This was the perfect place to stay! It was close to everything and a nice oasis from Manhattan! It is close to restaurants and a subway stop. Howard was very accommodating and helpful! The little touches of home - homemade cookies and an umbrella - made our stay even more pleasant. We will certainly return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

We recently spent three nights at Howard and Holly's delightful studio apartment in Brooklyn Heights. This turn of the century town home is situated on a charming, quiet, tree lined street, just a block from the Promenade overlooking the Manhattan skyline. The subway to Manhattan is a few blocks away, as are the main shops and restaurants on Montague and Henry Streets. This studio is the perfect "home base" for visiting Brooklyn or Manhattan, with lower Manhattan just one stop away on the subway. Brooklyn Heights is an incomparable historic neighborhood, renowned for its 19th century architecture. The studio itself is a nice size, tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotless. It looks exactly as in the photos on this website. Howard is a gracious and helpful host. This studio is a great find! Thank you, Howard.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband, myself and our 9 yr old son stayed in the South Studio for a week in May. Being our 1st trip to NY, I decided after loads of research to stay in Brooklyn Heights...and boy, was it the right choice! The neighborhood is wonderful, the studio is on a quiet street only a short walk from 2 different subway stops and a quick 10 min ride into Manhattan. We took a taxi from LaGuardia and used the subway for the duration of the trip (only took 2 days to learn the whole system!) We even used the subway & bus back to LaGuardia. Very easy access! There are several deli, restaurants & markets in short walking distance...we shopped at Key for breakfast food, sodas and snacks. The studio has a small kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave which was perfect for us. Wi-Fi and cable were a plus, as well...after a long day (7 days worth!) of sight-seeing the bed was a comfy welcome. Howard was a pleasure to work with (although we didn't see him except for checking in and checking out) and the paypal option was convenient. I felt we enjoyed our stay much more than we would have in a hotel. We all loved the homey feel and the beautiful Brownstones of Brooklyn Heights are sights to see in their own right. The view from the Promenade toward the city is the best NY has to offer. You will not go wrong booking this studio! We loved NY so much that we want to come back for the Thanksgiving Parade week...but Pierrepont Studios is already booked :(Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I are wedding photographers and we needed a place to stay for our trip to NYC. The wedding took place in DUMBO so we began the search for a hotel close to the venue. A friend of ours suggested we use VRBO and then we found this gem. We couldn't of been happier with our stay. It was not only closer than any hotel from the wedding but $85 a night cheaper. The neighborhood was beautiful and the apartment cozy. It had everything we could want for our stay and close to subway stations, mini marts, shops and restaurants. We stayed 5 nights and can't wait to go back! Howard was great through the whole process and it was a extremely hot for the end of May. He knew it was suppose to get hotter throughout our visit so he installed an AC unit our second day to ensure we were comfortable. Thanks for a great first experience on VRBO!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
