  My family met at Amazing Grace for a weekend together before my oldest daughter and her husband deploy to Afghanistan. What a wonderful place! Six of us stayed there very comfortably. The cabin was clean, even more beautiful than the pictures and came equipped with everything we needed, including brochures on the area. It was so nice to have a kitchen and living room to gather in. There are TVs in every room although we didn't turn them on once. We were too busy enjoying each other's company by the fire and exploring the beautiful area. When you are at Amazing Grace you feel like you are in the most remote spot possible yet you are only minutes away from shopping, restaurants and other attractions. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place to spend the weekend. I highly recommend a stay at Amazing Grace!

  Upon visiting Amazing Grace, we really didn't know exactly what to expect. We had read the reviews and Ms. Mariea had told me all about the beautification and the surroudings, but I never would have imagined it to be breath takiing. We were there from 7/2/11 - 7/9/11 and each and every moment was so enjoyable. The cottage was beautifully decorated and felt just like home away from home. The view from the master suite is indescribable. The calming view of the deck would allow you to sit, read a book and meditate for days with no end. Ms. Mariea and Mr. Jack we could never thank you enough for sharing your place with us. Our travel there was for a National AAU basketball tournament and with all the teams that were there that week our team (Carolina Allstars) came in 8th place in the country! Thanks again for sharing Amazing Grace with us. May God continue to pour out His blessings on the two of you. Grace and Peace be with you always. Friends from the Carolina Allstars

  My family and I stayed at Amazing Grace a few weeks ago. It is truly amazing. The photos on this web site do not do it justice. The cottage is immaculate and the interiors are tastefully decorated. Hand crafted furniture and upholstery are everywhere! The color scheme is beautiful and interesting and the details are incredible. The owners were a delight to deal with and made us feel very welcome. The location is beautiful and serene and secure. It was private without being remote. We saw many wild turkeys and deer, but never did spot a raccoon. We are already thinking of going again! If you have the opportunity to stay in any of the Raccoon Ridge Cottages -- go for it! They all looked beautiful.

  The Pictures of these cottages Understate the experience you will receive. The cottage itself is truly awesome. We had a large group of adults for a week. The amenities of this cottage allowed us the space everyone needed, whether it was to sleep in a comfortable bed or enjoy an evening on the back deck / porch admiring the Mountain views and the Johnson City lights in the distance. Several evenings we had local guest over to cook out on the grill. Even with the additional people we still had plenty of room. I have rented from others in the area over the past years; Mariea and Jack are a cut above the rest. Their cottages are extremely clean the décor is tastefully done and Mariea’s communication through out our entire process is impeccable. The feeling I got was that was Mariea and Jack truly enjoy what they are doing. They take Pride in ensuring Not only their cottages are what they are advertised to be but your whole rental experience is enjoyable. We have already reserved the cottage for our next stay in the Tri City area. This area offers a lot to do. We have been coming to this area for ten years now to enjoy the Mountains, Boone Lake and NASCAR racing. All our interests are met within fifteen minutes of the cottage.

  This cottage was everything the pictures and description stated and more! We are fairly particular with our travel accommodations and these cottages are really 5 stars! When we arrived, everything was immaculately clean and ready for us to move right in. It is beautifully decorated and all the personal touches made us feel very pampered. The views from the HUGE back deck and the upstairs windows are spectacular. You can see the city's sparkling lights at night as well as the closer natural surroundings. I could write a separate review about the beds and how comfortable they were - from the king in the master suite to he twins upstairs! Another thoughtful touch was outside the cottage. There is a lovely yellow squash plant just across the drive. It's the perfect decorative touch, and how wonderful to use fruit-bearing plants for landscaping!! The cottages are just far enough out of the city to feel private and secluded, but close enough that if you forget something in town or need to make a quick run, it's only a couple minutes away. Also, we arrived to find a box of the largest, tastiest muffins as a gift from Mariea and Jack. Really helpful whether a busy or relaxing morning (or as an evening snack, as was sometimes the case with our stay). When we were making our reservations, Mariea was so wonderfully helpful. She was very good about staying in email contact with us when we had followup questions - always gracious. She even provides excellent driving directions. We are from Texas, so that was very helpful! (I do recommend buying a city map for getting around town if you're not from the area.) We are definitely planning to stay at this cottage again next year and would recommend this property and Mariea and Jack to all our family and friends. When in Tennessee, this is the place to stay!

  A few coworkers and I had the pleasure of staying in Amazing Grace for an entire month while we were in Johnson City for a work project. The work project was nothing we were looking forward to, however the stay at the cabin was! We had a great time, a comfortable stay and whatever we needed was taken care of by the owners in a timely manner. The cabin is also convenient to town but still far enough away to feel 'away from it all'. We enjoyed seeing the deer and turkey (babies too!).Thank you for unforgettable stay.
