This beautiful home is the ideal getaway for families! It is well-appointed and has all the conveniences of home. It is a classy home with many amenities & special touches. Those with small children will appreciate the extra touches such as the jogging stroller, high chairs, cribs and especially the very short walk to the beach on a sidewalk/boardwalk far removed from any road traffic. Our home is very private - the lot is large and there is comfortable space between neighboring homes. This is an excellent value in Pine Island and there are great family activities (arts and crafts, race car derby, sand castle contests, etc.) during the summer and through September.
Pine Island Perfection can comfortably accommodate 16 in six large bedrooms including 2 MBRs, 3 Queens, and a children's room with two pyramid bunks. There is a gorgeous great room on the 3rd floor with two flat screens, surround sound, and a beautiful dining area. Also on the 3rd floor, is a very large kitchen equipped with all the necessities and much more (as well as bar stools for 4). There is also a screened in porch which is a great place to enjoy breakfast. Each room has its own flat screen TV. There is extensive decking on the 2nd and 3rd level to relax and unwind. On the lowest level, there is also a recreation area with foosball, a small air hockey table and a game table.
Outside, there is a hot tub, large private pool and deck, volleyball court, 2 outside showers, 3 grills, picnic tables, and beach chairs. Parking for 4 cars. We are about 200 yards to the beach (on a private walkway - no shoes required!).
The Community of Pine Island offers three and a half miles of coastline bordered to the East by the Atlantic Ocean and to the west by 5,000 acres of National Audubon Society Pine Island Sanctuary.

We really enjoyed our time at this house. The place is HUGE! This area of the Outer Banks was preferable for us (out of the way a bit, not in the middle of all the noise and partying crowd). Having the pool right there was a big plus, but it was easy getting to the beach, too. We would definitely stay again, and highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

This was a great property for us. Location was great...just as close to the beach as described...with no streets to cross. Spacious, clean, comforatable. We would recomment this to anyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I had the opportunity to travel to Corolla during a week in October. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the large living space that was open to the kitchen and dining area. The men really enjoyed having their own room to retreat to, each with its own television. Although the weather was cool we enjoyed mornings on the top deck with a view of all the other beautiful houses. We walked the beach or neighborhood every day and enjoyed the hot tub with great views of the sky at night. We would love to return again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Fortunately Hurricane Earl did not prevent us from enjoying a spectacular week in your lovely beach house. Aside from a few lingering clouds the first day, we really could not have asked for better weather or for a more suiting house. The convenient boardwalk right off the back of the house made the short walk to the beach a short and enjoyable one when we could escape the luxuries of the house itself. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the dual tv's in the living room. It made for an exciting arena for Saturday's football games. Also the women in the house truly enjoyed the spacious and well stocked kitchen enabling them to "dance" and cook at the same time. We were lucky enough to spot the wild horses on our sunset excursion on the 4x4 beaches in Carova one evening and the serenity of the Pine Island Community offered a great place for a bike ride or morning run. Can't wait to do it again next year!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Our family of 5 loves vacationing in the Outer Banks! It is the perfect vacation for us to combine fun, relaxation, and adventure. We especially love Corolla because of the 4x4 beaches, the wildlife, the lighthouse, the golf courses (mini-golf too), the fishing, the great restaurants and of course, the beautiful beaches!
Why the Owner Chose Pine Island:
We chose Pine Island for the wonderful community amenities, the safety of the boardwalks and the bike paths, and for the gorgeous beaches that are never over-crowded since there is no public access. Our family of 5 can walk to the beach in about 3 minutes on a boardwalk far from road traffic. This was very important to us. They also have great family activities during the summer (tie-dye t-shirts, sand castle contests, race car derby, etc.).
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This is an excellent value in Pine Island. This is especially family-friendly between the furnishings and baby equipment to the private walkways to the beach. There are so many activities to choose from at this home (volleyball, pool, hot tub, deck swings, horse shoes, foosball, air hockey) and there are flat screen TVs in every room! The extensive windows and decking lets you soak up sunshine.
