At the last minute my family and I decided to spend a long weekend on Galveston Island. Since it was late July we did not think we would be able to get a rental property that had beach access. We were wonderfully surprised when we got the Beachtown townhome. Beachtown is a beautiful development on the east end of Galveston Island. It is a quiet and beautifully clean section of the island. The beachtown townhome was impeccable. Comfortable and clean, decorated with Potterybarn furniture and accessories. It was exactly what you'd imagine a beach house should look like. There was a set of beach chairs, an umbrella and a dolly to carry them to the beach that was just a few steps away. We spent the days in the surf and were able to walk back to the townhome for lunch. The breeze on the front and back porch was delightful with coffee and relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. We are a family of 7 and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Anyone who is lucky enough to get this town home for a vacation rental will be pleasantly surprised and will make it a tradition. I did not want to write this review...I wanted to keep this fabulous town home to myself.:)Recommended for: Families with young children.
