I didn't know what to expect when I arrived, so I'd packed a lot of things that were already supplied at the condo: spices, toilet paper, hand soap, cleaning supplies, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find all these essentials, plus the sippy cups, stools, and potty training toilet seat inserts that made life easier for my preschooler! There was even a nightlight for the kids' room and family movies to watch in the evenings. Everything about the condo that appears on their Web site is true. The condo is clean, roomy, and convenient to many, many White Mountain attractions. We were literally 5 minutes away from Storyland, which was perfect. And the game room provided hours of entertainment for our two young boys. If you want an affordable, clean, and relaxing place to call home during your White Mountain vacation, I can't recommend this condo highly enough!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Terrific place to stay. We were there for the typical Storyland / Santa's Village circuit and the location couldn't have been better-- a stone's throw from Storyland, North Conway is easily accessible, and Santa's Village isn't too far of a drive either. Plus the condo itself is great. There were eight of us-- 4 adults, 4 kids-- and there was plenty of room to spread out. The pool was a great bonus after a long day at the park, and air hockey in the basement was a huge hit with the kids too! All in all a great spot, and the owners were very easy to work with, accommodating our last minute reservation request. We'd definitely stay there again for next year's adventure!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a great time here and were happy to find that the condo was exactly as it appeared in the pictures - seeing it in real life was even better of course! We were 8 friends from church in Boston and we came for a weekend getaway. It was great because all the girls shared the 2nd bedroom (very cozy and fun!), and all the guys got their own (full or queen) bed! The condo is very family/kid friendly which was great because even though we are all in our mid-20s we enjoyed the air hockey and board games! The only thing is that we had some trouble getting the hot water on. We followed all the instructions in terms of what switches to turn on, but still the hot water didn't work. Luckily we had an engineer in the group who figured out that there was another breaker switch we had to flip. Once we did that, it worked fine. Also, about 4 of us lined up to shower back to back our first night and though the water lasted for awhile, the last person ended up having a cold shower :(. The next day we spaced out our showers though and had no problems! Another thing is that the kitchen was a bit small since we were all cooking together but it was full of amenities and other than the size, was a great kitchen. Overall a wonderful condo, deep enough in the mountains to enjoy the seclusion but close enough to civilization for us to stop by and explore the downtown area, go hiking, as well as stop by grocery stores to pick up last minute needs. I would definitely recommend this condo and we are considering organizing another trip for the summer!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent 3 nights here during our vacation to New Hampshire in July. We were two families, 7 of us in total and there was plenty of room. The condo was really close to Storyland and shopping. The children really enjoyed the pool. It was really clean and would love to come back and stay again during our next visit to New Hampshire.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was a very nice rental, located where they say- very short drive to Storyland, you could probably walk if you don't mind the uphill return. The condo was clean and well stocked and very kid friendly. Touches like night lights, plastic cups and step stools in both bathrooms (as well as the toys on the lower level) made it much easier to enjoy ourselves with our 4 year old twins and 2 year old. The pool was nice and there was plenty of space for the kids to ride their bikes. However there were a couple of things that need work. In the second bedroom the twin beds were not bunked (and we could not find the hardware for bunking them) so with two twin beds and a queen bed and two small dressers there was no room for my daughter port-a-crib so she had to sleep in our bedroom (not ideal). Also the bedrooms need better blinds/shades or curtains. One blind in the second bedroom was broken and we had to hang towels on the curtain rods to darken the room. In the master bedroom one window had nothing, no blind or curtain. If we rent it again (and yes we are thinking about it) I would bring my own curtain rods (I could only find 2 extra ones) and curtains to darken both bedrooms to make it easier to sleep. I would recommend this rental to friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Glad to hear you enjoyed the unit so much! It is truly well designed and comfortable for families. The blinds do get worn out very easily with renters but that is a quick and easy fix to make during the offseason. Also the beds are not bunked for safety reasons as we rent to many families with children. Thanks for the review!

This was my third stay at this beautiful condo over the past seven years. The kitchen is fully stocked & organized, the spaceous floor plan provides everyone plenty of room, and the views from the decks are stunning. The cool evening breeze felt refreshing after a long day outside. The transactions and communcations with the owners were smooth and easy. All e-mails were responded to very quickly. We have three younger kids, so the 4 minute trip to Storyland was a big plus. Also, thte condo is only about 15 miles to Mt. Washington Auto road. I also drove up to Pinkham Notch early one morning to do a short hike. The views are breath-taking, comparable only to my time living in Boulder, CO. I challenge anyone to find a better deal on a traditional hotel/motel. Most places in town are ~ $200 per night without any meals included. The full kitchen is a big money saver. We did all our breakfasts and most dinners at the condo, and packed lunches for our daily adventures. The kids and I even baked our own treats and took them with us during the day to prevent paying $4.00 for a muffin or cookie at the tourist traps. The unit, property, and pool are all immaculate. There is even a land line phone there for local calls. The property itself is exceptionally quiet, with the rustling of the trees in the mountain breeze becoming the main soundtrack. All in all, an excellent value. I have been accused of being overly "frugal," and never spend any of my hard earned cash unless I know it is a good deal. I did the research - this condo is a good deal! I cannot wait to stay again. The area offers so many great things to do, so please book your trip now!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

If you want a great place for your family to escape for a reasonable price, this is it. While it's not super fancy, it has everything we want and more!! The views are gorgeous, it's in the mountains, and if it's raining, there are countless games and activities for all ages right in the condo. We played Clue, Candyland, Bingo, Jenga, etc etc plus there are great kids books and movies. We have boys and girls, ranging in age from 4-11. We have been going back every year for a few years as you just cannot beat the value. With 8 of us, we never felt overcrowded. It doesn't seem big when you get there, but the 3 levels really gave us more than enough space. We swam in the pool, played on the big grass field, walked and biked around the nearby neighborhood, and Storyland is just 5 min away. Also, getting home was easy! Most of the traffic out of Storyland heads in the opposite direction, so we were home in a flash. It's quiet, kitchen is well supplied, owners are awesome, never had a problem. Best pizza is Elvio's if you like NYC style pizza. Wildcat now has a zipline along with the gondola. Attitash is closeby with winter and summer activities. Great walking trails to falls nearby as well. While bringing linens can be a drag, once the beds are made it's forgotten. Make sure to pack as if you don't have access to W/D as they can be temperamental. As we usually are only there a few days, it's okay, but longer stays pack accordingly. Owners are awesome so discuss use with them. That was my only concern, but it wasn't a problem. Truly our best hideaway, great location, and we don't even go during ski season or the summer. We loved it so much last time we added an extra night. Oh yeah, while there is an issue with the water, owners provide more than enough bottled water. Truly a treat for us to use a water cooler and it's right next to the dining table so super convenient. I can't recommend it enough for what we want in a family getaway, which is fun, affordable time together. Everyone was happy. Thank you.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
