  My family and I stayed at this lovely home in Pacific Grove for the Memorial Day weekend. The home is so charming and comfortable, that we felt as if we were staying with friends. We brought groceries and ourselves - everything else we needed was there! We walked up the street for a nice glass of wine at Crema, had an amazing dinner at Passion Fish, then finished our date night with a move - all within walking distance of the house. We also took the kids to the aquarium and cannery row one day (the two passes that come with the house were a huge savings!) and to the Clam Chowder & Calamari festival. We could not believe how quickly we got from PG to the big sights in Monterey. We had no traffic and no parking issues on a busy holiday weekend (we felt like we were cheating). The location of this home cannot be beat! My little one enjoyed the puzzles, toys, and movies at the house so much that they didn't want to leave. Our older child (18) is an artist and sat in the backyard under the tree and painted her watercolors in a beautiful, serene setting. We will definitely be back!   We are so delighted to finally find the most amazing rental home on the Monterey Peninsula! We have stayed at 5 or 6 different place in the past decade, mostly in Pacific Grove (PG). We absolutely love PG for the easy walking & biking access, great views, and wonderful dining options in the quaint downtown. The house is so thoughtfully appointed. Believe it or not, it is the first on in PG that we have stayed at that actually has a dishwasher! Even though it is a home with old bones, it has been updated with features that we have not seen at other homes, notably the forced air heat. It is clean and nicely decorated, but not cluttered, so there is plenty of space for our own clothes, luggage, etc... The home is perfect for a family of 4-5 and would work for 2 couples, as well. The garden is lovely and the kids love running around the fenced yard. Driveway parking is convenient, and we haven't had to move the car since we arrived! You just can't beat this location! Walkable to Lover's Point, two parks, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, PG Natural History Museum, not to mention "downtown" PG just steps away. (Highly recommend all these activities!) If you bring bikes, you can ride even further - to the iconic Dennis the Menace Playground in Monterey are along 17-Mile-Drive (free to cyclists!) in the other direction. We are so excited to find a rental home on the Monterey Peninsula that we can count on returning to year after year!

  The property was beautiful, a lovely restored Victorian cottage, Everything about the house was spotless. There was all that we needed in the well appointed kitchen. The bricked and landscaped back patio was a joy.

  I think we crammed as much as we could into our two night/three day stay in Pacific Grove, and all by reading the "what to do" binder at this beautiful and beyond reproach home. Not only were we only a block from downtown Pacific Grove where we frequented the local market and pizza shack, but we also were able to walk through the neighborhood to the beach in under 10 minutes where we enjoyed a run along the water. Our other favorite past time was watching passer-bys on the quaint front porch that sits behind an even quainter white picket fence. This home had all we needed and then some. It was cozy, comfy, spacious, and a much needed retreat for our family. We will definitely be looking at our calendars to determine another weekend soon for the entire family to stay at this VRBO.

  Wow! I am not sure what bowls you over more when you walk in the door - how nice this house is or how clean it is. We stayed here for 5 nights and could not have been happier. The owner was very helpful in all the details and they have a great binder of info that helps you navigate if you have never been to Pacific Grove/Monterey including lots of maps and suggestions on where to eat. We were able to walk everywhere and loved having passes to the aquarium. FYI - if you show a pass in a gift shop, you get 10% off your purchase. What was the nicest (aside from the great location), was how much obvious thought these owners have put into their home. There was absolutely nothing we were wanting that wasn't there - from where little hooks are placed to the well stocked kitchen. Plus, this house has really nice (aka not rental type) furniture. I felt like we had luxury accommodations all week! We also enjoyed all the special decorator touches like shells and nice artwork. Oh, and the beds are fantastic! We will be back!

  This property was just as advertised: clean, comfortable, within walking distance to everything--i.e., Monterey Bay Aquarium (including free passes for two), restaurants, movie theatre, beaches, PG golf course & the most beautiful scenery you'll find anywhere. Ideal for the small family. Owners very helpful and easy to do business with. House is very well equipped.

  We loved the house, the location, and the vast information provided by the owner. We stayed for a few nights and visited Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur and the lovely town of Pacific Grove. The house is literally around the corner from downtown Pacific Grove. We have two children and they felt right at home in the house. The house has an art table for kids and games. We cooked at home every night and the kitchen has everything you need. And the house is bright, clean, and charming!

  My family and I loved staying at this property. The owners were very responsive, answered all my questions before we rented, and the listing description was accurate. The house is a short walk to the center of the picturesque town of Pacific Grove (which I would describe as a "Mayberry" of the West Coast). It was a great place for my young teens, who could walk to the cool ice cream shoppe and shop at the cute shops on LIghthouse Avenue. I was also impressed by how clean and nicely decorated the property was. Very warm and inviting feel to it. The patio in back is very nice and the overall area seems very safe. In addition to the town itself, we loved the closeness to Lovers' Point and the trolley to take us to the Monterey Aquarium was very convenient. It is a great area to stay to explore Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur, all of which we did. In addition to providing two free aquarium passes, the owners provide a lot of information about restaurants, nearby attractions, etc. I would definitely recommend this property as a great place to stay if you are visiting the Monterey Peninsula.

  This rental was perfect. We have stayed at many vacation rentals around the country, and this one is at the top of the list for: cleanest, charm, location, amentities and neighborhood. It's walking distance to the ocean and just as important - an ice cream shoppe. The free trolley, 1 block away, takes you to Monterey for all the tourist things which was why we came to the area. However, we fell in love with Pacific Grove. Pacific Grove is so peaceful and calm - just like the home. The aquarium passes were great. Besides admission, the passes provided a discount to Underwater Explorers activity where our daughters learned how to scuba dive (a highlight of the trip). Everything about this home is wonderful. We'd stay here again and again if we came back to Pacific Grove.

  I cannot say enough positive things about this house. The owners were very easy to work with and provided many area suggestions. The home is VERY clean and appointed with nice amenities. We only used the kitchen for simple breakfasts, but it was well appointed with everything you would need for a complex meal. The linens were exceptionally high quality and the beds comfy. This house is in a fabulous location with fabulous restaurants and a market within a few blocks walk. It is also walkable to the aquarium and beach. And, it is a very quiet location. We were even there when a street fair was going on a few blocks away and were not bothered by noise. I have already recommended this rental to friends.
