My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was a wonderful, quiet place to stay. The home is very nice and exceeded our expectations! The view at night of the city below was astounding! It was a short drive to many of the attractions in the area. It was also not that far from the airport which was a great benefit for our early morning flight out.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We stayed at Jack and Linda’s vacation rental for Spring Break 2012. Their townhome is very well kept. It is great for a family with children. It is clean, cozy and well equipped for a restful vacation. We truly enjoyed our stay! The locality is perfect, just far enough from the city to make you feel like you are staying in a remote area. The wildlife that roams around the house is spectacular to watch! We have two young boys and they were anxious everyday to go hiking and exploring around the property. You don’t have to go far to enjoy some hiking as it is literally right out the front! Linda welcomed us with a nice basket of goodies! Her hospitality and willingness to make our stay restful and enjoyable was appreciated. We hope to return again someday!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Hello Cristella, We are so sorry that you did not get to see the bears during your stay. The bears just came out of hibernation this week end and the mother bear and 2 cubs paraded behind the townhome. It was a sight to see! So nice to meet you and your beautiful family! Best Regards, Linda Mason

We rented Jack and Linda's townhouse with my parents to visit our son at Colorado College. From my first conversation with Jack, I knew this would be a wonderful experience. He was friendly, professional, and answered my many questions. Linda greeted us with a lovely basket of treats and showed us the home. It is incredibly spacious and beautifully designed. There were piles of brochures noting activities around Colorado Springs. We hosted 6 of my son's friends for dinner and loved how easy it was to prepare a meal in the kitchen and eat around the dinning room table. From the deck, we enjoyed spotting fox and the three local bears. We look forward to staying at this great property again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

What a wonderful home! All the special touches made this a great place for our family over the Labor Day weekend. It was secluded enough that our cadet felt right at home, and away from prying eyes. The wildlife that come right up to the houses was breath taking. We felt right at home at all times. The gym downstairs allowed us to continue our regular routine. The added use of the incline table has persuaded us to buy our own, my husband and swimmer son absolutely can't live without it now. The house was well furnished, and all the beds were very comfortable =) We were very close to the Zoo, and other amenities were close enough. We chose the location for its "away" feel. It now feels like our home away from home. We will be renting again next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Jack and Linda were kind enough to rent me their condo. I am very thankful for the warm welcome, the gift basket, and the attention to detail. The condo was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The lodging experience was more like a stay at home. I do not think the Broadmoor could top the comfort I felt here. The listing does not do the property or the level of the experience justice. I actually do not think one could phrase the words that will accurately describe the experience. Anyone renting this property will be happy. The animals were confident and numerous. Every day I was greeted by a different animal. The location captures the true essence of Colorado. Thank you for a beautiful memory.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My family (3 adults and 2 kids under age 4) stayed at this impeccable property for 10 nights in March (2011); we had an amazing stay and the pictures on the website don't do justice to the property itself. It was equivalent to a luxury hotel! The owner greeted us on arrival and acquainted us with the amenities of the fully-equipped home. The views and wildlife (deer at our front door) were spectacular! We enjoyed The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (within walking distance), nearby downtown Colorado Springs, America the Beautiful, and other parks and outdoor activities. The owners were very responsive to our requests yet respectful of our privacy. It was truly a "home away from home" and we would definitely recommend this vacation home without hesitation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Stayed at this wonderful home in March 2011 and have rented many vacation homes but the owners here are the most attentive & concerned I have every worked with. The area is very peacful & quiet and the wildlife abundant. The beds are very comfortable and the home is very well stocked with everything needed including wonderful touches of fruit & flowers. The 24 hour security gives one peace of mind & not only monitors those coming in/out of the community but they travel about frequently to ensure everyone's safety. If you're an Army family, this home is also very close to the base.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This property was so much more than we expected! It is a beautiful home and so well cared for.We enjoyed seeing all the wildlife from the patio. The floor plan was wonderful since my young grand kids and their parents were with us.The location was so convenient to all the attractions. The zoo was in walking distant and it was so enjoyable for the family. Linda & Jack were so helpful . I hope to stay at this home again in the summer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

How wonderful to sit on the balcony watching the sun rise and have the quiet broken with the roar of lion and the howl of the wolves - sure glad they are in the zoo! In the early morning neighborhood strolls I learned to carry my camera and keep it on to catch the deer, fox, & turkey all right out the front door. We were lucky enough to spot both the black & red fox from the balcony and a golden eagle landing on the tree right out back - bring binoculars, we will next time. Everything we could think of was provided and more. When I mentioned the breeze blowing out the candles, Linda brought lanterns to protect the flame so we could enjoy candle light visits on the balcony late into the night. Jack left a list complete with maps for local restaurants and attractions. We have one more to add to that list - Fratelli's downtown. Be certain to visit the beautiful zoo and take the time to drive up to the Will Rogers Shrine you see from the house. We so enjoyed the house and the setting, we found ourselves eating breakfast and dinner on the balcony and now wanting to leave and spending a lot more time in the house that first planned. The house is everything they promised, we look forward to coming back again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

My family and I (husband, 2 children and parents) were guests in this lovely home the last week of June 2010. The floor plan is great and the furnishings are gorgeous and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed watching World Cup Soccer downstairs on the big screen TV. If the kids wanted to watch another program they had their pick of 3 other televisions in the house. The view of the mountains from the kitchen window is stunning and several types of wildlife can be seen everyday in the area. We especially enjoyed the foxes that would sun themselves in the backyard of the homes across the way. We walked to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and enjoyed the drive around the Broadmoor Hotel when going to and from the house. Thank you Linda and Jack for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful area of Colorado Springs.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
