Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo for rent by owner on Sand Cay beach. Perfect for families, this spacious 1,100 sq. ft. vacation rental features flat screen TV's, fine furnishings and everything you need to have an amazing vacation. The condo is unit 206 at the Sand Cay Beach Resort. Located on the second floor with elevator or stair access, there is nothing better than staying at a resort on its own section of beautiful beach. The condo has all that you need for a relaxing vacation -- linens, towels, beach towels, a fully equipped kitchen, 200+ cable channels, wireless internet, and even beach toys for your children. The beach has lounge chairs for your use and also a heated pool. Also on site are shuffle board and tennis, and we have rackets on hand for your use.

We had a fantastic overall vacation right next to the ocean! We chose Sand Cay because it was a top-rated vacation rental complex. To find the perfect fit for our needs, I sifted through countless Sand Cay listings and I have to tell you that Unit 206 is your best option. We were blown away by all the updates AND the openness of the unit. We have stayed in other condos in Florida on/near the ocean, but they were always out of date and small. Unit 206, however, has the perfect blend of near ocean, 100% updated, and open space for all your stuff! Location descrpition: 100% accurate. Extremely short walking distance to ocean/beach, pool/front desk, shuffleboard, and BBQ grills. We especially loved the ocean view from the deck and the amount of seating available (dining table w/ chairs, couches, living room chair, deck furniture). Photo depiction of actual appearance: 100% accurate. Beautiful countertops and flooring. Comfortable furniture and dining area. Great deck and windows! Most important- open spaces and great room flow! No running into each other or feeling like you are boxed in! We tend to pack a lot of luggage and it was great that we could get all our stuff out without being overwhelmed- really gave us a "feel at home" feeling :) Property cleanliness: Immaculate Owner helpfulness: Extremely helpful, fast responsive, courteous Recommend to friend or relative: absolutely Nearby activities recommended: Sea Kayaking Adventures, Walk the Siesta Key, Tennis on site, Shuffleboard on site, Paddleboard on site, eat at Owens Fish Camp Sarasota (best local seafood in the area, along with creative dishes), eat at Skinny Burgers (mmmm), and of course, SUNTANRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

As we drove on to Longboat Key the atmosphere immediately relaxed. Upscale yet approachable. Quiet but family friendly. The entire island was serene and clean. When we arrived at Sand Cay Beach the excitement grew as we unpacked for a much needed getaway. Unit 206 leaves nothing to the imagination. No-fuss, up-to-date decor including beautiful hardwood flooring, granite countertops, two gorgeous bedrooms and two full bathrooms - plenty of room to unwind. The view from the extra large window reminded me why we were there...simply to breathe. Stepping out onto the private balcony I could feel the salty ocean on my skin. Unbelievable! What to do first? No question about it...go to the beach! Warm Gulf waters, clean smooth sand with shelling galore! Chairs, umbrellas, towels all provided. Oh, and you can use stand-up paddle boards if you ask at the office. So fun! In addition to our morning and evening walks on the beach, we also enjoyed strolling at St. Armands Circle (shopping/dining), going to Harry's for gourmet carry-out and stopping for photo-op's at the numerous beautiful spots all along Gulf of Mexico Drive. As for the wild life...we saw Manatee (one swam right past us!), sting ray (shuffle!), millions of fish, and comical birds. No need to look any further than the beachfront for entertainment! What was wrong this trip? Easy. It was too short! Four nights just barely got me started on the relaxation trek. But it helped. A lot. As they say, location is everything and that stands true with this vacation spot. I could not have picked a more ideal location. Thank you, Sand Cay Beach Unit 206 for an amazing, peaceful getaway! We will be back!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
