Beautiful Penthouse located on the third level of Building 'J'. You won't find any closer to the beach or with a better view. The beach is literally at your feet. Very tranquil setting with usually calm seas: the water is turquoise and warm and the beach sandy soft and suitable for walking.
The apartment features 3 bedrooms with A/C, 2 baths, 2 balconies (one overlooking North towards the beach, the other South towards El Yunque Rainforest), rooftop terrace with covered area, fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining room. Two uncovered parking spaces near the building entrance.
Villas del Mar has 2 pool areas (one right outside the building), Clubhouse, Gym with Saunas, Basketball, Tennis and Beach Volleyball Courts, Children's playground areas. Located about 25 minutes from SJU Airport and the San Juan metro area shopping and nightlife. Many attractions nearby like El Yunque Rainforest, Fajardo Bioluminiscent Bay, Golf courses, kayaking and much more. For convenience a Wal-Mart Supercenter is located about 10 minutes away

I would recommend this condo to anyone. Jaime was my contact, he was professional, responded quickly to all communications, was friendly... he was simply top notch. My high school buddies ('81) and I took a 4 days guys weekend and had a blast! Being a bit to the east allowed us to reach both the national rain forest and deep sea fishing in Fajardo and Old San Juan at night. The condo was clean and well kept. We used Walmart for groceries and Jaime made sure I had a gas grill which made eating quick, cheap and easy. The best part of the trip was going downstairs and swimming... calm waters were good far relaxing swim... big waves povided body surfing and was fantastic! The view was spectacular, beach and water wonderful... the ocean breeze through the penthouse was comfortable and great for sleeping... I want this exact condo next time... Jaime too. Mike DRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had an amazing time! Making the reservation with Jaime was easy and straight forward. When our flight was canceled due to a winter storm, Jaime was very accommodating and allowed us to stay a day later. He met us at the car rental, gave us directions and the keys. It was an easy 20 minute drive. The condominium was nice, not amazing but all we needed was there (though a couple more blankets would be nice). It was very clean and the view of the beach was beautiful! There is also a huge rooftop area that was a wonderful place to sit and stargaze! A funny side note: the walls are very sound proof. This was nice because we have two small kids and didn't have to worry about waking them when we were hanging out and talking at night. The condo is Right on the beach...the best condo on the complex for sure. The complex was strangely vacant, except on the weekends. This meant it was quiet and we were almost always the only ones at the pool or on the beach. On the weekend a few other family's with kids came. The main complaint we had was that you always need a key to go out on the beach or into the pool area. With six adults we were always having to arrange who would be where with the key so that no one got locked out on the beach or in the pool area. The beach also is closed from 10 pm until 8am so no sunrise runs on the beach! Also, the Internet did not always work. It was kind of nice to be without it though ;) We had a wonderful time. For the price, I seriously doubt you could do much better!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Our family being the owner we all have copies of the keys to the Pools/Beach areas, but it hadn't dawned on me that putting one key to those area on the renters' set is not enough, so I'll put in more copies in for the next renters. There was excellent communication from Jaime, the owner and his business partner, Eric. Eric met us at our airport hotel to lead us to the apartment and he was available to answer any questions during our stay. This property was very well maintained. We (2 families with grandparents for total of 9) were here for a week and the complex had everything we needed and more. We walked the beach every morning before breakfast and the view of the ocean from our balcony was splendid. Everyone enjoyed the pools. We cooked our own meals in the well equipped kitchen and the apartment was tastefully decorated. Nearby attractions that we used included zip lining, El Yunque National Park, Luquillo beaches, and Fajardo ferry to Vieques. Great place for families. Complex was quiet with less than a quarter of the units occupied and a car is essential.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
