This cottage is beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. My husband and I spent the last week of December 2011 here. The view of the Intracoastal Waterway out the back is lovely. The owners and manager went above and beyond, helping us figure out which stores and restaurants would be open Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and even getting some groceries for us in case we arrived late. The bed is very comfortable. Everything was clean and in lovely shape. We had a great time staying here.

Our Favorite Beach Spot
Our Favorite Beach Spot
This was our second year spending a month in this lovely home. We will return again and again. The view from the front porch and master bedroom is spectacular - especially at sunset. The house is comfortable with every possible need anticipated. The owners are so helpful and friendly, we feel that they have become our friends though we've never met them in person. If you are interested in wildlife (daily dolphin sightings as well as pelicans, egrets, and ospreys) and watching beautiful boats sail by, you will love this spot on beautiful Amelia Island!

My Husband and I stayed here for a weekend for a friends wedding. The front porch is extremely relaxing as well as the master bedroom. We felt more like we were on vacation in New England that Florida due to the rich decoration. It was a wonderful place to stay and relax. We are animal lovers and the two next door cats slept in our laps the entire time we were on the porch! Fantastic!

Interior amenities are first class. Convenient to shopping and the beach. Absolutely nothing beats the sunset on that front porch with a nice glass of wine in hand to end a beautiful day!

This is a great cottage. I've stayed there twice w/ my family. It is in quiet and peaceful old town but still close to downtown Fernandina. There is open space next door and you can see the sunset from the front porch. The cottage has been nicely remodeled (especially the kitchen) and decorated. Pride of ownership shows throughout the cottage and grounds. You will not regret staying here!

About the owner: Owner is a retired custom yacht builder who sailed around the world in a 27' Swedish cutter with no engine or electronics. For his 50th birthday he built his own 38' sloop and sailed from Fernandina Beach to Cape Horn, via the Panama Canal, Galapagos and Easter Island, returning via the Falkland Islands and the Caribbean. After selling the sloop he discovered a love of cycling and rode his bike from San Francisco to Maine. Also on the cross country ride was Lois, who owned a Silicon Valley PR company. They met and married in 2008 and now make both Florida and California their home. They have cycled together in the U.S., Europe, Vietnam, Thailand, Patagonia, Canada, and New Zealand. Last year Topper rode his bike through the Andes from Ecuador to Argentina.
