Most Awesome unit in Sterling Shores is PH 19!!!!

Once again, this February, our usual collection of retired Air Force geezers called Sterling Shores PH 19 our delightful home away from home. We enjoy amenities you unfortunate (still working) sunbirds may overlook. The condo is very spacious and elegantly decorated. Most beach condos have a one butt kitchen. This one is large and thoroughly equipped for sustained usage. During our visit, it was normal to see three or four women bustling about while preparing their favorite dishes while men congregated at the bar or the wet bar. Since this is a top floor side unit, the side window provides splendid views of Highway 98 attractions; Destin Airport, softball and soccer fields and an endless supply of idiots leaping off the bungee jumping tower. Bring Binoculars; you will want to watch the dolphins in the winter months and the bikinis in summer. The balcony is spacious enough for al-fresco dinning. Gorgeous sunsets are best enjoyed with adult refreshment in hand. For those who have to stay connected, there is secure wireless internet available. Hope all you sunbirds enjoy the 4th of July celebration as much as we enjoyed our Super Bowl Party! Thank you John and Bev for everything you do to make us welcome!!

Breathtaking Vacation

From the minute that we arrived everything was just perfect. The penthouse is simply exquisite the decor and gulf view are breathtaking. The spaciousness and layout are superb, providing privacy for all. I cannot express enough the beautiful decor and fine ammenities, the pools were fabulous and private, and excellent food at the poolside grill and Back Porch Restaurant. Our aunt and uncle have traveled all over the country and had also stayed at another condo in destin as we also had and we were all very impressed with these accommodations. We want to Thank Bev and John for providing us with the Best Vacation Penthouse ever!!! We definately plan to return next year and stay in Bev's Penthouse. To anyone reading this, look no further this is the place to stay. You will not find a more beautiful setting or finer owners. Everything was simply Magnificent

Our family vacation started out with a wonderful place to stay. We had a phenomenal view of the ocean. The size of the condo was great and it accomodated nine people very well. We were very happy with the decor and how clean everything was for us when we arrived. Getting to the ocean was very easy and our grandchildren loved swimming at the resort pool. We were close to a lot of resturants and it was very easy to get around in the town. We felt very safe and enjoyed our time in Destin.

An absolutely stunning condo with million-dollar views. The unit lacks nothing and the owners go above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. My teenagers loved to be able to go to the beach or pool, or even walk to the Back Porch or the Candymaker for a late-night treat. If you are wanting to stay in paradise, look no further.

This was our first time in Destin and we really picked the right place. The penthouse was everything it was advertised to be. We really enjoyed the balcony with the constant breeze and beautiful views.

Although the photos of this property look really nice, they still don't do it justice. When my wife and our four teenagers walked in the front door we were blown away! This is by far the nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Bev was great to work with and there were no suprises when we arrived. The entire property was immaculate, both pools were great, and the views are breath taking. The large balcony was great for enjoying the beautiful weather and sounds of the shore. You should stay here! We have stayed a nicer places every year for vacation . . . I am fearful that i won't be able to one up this one. We will have to go back! Thanks Bev :)

We just finished our week long vacation at the Pent House in Sterling Shores and this condo is nothing short of amazing. We've been going to Destin for almost 30 years and this by far is the best condo I've ever rented. The condo is huge, super clean, and has awesome views. We had three families stay here and there was plenty of space. We were blown away by all the accomodations in this room and the flat screens in every room were such a nice touch. I've stayed at Sterling Shores for the last three years and the pool is perfect for little kids. We could not have asked for a better week and we enjoyed the condo so much that after our first day there we requested the same week for next year! This truly is the best condo you can find down in Sterling Shores.

Wow! We just returned from a week long vacation at this condo! From the moment you pull up and have a private covered parking space, to the elevator that takes you right up to your room door, the exquisite views from the balcony. I could go on and on about this condo. Beautifully decorated, very spacious, has everything that you need, you will not want to leave. This is our second time renting this condo and we will be returning again next Summer. It is just perfect for our family of 6. I can't say enough good things about this condo. The pictures are great, but it is even better in person. We look down at the pool and can see The Back Porch across the street. We can look off of the balcony and see our chairs set up on the beach. Minutes away from the great local restaurants. Lastly, Bev and John always call to make sure you are settled and they live local and will be only a phone call away in case you need them. Hope you will take the time to vacation in this beautiful unit. It is home away from home for me and my family.

Bev and John are very easy to work with when trying to schedule your vacation and answer every question you may ask, they are also very quick at returning your deposit after your stay. The penthouse is awesome and everything they say it is and more the views from the PH are the best in the entire complex. Destin has become our new favorite spot for the past 3 years. We have stayed at Sterling Shores the 2 years prior, but this was our first experience with Bev. Her penthouse is amazing. It has every detail you could ever want. The 2 master bedrooms make it big enough for 2 families and a grandma. The one master has a view of both the street side and the hussel bussel and the ocean side. It is a great studio with a seperate entrance and mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The second master completly overlooks the ocean. It has an amazing view. Bev prides herself in keeping the condo perfect and it shows. We rented a pontoon boat at Harbor Watersports next to Destin Harbor. I highly recommend it. We went to crab island and anchored there as well as several other spots in the bay. We always enjoy shopping at Silver Sands outlet and Destin Commons. Our favorite place to eat is the Back Porch right in front of the hotel on the beach. The food is great and bathing suits are welcome. It is also nice because the building has 2 pools. My children loved going to the one beach side every night. They have a great grill that is open that serves amazing hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. Someone even comes around offering food and drinks from the grill. They have 3 barbque grills that you can use right next to the pool. The condo offers several children's activities daily. They also play movies in their theater on Mondays and Wednesdays. They gym was great. It has gym quality equipment and flat screen tvs. She has one parking space right in front of the elevator, which makes it very convienient when unloading and loading the car. The elevator is close to the condo which is nice because that elevator is hardly ever used. Overall, I wanted to cry when we left because we were having such a great time. Bev's Penthouse will be our stay of choice every year. Sorry for any misspellings.

John and Bev, we had a great vacation, the condo was absolutely beautiful, it was very clean, had everything you would ever need, plus some! My favorite was the pantry. Our favorite place to eat was the Back Porch, great food and great drinks! One night we did go to Ebro for the dog races, had a couple of winners so it was worth the ride! We come to Destin every year, your place will always be first on our list. Its so nice having the owners living there locally to call on if you need them (which we did and they were there within a few hours)! Awesome!! From the moment we got to the Penthouse until we departed, everything in the penthouse was great. We loved the balcony, with the oceanview, the sunsets from the dining room windows, the jacuzzi bathtubs, and the kitchen. What a beautiful place to stay even when the weather is not cooperating. : ( We ate pizza, watched movies and basketball when it was raining or too cold to go to the beach. We loved the restaurants that was suggested. We tried several, always good food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back and bring more family members next time.

What a fantastic place. We love Sterling Shores, this penthouse is HUGE and wonderfully decorated. Amazing views from the balconies! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. All of the great comments we read before our month of January stay at this lovely condo were delightfully proven to be true! From the sound/media system and oppulent bathrooms, to cozy lap throws for the leather sofas, comfort and luxury did abound! Magnificent views? Oh my, the enjoyment of seeing an eastbound Pod of a dozen playful dolphins, a huge golden/orange Moon after dinner through the Dining Room window, Sunrises over and Sunsets into the Gulf's horizons from the SAME balcony, planes landing and Destin's night skyline, oh yes, the views are quite magnificent! The Monaco's Sterling Shores Penthouse is absolutely the best value I have ever seen in the Destin area. We stayed there in July 2008. The unit is impressive enough with it's fabulous furnishings and amazing Gulf and City views. But, when you add in the personal service that you receive from Bev & John, then it is simply unmatched. This unit is so nice. I knew from the pictures and from staying at another Penthouse unit that it would be good -- however, it still far surpassed my expectations. Our recent visit to Sterling Shores Resorts was our best!!!! The Monaco's condo is now our favorite!!!! It is beautfully decorated and well maintained. The penthouse view is so pretty. We were very impressed with this condo. We always stay at this location but have switched from condo to condo each year just trying to find the right one. I think we found it! I don't know if words can describe the vacation we had at Bev's place! My husband and I went with my parents and our 2 children. The penthouse is beautifully decorated. This is our second year in Bev and John's beautiful Penthouse condo. It is hard to improve on perfection but somehow they have found a way. The luxurious condo became even more luxurious over the past 12 months. How could we rent from anyone else - most beautiful condo in Destin, incredible views of the ocean and the strip at night, birdseye view of the private planes and "War Birds" at the small airstirp(too cool), and wonderful owners! Very open and nicely decorated condo. Has plenty of space and a great view of the Gulf from the living room, master bedroom and main balcony. We shared the condo with our neighbors and our boys loved using the on-site movie theatre. If we ever end up vacationing in Destin again we would defintely stay in the penthouse again. My family has stayed in Sterling Shores before but this was by far the most beautiful condo. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated! This was very much appreciated because we had cold weather when we visited and spent more time indoors than usual. I highly recommend Ph #19, we will be back next year!

What a wonderful place. This condo is a 10 all around. The views are beautiful. Our children loved watching the dolphins and the planes. Bev was so extremely easy to work with. We loved the recommendation for dining places - very helpful. It was one of our best vactions. Hope to be back next year.

We spent 6 wonderful weeks in this lovely penthouse. The accommodations were exceptional. I would wholeheartedly recommend that you stay in this penthouse. It is first class. The views are phenomenal.

Bev,I must apologize for taking so long to write in your guestbook. My husband and I have been coming to Destin first as children then as adults with our own family for over 35 years and this was by far the "coolest" place we have ever stayed. The views were fabulous no matter which window you looked out. We were blown away by the luxury of the condo and the kindness of Bev and her husband. There were 4 adults and two kids in the condo(and apt.) and we were able to really spread out. The balcony was unbelievable and of course it is always nice to be so close to the Back Porch! Thank you for the packet of "insider" information. We loved trying some new restaurants and re-visiting old favs all within walking distance. We will be back for sure!

We stayed for a week at Sterling Shores PH #19. I have stayed at Sterling Shores before and this was my best experience. The condo was extremely well kept, beautiful, and had plenty of space. With the top corner location the view was unbelievable. We are planning on staying again next summer. I would highly recommend renting PH #19 to anyone.

We stayed at Sterling Shores PH #19 and had a great stay. The Property is beautiful and the people are very friendly. There are also organized activities for the kids daily, ours girls really enjoyed this. The condo was very roomy and the view from the top floor is great. Sterling Shores is in a great location everything is close. This was our 2nd year staying here and we will definitely be back next summer, probably for a longer stay next year, we never want to leave. The condo was also easy to maintain. With mostly tile on the floors it was very easy to keep the sand vacumed up. There is also a great size laundry room with a door to close the noise out. I highly recommend renting PH #19
