    This house was fantastic for our family get-together. We were a total of 10 ranging in age from 8 mos. to 84 years and suited everyone perfectly! Comfortable, spacious and with a beautiful backyard! The house was spotless upon arrival. The kitchen is quite large and well equipped, each bedroom has views of swaying palms! All the baby items that were available made life so easy! Excellent location, close to restaurants, shopping, and walk to the beach, all in a quiet neighborhood. What was not to love? We came from California, North Carolina and Ecuador and we all said we would love to return. The owners are very attentive, always available. I know IF we had had a problem or questions they would have responded immediately. We highly recommend this home!

    This was our first time renting a home and I am happy to report that it was a wonderful experience. The owners, Craig and Camilla, were responsive and straightforward about the the listing. They took great pride in making sure that our stay was comfortable, convenient and calm. The home is very clean, spacious and private. The bedrooms were well appointed and we all slept like babies. It was also great that we were able to bring our dog with us. The location is fantastic, my husband and I walked over to the Parrot Lounge to have a drink and play shuffleboard. We all celebrated Thanksgiving poolside by eating fried turkey courtesy of Lu Lu's Bait Shack - YUM! The pool is surrounded by lush tropical palms, was nicely heated and we used it day and night. When we did decide to cook the kitchen was loaded with everything you would need to prepare a meal. The attention to those type of details makes for a restful and relaxing stay, since we did not have to worry or think about those type of things we were immediately free to enjoy the beach and our surroundings. When we wanted to grill there was plenty of charcoal and lighter fluid provided, get your steaks from Smitty's Old Fashioned Butcher Shop it is pricey but so worth it. We also walked to the Galleria Mall, did some shopping and had lunch at PF Chang's. Publix is also in the area they carry Boar's Head cold cuts and a full array of pastry items, Mom loved the Bear Claws, as you can tell we love to eat. Mom and I also took a short ride over to Hallandale to shop at Gulfstream Park. Another perk was we were able to do our laundry before we left so no dirty clothes to worry about when we arrived home. This was truly a home away from home! We would highly recommend renting from Craig and Camilla and we cannot wait to make our way back.

    This was my first foray into the world of vacation home rental. My daughter was getting married and I needed a home for incoming relatives. What finally made me go ahead were the positive reviews that everyone gave the owners. Now I, too, can echo their sentiments! They will call you back right away, answer all your questions and the house will be delivered to you in top condition. Craig took so much time, to orient me to the house and answer any and all questions. Now, to the house, itself. It is so spacious with room enough for everyone to gather and room enough when you need that private space! The kitchen has all you need, the accomodations are truly comfortable and the heated pool and yard are a delight.The beach is just steps away, so you need not worry about entertainment, not to mention all the shops and restaurants to choose from. If you, like I was, are concerned about whether or not to take that step, don't be! You can trust this couple and this rental property. Enjoy!

    We where looking for a big affordable house close to the beach for 2 families. This house had everything we wished for and much more. It is located close to the beach and all you need for a day by the sea are provided. Due to waves we prefered to stay in the garden that had a nice pool and play area. A lot of toys for the children was available in the house. There is a great kitchen and dining area that inspired us for home dining most of the time. We had a great time in the house and garden. I can easily recommend this property for a great vacation on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale.

    We had a really great and relaxing time in Florida. So first of all many thanks to Craig and Camilla for leaving up their place to our party of 8! We made the decision to stay at this place ecpecially out of 1 reason. And the reason was the proximity to the beach. The walk doesn´t take 3 minutes in order to relax in the warm sand or to cool off in the sea. Of course we also had the oportunity to use the pool that was in the backyard. The house was very clean and well prepared for our arrival. Craig met us himself upon our arrival and we were able to move in even ahead of the scheduled time and to stay longer upon departure without paying an extra fee! We had 2 cars that we coud leave comfortably in front of the house. So everything was easy to reach by car since all of the shops and restaurants are closeby. The house was big enough for 8 people. So all of the couples had their own retreat but also nice spots for gathering and spending time together. I would definitely recommend this house to people who look for a nice place to relax in close proximity to the beach and who like to feel at home during their vacation.

    Our family (4 adults and a 15-year-old boy) spent July 4th at the house. We all had the best time! The house is a good size with lots of closet space. Each bedroom has a TV and there is a large, flat-screen TV and dvd in the living room. There are also several board games and video games and the wifi throughout the house works very well. The master bed room is very private. It consists of two large rooms. The first is an office as well as an exercise room. Then you open another set of doors to the bedroom. It is big with a beautiful bathroom. There is also a bedroom on the first floor that is perfect for people with bad knees like my sister-in-law. The kitchen has most everything you would need. We used the charcoal grill several times and it was nice to eat on the patio. The pool is fabulous. It has a shallow end for kids but a fairly deep end (over our heads) for adults. We spent a great deal of time in there and often couldn't resist jumping in when we returned from the beach. There are several pool and beach toys in the garage. The location of this house is perfect. The beach is about 4 houses down from A1A ( Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd/Atlantic Blvd) which you cross to get to the beach. We loved the fact that we didn't have to walk for miles to get to the water. There are palm trees on the beach that block some of the sun but you should definitely bring the beach umbrella in the garage. There is quite a bit of shopping available in the area. A1A is intersected by several main streets including Sunrise Blvd, Oakland Park Blvd and Las Olas Blvd. If you drive over the Sunrise Blvd bridge, there is a Publix supermarket across from The Galleria Mall (Macys and Dillards). If you go a little further on any of these boulevards you will reach Federal Highway (more shopping and dining). There are many nice places to eat (We are real foodies) in Ft. Lauderdale. Here are some of our favorites: Italian: Sette Bello, D'Angelo Pizza and Wine Bar, Casa D'Angelo-Federal Highway. Tuscan Grill-Las Olas Blvd. American/Mediterranean: Casablanca Cafe on A1A near Las Olas Steak: Steak 954 in The W hotel, Shula's in the Westin Hotel Regular pizza and food (e.g. chicken parm): Doughboy's- They deliver to the house. So to sum up, This house is a great place to have a wonderful vacation. Craig and Camilla are great hosts and were always available whenever we needed them. We will definitely be returning.

    We just left our week long stay at this wonderful, vacation home and are envious of the folks coming next! This home is "children friendly". With the fence around the pool, there was never any worry of my 4 year old granddaughter being in the backyard, which is a lush haven in itself. She had a swing set, pool and beach toys and a room full of toys to play with. Each bedroom is very spacious and all windows have a view - upstairs bedrooms with outside areas was a plus. The family spent lots of time in the spacious Florida room which is exceptional. With 8 adults and 2 children we never felt cramped. The house is 3 houses from the beach - what a dream vacation. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to relax and still have all the comforts of home. Can't wait to return!!!

    We rented the house from May 20 to June 3 and this was our first time we rented a house over the internet. We were very happy and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Craig showed us the house and all that we needed to know upon our arrival. He was very helpful in pointing the place where we could have diner or groceries. Unfortunately his wife was away and we did not get a chance to meet her, maybe next time because we are already planning to go back next year. The house was spotless when we arrived and the kitchen was so well equipped it was like being home. The large dining table, the barbecue and the pool everything is available and with the beach nearby we spent the most wonderful vacation at Craig’s place. The rooms are large and beds have very good quality mattresses, the master bedroom is amazing, the size and the adjoining 4 piece bath make feel right at home. The pool is right outside the sitting room and landscaping is amazing. The pool size is just perfect and heated. There is all king of toys which our grandson enjoyed especially the beach toys. Definitely a 5 stars home, after our first week we thought about extending our stay another week but we checked on the internet and it was already rented. I highly recommend this house for a family vacation.

    Craig, thank you so much for letting us rent your wonderful home, we had a terrific vacation, made all the better by staying at your beautiful, comfortable, delightful home. We were a party of 7, with 1 teenager. The home is spacious and well maintained. The rooms are large, the master bedroom is amazing. All the bathrooms are perfect, clean and state of the art. The pool is right outside the sitting room and is the perfect size and heated. We loved our time here. It was peaceful, relaxing, yet close enough to nightlife and fun too. The owners were great. The local area is really nice and a very short walk to the sea (only few steps). You will not be disappointed by this house, it truly is 5 star.

    The house was so much more than we hoped for. The rooms were large and confortable but most of all clean. Had we known that the house was so accommodating we would have planned and stayed longer. We were given a thorough walk thru and told how to use the wireless connection available, the tvs, dvrs which were in each of the 4 bedrooms as well as the large tv in the lviing room. Our kids never left the pool except to go to the beach, which was a very short walk across the street. We were very pleased with the safety fencing around the pool for our 2 and 5 year olds, it took the worry of a pool away. The kitchen was fully equiped and set up for easy use. We had three large dinners, one a BBQ. We loved the large dining table which sat over 10 people. It was like being at home. We played the games in the house and the kds enjoyed the toys and swing set outside. We could not have asked for more. Grocery stores, restruants anything you need, is within a mile or two of the house- waliking distance if you don't have a car, or easy and cheap taxi ride. The owner and his wife were very helpful and available for our needs, which were all taken care of before our arrial. If you need a 4 bedroom or less rental, this is the one. The house is wonderful, the yard is a tropical paradise and the pool and beach fantastic.

    We have rented other homes in Florida but have voted this house the best!! The house had everything we needed for the beach, toys, stroller, highchair,pack and play,and a swing set which made it a great vacation spot for our grandchildren.It also included alot of household supplies. The pool and beach were great but traffic and parking not so great but we were also there at Spring Break. Craig and Camilla have thought of everything to make their home comfortable. Highly recommend this home for anyone travelling with children.

    We just came back from our trip to fort lauderdale and could not be happier with this house rental. We were 6 adults and 3 young children. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was warm, welcoming and clean. The kids loved playing in the pool and we were just a short walk to the beach. There were so many toys for the kids to play with it was great. Craig and camilla were a delight to deal with from beginning to end. We hope to rent this house again in the future.

    The place was so nice near the beach and so close to the fort Lauderdale night life. It was a great place to stay!!! The place was quiet at night when you wanted peace but only a short walk to great restaurants when you wanted them. The home owner could not have been nicer making the place all the more homey. The house has everything you would need for a pleasant stay especially for our 20 month old Granddaughter who just loved the beach and the pool. So did everyone for that matter. It was a full time relaxed atmosphere we felt at home . We'll be back!!!!

    We could not have asked for a nicer or more comfortable home! The decor is delightful. The sun room is perfect for a relaxing day with a good book. The lush backyard and gorgeous pool feel like a private resort. We spent evenings by the pool, wearing shorts in February, and listened to the ocean waves. The very short walk to the beach, including crossing A1A, is quick and easy. Great restaurants are minutes away. The owners are the nicest people one could hope to meet. They supplied the home with every possible thing we could want, provided directions to stores and restaurants and made themselves easily accessible for any questions we had. Craig even drove me to two locations we could run our dogs! After years of renting homes around the nation, we can assure the reader that Craig and Camilla are the best rental homeowners anywhere! We are especially grateful to them for allowing our two dogs to vacation with us. It is unusual to find such a wonderful home where dogs are allowed. This home delivers Everything it promises and More!

    This is a fabulous house!. The owner, Craig, met us when we arrived and showed us everything. The house is 3 houses from the beach and there are towels, chairs, beach toys.The pool is now heated and we enjoyed it every day. the 4 bedrooms are very nice, and the house offers lots of room. We had more family come for dinner and there is plenty of space and a large dining table. The house is clean and well maintained. It was unseasonably cold and Craig was most accomodating with blankets and heaters. Great house for children( we had everything we needed) and families. We all were very happy.I would definately recommend to friends!!

    This house was just perfect - we had three couples plus a toddler. The owners have little kids so I barely had to bring anything along. There was a pack and play, high chair, TONS of toys and books, beach toys, bath suppliers- everything you could think of! That was a huge sell for us. The pool has a great safety fence around it which was comforting. And I heard they are putting a heater in the pool which will be a huge improvement - it was too cold for us to get in! Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy the pool if we come back. You can't ask for a better location - literally 3 houses away from the beach. Walking distance to some restaurants/shops, but a decent walk. We had a car rental and definitely used it. The house was super clean when we arrived which was wonderful. And well-stocked with kitchen supplies. The house could definitely use a few electrical/plumbing improvements but nothing we couldn't deal with. The owner was very helpful from beginning to end and a pleasure to do business with. I would definitely recommend this place -we hope to go back. The bedrooms are spread out around the corners of the house, so couples still are able to have some privacy even if staying together in the property. And we could keep our toddler's nighttime noise away from the rest! :)

    This house was accurately represented, In fact it surpassed our expectations. extremely clean, well maintained and equipped to meet all our needs. I would definitely recommend to friends and family. The house is beautiful and located in a nice residential area although close to great restaurants and shops, some within walking distance.     We had a great stay and Craig and Camilla's house. My wife's three sisters and their husbands take one trip a year to an away Ohio State football game. We are so pleased we chose this house for this years trip. The house was really clean and their was plenty of space for all eight of us. It is a short walk to the beach and we all enjoyed the great pool. The house had all the amenities you need including an umbrella for the beach. It was wonderful and we recommend it to all.

    When we sent our first inquiry to rent your property we received a quick, detailed and reliable information. We were six friends looking for a house to share for seven days during our vacation, for us everything worked perfectly, a clean and neat house, with all the facilities indoor, the backyard with the pool, and few steps from the beach. We were very pleased with our choice because it was a great success thanks to Craig and Camille who took the time and effort to make our vacation unforgettable. I can not forget to mention something so important to us (Golden Girls) it was the honesty and security we received since we met this hosting family. Without a doubt we will recommend this property to our friends and relatives. Hope to come back for our next vacation.

    Just got back from renting this exquisite and comfortable home in Fort Lauderdale. The description of the property and the photos were exactly as displayed on the website. The property was well maintained and Craig was extremely hospitable and informative. I would recommend renting this property whether you are staying as couples or with a large family. It was close to the beach, shopping and restaurants, without all the hassle of dealing with large numbers of people from resorts since they were further south. Will highly recommend to my friends and will rent again when returning to Fort Lauderdale.

    We had an amazing stay at Craig and Camilla's Villa in Fort Lauderdale. We had some concerns as this was the first time we had rented using the internet, but thankfully Craig dealt with all our concerns and we made the right decision! The Villa location is brilliant, and all you need to be comfortable is provided thanks to Craig and Camilla. We certaily put the barbeque and pool to good use and found the whole vacation just so relaxing. As we had two disabled people in our party the level access and ground floor bedroom were really welcome. With such a wonderful location only a minutes walk to the beach and local transport easily available you don't even have to rent a car to explore the area. If you stay in the Villa don't forget to use the Water Taxi as a great way to get around the local attractions. We would thoroughly recommend a stay im this Villa.

    We were so lucky to have stayed at this home. It is so close to grocery shopping, tourist shopping, night-fun and the beach! The kids had a wonderful time, and the house is super kid-friendly! The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Everything you need is here! It is certainly on a quiet street with a well maintained backyard and pool. Craig and Camilla were great to work with and made it super easy to rent! We went to Seasons 52 for a kid free dinner. Amazing food! The beach across the street is clean and there is a lifeguard all day. Thanks guys for a wonderful time!!!

    We waren met de familie 6 volwassenen en 3 kleine kinderen een week in dit huis. Er waren 4,5 slaapkamers en 3 badkamers met alles erop en eraan. Het ontbrak ons aan niets, dichtbij de winkels en restaurants en nog geen 100 meters van het strand. Zouden we weer naar Florida gaan met ons hele gezin, dan wordt het weer dit fantastische huis.

    We had a great stay at this home - the house has everything you could want or need - even toys for the kids! The location is fantastic - you are literally right across from the beach where there's a lifeguard tower and shower. We also enjoyed jogging/rollerblading through the park each morning, which was just down the street. The street itself is very quiet but if you want action you can find it just a km away. The house was very clean but the owners do have animals so not good for those who are allergic. Speaking of the owners, Craig was extremely helpful. He gave us all the information we needed and helped us over the phone with questions during our stay. Pool area is lovely. Wifi worked super well. Would definitely recommend this home!

    We rented Craig's lovely home in Fort Lauderdale for a two-part vacation (9/17-23). First, my husband and a few of his buddies from high school stay in the house for a few days and enjoyed a "boys' weekend" at the beach. It was perfectly spacious for the four guys to each have their own room and space, as well as plenty of great communal space for meals and games, etc. After the boys went back to Indiana and Chicago, my son (two years old) and I flew to Fort Lauderdale to meet up with my husband. It was a super house to be in with a toddler because there was a baby safe fence around the pool, a portable crib, a swingset in the backyard and even TOYS -- anyone who has a toddler knows how exciting someone else's, never-before-seen toys can be. ;-) We had a great time at the nearby beach and even took little daytrips down to Hallandale Beach and Miami. If we find ourselves planning a vacation in Fort Lauderdale again, we would definitely rent this house again!!!

    We just returned from renting this vacation home. Craig was very nice to deal with and made the rental process easy. The home was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The location was great, with nearby shopping and dining. It is only a short walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property.

    Craig. We cant thank you enough for allowing us to rent your lovely house. It was perfect for our 18 month old grand daughter and my family. We so enjoyed the pool and the gorgeous back garden . Just a few steps and we were on the beach. This is the perfect house if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. Great beaches, restaurants and a caring owner. Hope to come back for another visit soon.

    We were two families sharing this house for 10 days, and for us it was just perfect. All facilities we wanted, and just a few steps from the beach. We really enjoyed the pool in the backyard, and the indoor facilities were perfect both for us and the teenagers. Fort Lauderdale itself is an interesting area, and the house has an easy access to the highway from where you can explore the nabourhood and the entire state. We received good services from the housting family, the house and backyard was clean and comfortable.

    Had a great week in this very clean and spacious home. This home is nicely situated between Las Olas and Lauderdale by the Sea, so shopping and restaurants are close by(about 2 miles either way).The Galleria shopping mall is about 1 mile away.The owners were there to greet us upon arrival, gave us a tour and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The beach is so close! We loved it as it was not very crowded, but still enough action to people watch or quiet enough to take an afternoon nap. Our daughter's loved sunning by the beautiful pool. The landscaping is gorgeous. We hated to leave!

    This house was just what we were looking for! It was far enough from the chaos of the resorts, but was still only a short distance from all the fun. It was also just a few houses down from the beach! Craig (the owner of the house) was so accommodating and hospitable to each of us as well. I would definitely rent this house again for another Fort Lauderdale trip!

    We spent a little over a week at the house and have only Great things to say about our stay. We would warmly recommend this property. The house is nice- great light, excellent amenities and easily sleeps 8. All the bedrooms are quite roomy. The open layout with the kitchen - dining - living area makes it easy to socialize with a large group. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. The backyard is lovely - very private with beautiful palms and landscaping and the little playset kept our little kids entertained. The neighborhood is a calm and quiet residential area, but it is a short drive to central Ft Lauderdale, plenty of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. We used it as our "home base" and made day trips to other places in S. Florida (Miami, Key Largo, Everglades) But the best part is that you can just stroll down to the beach any time! There aren't any big hotels in the immediate area so we often had it pretty much to ourselves! Craig (the owner) was great - very helpful and friendly and gave us some good tips on navigating the Florida traffic and where to shop. Restaurants we really enjoyed were: For dinner, Greek Isles Taverna - north on A1A a couple blocks past Oakland For breakfast/brunch: La Bonne Crepe downtown Ft Lauderdale on Las Olas. Get the crepe with Crème anglaise - yum.

    This was our first experience using Home Away and we picked the perfect place. The description of the property was right on. Plenty of room for the six of us and more. Very clean and comfortable with lots of extras. The house was virtually across the street from the beach and lifeguard tower. A beautiful state park that borders a waterway is within a short walking distance as well. Restaurants and shopping seemed endless in a 5 mile radius. Owner was very helpful, cordial and made every effort to make us feel at home. Will stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
