside!
The decor is such that one can imagine themselves out to sea on a luxury ship. From any seat in the house all one sees is the Pacific Ocean. The beautiful hardwood floors add to the ship effect while exotic decorator rugs add warmth and comfort. Functional portholes are built into the walls
Other conveniences at the Miramar house include: Surround-sound TV and stereo system, CD player,DVD/VCR,High Speed Internet, dishwasher, washer/dryer, purified water dispenser, ice-maker, microwave, garbage disposal, gas stove top, electric oven, and gas log fireplace. Fax machine available upon request. All linens are provided, the kitchen is fully stocked, and we even have beach towels and chairs available and ready for you to use.
