Prescott apartment description
This is an adorable and fully independent stand alone apartment above a non-used garage (so there are a few steps to get up to it). There are trees all around it. Looking out the numerous windows one gets the feeling of living in a nest like a bird. There are several active bird nests in Spring and Summer right outside on the porches. It's one block off famous Mt. Vernon Street and the Victorian homes. Senator Highway (the main road out to the Bradshaw mountains and the pines) is right down the same street. It's an easy 5-10 minute walk to historical downtown Prescott and all its fun activities, music, coffee shops, antique shops, restaurants and bars.
The owwner has lived in Prescott 40 years and lives in the main house up front right on Goodwin street. She is available to meet any needs you might have and answer just about any questions about the area. She is also dog friendly and there's an area for a dog to do his business as well. It is located in a residential/rental neighborhood known as the Joslin/Whipple Historical district. The main house is a little cottage bungalow style built in about 1924 and she added this little stand alone apartment about 5 years ago.

We stayed at the Birds Nest over Thanksgiving. We even cooked our Thanksgiving dinner there.... and had everything we needed! A nice cozy hideaway. We appreciated that we could take our new dog without an extra fee. I also appreciated that there was not a cleaning fee. What a great place for less then a hotel room!! Beth was super easy to work with and answered all our questions. Will definitely be staying there again the next time we go to Prescott.

Hi Beth, We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your Bird Nest Hideaway recently and getting to play with Kirby...he is such a gentle giant. I’ve attached a couple of pics that I took of him with our pups, Lucky and Lola. We will definitely be coming back to stay at your place when it’s available in the future. This is a 5 star+ vacation rental. The owner provided exceptional amenities and she thought of every detail, like scotch tape, coffee supplies for the 1st few days, comfortable linens and towels. Having the full size bathroom with a washer/dryer was a plus. The apartment was comfortable, with plenty of storage and the kitchen had all the necessary supplies and we cooked the majority of our meals there. The best part of the apartment was the 2 balconies and it was easy to just sit among the trees and watch the birds and the many hummingbirds. The location was outstanding, close enough to walk to the library, downtown and especially the walking trails up the street on Virginia. Exceptionally dog friendly and our dog Shorty enjoyed getting to know the owner's dogs and the dog yard access was great. Having internet access and aray of TV channels was an added bonus. We loved our stay in Prescott - there is alot to see and the "Bird's Nest Hideaway" has been one of the best vacation rentals we have had so far. Top notch accommodations and amenities. Thank you Beth!

Enjoyed my stay at the Hideway!
Enjoyed my stay at the Hideway!
I stayed 2 nights at the hideaway at the end of October. I wish I had stayed longer. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. The owner has the place fully stocked. I liked having access to laundry, right inside. The location is great too; it was fun to walk around the historical district and town was only a few blocks away. I highly recommend the Bird House Hideaway.

Excellent Stay in Prescott
Excellent Stay in Prescott
My wife and I stayed here for a week in mid October. Beth warmly greeted us and provided much information about activities in Prescott for the week ahead as well as information on the abundance of hiking trails. She was always ready to answer any questions we had during the week and did everything she could to insure that we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was perfect for the two of us with regards to size and location. We walked to downtown almost every morning to have coffee in a different coffee shop each day. In summary the apartment had everything we needed and we will no doubt stay here again the next time we are in town. Tom Mohoric Medina, Ohio

This "birdsnest" is everything it says it is and more. Uniquely decorated with birds and flowers everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful breezes and chirping up among the trees. We had breakfast on the patio every morning. A great bed. Just right for the two of us. Very clean. Everything you would need; booklet with visiting suggestions, phone numbers, etc. Owner helpful and very personable. We would highly recommend this property. The codes to visit nearby parks and lakes was nice. WiFi available. All of your typical restaurants are here or nearby. Nice hiking areas and of course downtown Prescott with it's courthouse park-like center that usually has a weekend music, craft or other activity.

Owner response: Thank you so much for these kind words. It's a credit to all my wonderful renters that I'm able to offer my place on VRBO and keep it traveler and pet friendly. Beth
Nice for a short visit.
Nice for a short visit.
We just spent a week at the Bird's Nest. On arrival my first impression was that the place was too small. I was soon proven wrong. Owner has so thoughtfully decorated and stocked the rental that we found it easily filled all our needs. The location is also a big plus. Everything is nearby, restaurants, town square, highway, and parking is no problem at all. Owner is very nice and responsive to all requests.

About the owner: I am a nurse in Prescott and work part time at the local hospital, YRMC. I have one dog and one cat and have lived in Prescott since 1974 when I graduated from high school. I'd spent summers up here as a kid in Groom Creek since I was about 11 years old. My sister and her husband rent our old family cabin in Groom Creek out through VRBO, also.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I personally love living in the heart of historical downtown Prescott and never tire of my leisurely strolls to the courthouse area for early AM coffee, or to listen to one of the many summer concerts on 'the square' or at a local music hotspot. I've traveled a bit in my time and have never found a place I'd rather live. Great year round relaxing and good clean fun.
