You may choose to bring your boat(free storage for trailer and slip for boat) or, rent or charter a boat from the onsite Four Winds Marina. It’s a great place to fish off the docks or the pier. Dick Jones from SD email: hardworker123@hotmail.com Stay: week of 2/21/10 Quick review of this condominium. Bottom line, very nice place, easy to reach and we very much enjoyed our stay. This was our first time at this particular place and liked it very much. We would not hesitate to return, and will most likely do so next spring. After leaving the snowy North, it is indescribable how one feels when arriving at this Southern home away from home. This particular condominium is clean and just like new. With two bedrooms we found the condo to be both roomy while at the same time offering an environment that is both cozy and intimate. It doesn’t hurt that it overlooks a calm, serene harbor. The whole facility is very well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. The business end of this trip, renting the condo, checking in, checking out, etc were simple processes that did not interfere with the enjoyment of a fun stay in Florida. Although reviews like this one are subjective, I would personally say that there is nothing like an early morning stroll to the fishing pier, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee while observing the fishermen “working” to bring home lunch or dinner. To work up an appetite while at the same time communing with Mother Nature I like the option of a little kayaking around the waterfront. The kayaks, or if you prefer, boats or canoes are easy to rent at reasonable rates and well maintained. My wife and I are music fans and found the Music on Pine Island events in the early warm spring weather to be most enjoyable. Although we don’t normally like crowds, the people at this event are friendly and fun folks with whom to absorb the music selection of the day. In fact, overall, we find the local people to be interesting and enjoyable with whom to mingle. Although I do enjoy a walk to the pier or a little lazy kayaking around the waterfront, sometimes we just want to spend a day on the beach with a (Kindle) book and a good friend. I wonder what my cold Northern neighbors are doing today. Bottom line, you can only love the sunny skies of Florida and we cannot wait to return!!Did you find this review helpful? "We spent a week at this condo and had the best time. It is very well maintained and comfortable. We were concern that we would not fine much to do and we were mistaking. We rented kayaks to explore the aquatic preserves and took some of the most remarkable pictures. We chartered FallingTide Charters, Capt Cory McGuire and he put us on some of the best fishing in my life and the Lazy Flamingo Restaurant did a great job of preparing our catch. Thank you for a great place to stay and a quaint area to relax. I can't wait till next year.......Bill"Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Janet and I (Randy) truely enjoy this area. We live in Riverview, Fl., and have a place on the river that leads to Tampa Bay. Pine Island is so relaxing and enjoyable, we wish we could spend more time there. We both love the water and fishing, this area offers both.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Arrive in the Pine Island/Bokeelia area. Here you can spend some time looking at the waters of Charlotte Harbor. On clear days you can see right across this large water to Cape Haze and Boca Grande Pass where the Gulf meets the Harbor. Bicycle or walk through Bokeelia rich in pirate history. Enjoy the scenery of nice homes, nicely landscaped short rise condominiums, vacation residences, art galleries, marinas, etc. Spend some time on the long pier where you can drop your fishing line. Enjoy a meal on or across from the water, take a day cruise to Cayo Costa State Park with its seven miles of beach and multitudes of sand dollars. Cruise to Cabbage Key for lunch. Leave the money on the wall! Go boating on your own; rent a boat, kayak or canoe. Buy fresh shrimp or fish from one of the commercial fishermen who have long called Bokeelia home. Hire a Captain to take you or your group fishing, boating or to a secluded beach on one of the outer islands where you can swim, bask in the sun, frolic or picnic. Talk with the residents or fellow visitors. Bokeelia also features a diversity of people of various outlooks, interests and income levels living together harmoniously. 'Music on Pine Island' offers a series of concerts in beautiful Fritts Park, featuring classical, pop and jazz.
