Historic, Luxury Condo - Urban Loft in Center of the Pearl
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This beautiful loft is located in the center of the Pearl District in Northwest Portland. This urban area was once an industrial zone and has been revitalized into one the most coveted addresses in the Portland area, much like New York City’s Soho.
This building was skillfully converted from commercial use to preserve the historic character of the building. Old growth, massive timber beams are accented with brick and concrete for a true loft feel with all the modern amenities. The unit is open, airy and full of light. It is the perfect “home” base to explore the city as well as all of the incredible day-trip destinations around Portland such as Mount Hood, Multnomah Falls, Oregon Coast and more. With public transportation just two blocks away, you can explore the entire city without a car.
The vacation condo is completely equipped for your comfort, including a luxurious king size bed, high-definition TV/cable, broadband wireless Internet, fully equipped kitchen and secure parking.
Portland is a fantastic city attracting artists, craftsman, technologist and ecologically minded visitors and residents. There is no other place to get a complete feel for Portland than to stay in the Pearl District.
Portland’s finest restaurants, cafes, bakeries, art galleries and boutique shopping are all just a stroll away. Wake up in the morning and walk a few blocks to Pearl Bakery to get fresh-baked bread, pastries and delicious coffee. Afterwords, walk to Powell’s and get lost browsing the stacks in the US’s largest book store. Head over to Deschuttes to have a great burger and sample some of the finest micro-brews that have put Portland’s brewmasters on the international map. Spend the afternoon browsing the many galleries and specialty boutiques that line the district’s clean streets. Grab some antipasti and a glass of red wine at Café Alora before catching a play at the newly opened Portland Center Stage. It’s a beautiful renovation of an old Annex with green touches surrounding some of the finest acting and productions in the city. End the day with a late night dinner in the lounge of Andina where a live band plays Peruvian-inspired music to go along with some of the best cocktails in the city. Best of all, your front door is right across the street! Don’t worry, you don’t have to do it all in one day!
Portland’s streetcar is just two blocks away and can take you to Portland’s Cultural District where you will find the Portland Art Museum, Arlene Schnitzer Music Hall, Keller Auditorium and other great venues. During the summer, the Portland Farmer’s Market is in full swing where you will find some of the finest organic, sustainably grown and produced food in the country. Cheese curds, organic beef, hand made cookies, fresh roasted peppers can all be had amid live music. On the way there, stop by Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland’s “living room.” Catch chess games or shop at J. Crew, Columbia Sportswear, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Tiffany’s to name a few.
The streetcar will also connect you to the Max, Portland’s subway system. Take the Max to the Rose Garden and catch a concert or Blazer’s game or head west and check out the Oregon Zoo, the famous Rose Garden and the Japanese Gardens. All are within about 30 minutes of your front door using public transportation. The Max will also take you to the Airport. You don’t need a car at all.
If you do have a car, the loft has a free secure parking space. Take day trips to beautiful Mount Hood, catch some of the country’s best wind surfing in Hood River or explore lush tidal pools along the Oregon Coast.

Staying at this loft was the perfect way for us to experience Portland. It's superbly located - right in the middle of the best part of the Pearl District - home to great restaurants and shops. It is very well equipped with high quality -new - kitchen utensils. Leo was most helpful. I highly recommend it.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed here recently for an anniversary "staycation" (we live in NE PDX) and had a fabulous time. The location could not be better - in the heart of the Pearl, an easy walk to tons of shops and restaurants. The condo itself is very well appointed, with comfortable furnishings, linens, amenities - plus high ceilings, exposed brick, huge windows - for a very cool urban loft experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were delighted to be welcomed by a bright, homey, spacious place with huge windows looking out on the downtown city life. The accommodations were comfortable and adequate, the kitchen was well supplied for our needs and all things clean. Our hosts were gracious and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and things to do. We felt at home immediately and are very excited for our next visit.
