This apartment is so lovely and spotless. Everything was in good working order. We were very comfortable here, we just loved it. We came with another couple for a long weekend. They agree that we will be coming back to this same apartment next year. We also loved the neighborhood. We could've spent our entire weekend just exploring Andersonville. We ate in the bars and restaurants on Clark Street and went the short distance to Broadway for some great Chinese food.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Great place to stay! Clean and comfortable, charming decor, quiet, adequate space, and great customer service from owner, Paul. Cozy in the Winter, and would be wonderful any other season as well. Short walk to some great places including: Ann Sather's Restaurant, the cool antique shop next door to it, and other assorted restaurants and shops. Would love to stay here again! Stayed 5 nights to enjoy an early Christmas in Chicago and celebrate a birthday. The owner's descriptions were accurate and neither understated nor overstated. Location in Andersonville is perfect. Everything worked smoothly. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

The flat was a perfect alternative to a hotel stay in Chicago. The owner was quick to respond to E-mails or phone calls and very informative. The flat was clean, quiet, comfortable and decorated in a great vintage/urban decor. Andersonville is full of delightful small shops and restaurants. We will recommend this spot to anyone who wants a bit more of a "home" feel to their Chicago adventure.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This was a fantastic apartment. Located in a quiet, tree lined neighborhood, it is only two blocks from Andersonville. You can eat at a different restaurant each night for a week and not be disappointed. It was only a 15 minute drive to downtown. The apartment was clean, spacious and well stocked. Central air was nice and cool. You won't be lacking any comforts of home at this location. I would highly recommendRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This is such a nice location if you are visiting Chicago. Chicago the city itself is very busy and hectic, it was so nice to come back at night to a homey and quiet atmosphere. You don't have to worry about parking, you have a garage to park your car in. I truly recommend this place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My family and I enjoyed this home and the neighborhood. Everything you need is in walking distance. Paul was friendly and very accommodating. I had a family of 6 which included me and my husband and 4 children and we had enough room to relax and spend time together after our long days out. We went to Six Flags, toured downtown Chicago, and the beaches.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Had the opportunity to say at Paul's wonderful 3br unit in early May 2012. For my very first taste of USA living this was a great start. Shops and transport within walking distance, nice safe neighbourhood and a great launching pad to visit Chicago. Good value, why stay in a $$$$ Hotel ????Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

Such a great little place! I've stayed here twice and will be returning for New Year's 2013. As a former resident of this neighborhood, I can't describe how great it is to visit Chicago and feel "at home" again. The garage offers a nice respite from the outrageous daily parking fees at most area hotels, and it's nice being able to eat in when I don't feel like braving the snow. The owner is great to work with and remembers returning visitors. I highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My family (5 adults and two toddlers) stayed 4 days in this charming and clean 3 bedroom apartment for 4 days. The location was ideal and the apartment was clean and decorated with interesting Chicago memorabilia. We enjoyed exploring Andersonville on foot, but also the Chicago attractions - Lincoln Park Zoo, Navy Pier, museums -- within short driving distance. The service was excellent and the apartment well-maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and/or recommend it to family and friends. The living and dining areas were ample and the kitchen bright and cheery. The sunroom was a pleasant and unexpected plus, as were the large patio in the back and roomy garage. All in all, a great place to stay!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

About the owner: I’m a 4th generation Chicagoan. Although I live in the western suburbs my roots are very deep in the City of Chicago going back to my Great, Great Grandparents on my mother and father’s sides of the family and all my siblings. I love Chicago. My current home Glen Ellyn is about 30-minutes west of Chicago. I am Vice President of our Family owned heating and air conditioning company in Schaumburg Illinois.
Why the Owner Chose Andersonville:
Because of it’s Historic Swedish Neighborhood and the Vintage homes.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
