Recoleta apartment description
From the impressive oak and marble lobby to the roof-top swimming pool (somewhat rare in the heart of the city) this building offers more amenities than you might expect. This is the perfect location to 'chill out' after exploring the city. Located on the metro line and with buses and taxis at hand you can reach every neighborhood quickly and easily. Maybe you'd rather work out than chill out; you can choose from the sauna, gym or exercise courts for basketball, soccer or volleyball.
Your modern apartment is tastefully furnished to make you feel at home. From the granite and stainless steel kitchen to the marble in the bathroom, furnished balcony and large closet space--your surroundings provide the kind of comfort and style you desire to assure that your visit is pleasant. This upper floor location combined with modern windows and doors assures the climate comfort and privacy you need.
Your toughest choice might be whether to eat in or dine out. You can order delivery of anything from coffee to Asian food. Stock you own pantry from the modern grocery store just blocks away or check out the restaurants in every direction from the apartment. Many are among my favorite restaurants in the city. In the Alto Palermo area just a few flocks away, for example, a core of name brand stores are surrounded by blocks and blocks of trendy restaurants supported by upscale local professionals.
Equally close is the historic cemetery at Recoleta with high brick walls protecting the impressive mausoleums of Evita (Don't Cry for Me Argentina) Peron and hundreds of others, some famous and others not so. Surrounding the cemetery are shops and dining spots frequented by many travelers.
The architectural eye-candy of Buenos Aires seems to peek at you from around every corner. Known by many as the Paris of South America the city fathers for many years enforced their preference for French-style building design. It shows! Beautiful architecture dating from the late 1800's to the present appears unexpectedly--housing museums, cafes, cathedrals, hotels, schools, apartments or government offices. It's not hard to imagine you are in Paris as you sip your morning coffee and nibble a 'medialuna' (the local word for croissant) while reading the daily at a sidewalk cafe.

"Living well in Buenos Aires".
"Living well in Buenos Aires".
HI Mike! We're back home now recalling our trip and thought we would like to drop you a note of thanks for your hospitality. The apartment location on Santa Fe Avenue is fantastic, just a block from the excellent Buenos Aires subway system. Many popular sites are within easy walking distance, and there are always plenty of taxis that are metered and very reasonably priced. As a matter of fact, following your advice on changing dollars made the cost of a visit to Buenos Aires amazingly cheap. Now I understand your advice to 'bring dollars with you.' The apartment is very well maintained with all the amenities you could ask for including maid service and wireless. Noise is not a problem. The bedroom is in the back of the apartment and very quiet. The rooftoop pool is a great added advantage in summer. We loved the 'inside information' you provide in your guest book in the apartment, as well as the guidance on where to exchange money. If you ever need someone to serve as a reference, feel free to give them my name and e-mail. We met some other tourists who told us the difficulties they had renting from the locals, so we appreciated the fact that we rented from you and had our own personal American advisor just down the street. Also, we loved the selection of restaurants nearby. We felt at home and very safe. We're already talking about our next visit. Thanks, Danny

Thanks so much for putting us up at the last minute during the bus drivers strike. We had the chance to enjoy your apartment for several days while we waited for the busses to run for our trip to the south. We felt like royalty! So clean and comfortable was the apartment, located near so many varied restaurants. We dined at a different spot every night--next time we'll revisit our favorites! Thanks to your list personal restaurant favorites in the apartment guest book we fould some great spots we might not have tried otherwise. We'll be back again-- you made what could have been a vacation catastrophy into a great adventure for us! We'll always remember your kindness.

This apartment is good for young people, a little worn. The furniture is very basic. It is on a very busy street so that the street noise does come into the living room, but the bedroom is surprisingly quiet. The plus of the location is that there is a grocery store across the street, bank and great bakery in the next block to the right and buses and taxis are easy to get. The bed is comfortable and the sheets soft. We picked this place for the roof top pool but it didn’t seem to be clean. We did enjoy going up there to watch the sunset. Also, if you plan to work out, the treadmill and air-conditioning were broken in the workout room so you want to make sure they are fixed.

Owner response: We redecorate, freshen and update the apartment regularly and as reflected in the photos. We've had the treadmill repaired. To use the air conditioner in the workout room one must only pick up the house phone and request that the unit be switched on, for reasons of energy conservation (as noted on the unit itself.) You will find that the sheets are indeed soft and the bedroom is quiet as a library. Expect to find a very comfortable stay in the conviently located apartment.

Hello, I had the pleasure of staying in this apartment for about 3-1/2 weeks in January of 2010. We loved the location and amenities. Tell me, is it available for two weeks starting Jan. 15 when we return to Buenos Aires? Thank you so much, and for a wonderful time in 2010! Best regards, Michael

I want to sincerely thank you for allowing us to stay at your apartment. The place was clean, modern and more than accommodating. Also, we loved the selection of restaurants nearby. We felt at home and very safe. Mariana was also very kind and helpful at check-in. Next time I hope to be able to communicate with everyone in Spanish. Best of luck and thank you again.

About the owner: While I live in southern California most of the year, Buenos Aires draws me back like a magnet. I could never give up my visits to this magical city. From the delta town of Tigre to the antique markets of San Telmo or La Boca and everything in between--Buenos Aires is like no other city I know.
Why the Owner Chose Recoleta:
I am lucky enough to be able to return to Buenos Aires a couple times a year to visit friends and family. I was born here and have lots of family members nearby. The location of my apartment is very important to me. From here I can grab the metro, a bus, taxi or train to get most anywhere in the city or surrounding areas.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I enjoy catching up with my neighbors in the building when I visit. We have lots of social interaction around the pool, volleyball court and party room. Also I enjoy the dining and night life with my neighbors as well as many lifelong friends.
