Much more than a "cabin"

We spent five days and six nights in this spacious house. Our decision to rent the property was greatly influenced by the virtual tour, and we were not disappointed when we arrived. People want different things, I suppose, but we were looking for king-sized beds, a jacuzzi, and a view of the mountains, and hoped we might find a house with a ping-pong table. "Just Bearly" filled the bill, and then some; we have never stayed at a vrbo property the included so many extras --- laundry detergent, towels and linens, etc. etc. Though we had one rainy day and were too early for kayaking and white water rafting, we found plenty to do at Amicolola and Vogel State Parks. Another trip, to Brasstown Bald on a picture perfect day, was really awesome, but I think we liked hiking on the Appalachian Trail the most. After hiking, it was wonderful to sit in the jacuzzi or read on the deck in one of the big rocking chairs. The stars were so much easier to see in Blairsville and were the last thing we looked at before falling asleep after long and happy days. Susan and John, St. Louis

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It was in a wonderful location, close to lots of great hikes, restaurants and grocery shops. The home is off the main road but easily accessible. The view from the master bedroom is amazing and a great way to wake up in the morning. The hot tub was a great hit after a full day of hiking. The home is very well equipped with everything that we needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I wanted to write and tell you again how very much we enjoyed our stay in your wonderful cabin! We arrived after midnight Friday night, and had 2 glorious days (weather included!) to enjoy 2 mountain fairs, horseback riding, shopping at Alexanders, hiking, and wonderful meals at Enrico's and Deer Lodge! Your cabin has everything anyone could need and want. It's cozy, yet spacious, and the morning sunrise views had me getting up before sunrise to make cetain I wouldn't miss the sight! This was just the trip we all needed! We had to leave Monday by 8:00 am for our long trip home, but loved every minute we had there. Thank you again for sharing your lovely place.

My wife and I along with several family members stayed at your cabin in April. It was the best way to handle all the activities required for my daughters wedding in Blairsville at the Harelson House. Your cabin was clean, spacious and so peaceful. The sunrises over the mountains were fantastic to view especially from the master bedroom. I would highly recommend your cabin to anyone and look forward to staying in the mountains in your cabin again!

Great Getaway!!!!

My husband, Granddaughter and I spent several days at your wonderful cabin in April. It was very private, clean and everything you could possibly need was provided. We (especially our Granddaughter Autumn) LOVED the horses that could be seen from the deck. We really enjoyed feeding them apples and carrots-they kind of liked it,too. The roosters and donkey added to the "sounds of nature". One of my favorite parts of the cabin was the master bedroom with all of the windows.....what a lightshow of stars at night!!!! The location was great, being close to several towns, but not TOO close!!!! All in all, we had a great time and hope to return. Thank you so much for sharing your special treasure with us all!!! My girlfriends and I stayed at this cabin for a couple of nights for a girls getaway. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. The views were amazing. The environment was tranquil and the perfect place to relax. There is plenty to do within driving distance. The Italian restaurant nearby, Enrico's was delicious! This would be a perfect getaway for a family too. I hope to visit again in the near future and would recommend this to anyone who wants a place to getaway for fun and relaxation!

Hi Jerri and Steve, Had a wonderful time at the cabin. Most vacations are hustle and hurrying up to go sightseeing. This home is extremely inviting to just enjoy the surroundings, nature and the comfort of just relaxing. We enjoyed just sitting on the porch, the views and listening to the horses rustling down below and donkey's unannounced "heehawing"-would make you laugh out loud. The hot tub was soooo nice! This home provides every comfort you need and is so accessible to town and surrounding sights. The home owners are wonderful to work with, providing information and literature to make your stay as wonderful as you would expect. Have already suggested to some folks to look into renting for their vacations if they are in the area. Definitely will ask to stay again. This home is by far the best of many homes we have rented when visiting the mountains. Very close to our property we hope to build on soon. My son and I recently spent a week at the Just Bearly Cabin. I was looking for a cabin in the same neighborhood as my sister and husband who have a vacation cabin. I was thrilled to find Jerri and Steve's cabin in close vicinity to my sister's place. So luckily it was available and we were able to rent it for the July 4th week, (the same week my sister and some of her family would be there). The cabin was lovely, the bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is close to town, but up in a secluded mountain, which makes it nice when going out sight seeing. We stayed pretty busy while we were in the mountains but the morning and late evenings were so relaxing just watching the mountain view from the porch and the moon coming up over the mountain. There was also a rooster and a donkey near by, which added to the ambiance. We also enjoyed the cool nights, being from Florida it was a nice welcome this time of year. There is new place in Blue Ridge that was real cute they had gem panning and a General Store above, it is called Hucks. We also went to the Cedar Mountain Trout Farm, to catch dinner, which is always alot of fun. Thanks again Jerri for being so friendly and hospitable, we definitely will stay at your cabin again!

We just spent a week here and couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin is very centrally located to go exploring from and not get back too late. The cabin is very well kept and clean. It had everything we needed. The view off the back porch was great. we could sit out in the rockers to have coffee in the morning and have a glass of wine in the evening. Jerri was very easy to talk to and very helpful when asked questions. We have already recommended the cabin to our friends and would love to go back ourselves. The Dillard house in Dillard Ga is a great place to eat and to go into NC was a lot of fun also. Thankk you Jerri and Steve for sharing your lovely cabin. Guy and Pam Niceville, FL

Wonderful Place!

My husband and I had a great time and a much-needed break away from the kids. We felt at home shortly after entering the cabin. Very cozy with a gorgeous view. We were lucky to have a snow storm (by GA standards) and it was simply spectacular. Such a treat. The cabin felt remote but it was easily accessible (paved roads!) and close to several towns which was nice given the weather. We can't wait to come back with the kids and take advantage of the summer activities. Such a beautiful place. I must add that the owner was extremely helpful and very easy to reach when we had a question. This has not been the case in our experience with other rental properties. This family really cares about their renters.

Our family has stayed at this cabin several times and really enjoyed it. The view of the mountains from the hot tub and peace and quiet is very relaxing. We visited many of the area water falls and hiking trails. The "Bitter Creek Market & Deli" eest of the cabin on Hwy 515 has the best steaks ever. We would highly recommend a stay here!

We also visited Brasstown Valley Resort which had good food and nice hikes. Had a lovely, easy hike at Desoto Falls and saw 2 beautiful waterfalls. Today we went white water rafting on the Ocoeeriver. AWESOME!!! I loved the deck where I can read in the evening. The horses are so pretty. The view obviously spectacular. I'm also sending my parents up here for a visit. I totally recommend Brasstown Valley Resort's Friday Night Seafood Buffet. I was a little hesitate because I'm personally not a big buffet fan, but it was very good. The rest of our trip consisted of a fireplace, sleeping and eating and then we started all over again!"

I just returned from a relaxing weekend getaway at "Just Bearly". The cabin and view were just beautiful! I loved the warm, cozy feeling of the cabin when you first walk in it made you feel right at home. The food at the Brasstown Valley Resort, Enricho's, and The Front Porch was just so good! This cabin and weekend were just what the Doctor ordered. I can't wait to go back!

We throughly enojoyed our recent weekend at "Just Bearly". The cabin provided us with a perfect place to get away from our busy life for a cozy vacation in the mountains. Atlanta living can be so hectic. It was great to get away to a peaceful area like Brasstown Valley. It was extra special to stay at the cozy cabin "Just Bearly". It was close to town if we wanted to go to dinner or shopping. But most importantly, we were able to relax in a beautifully decorated, warm cabin. We did not want to leave - which is why we will be back soon.

Our cabin has only been on a rental program since May 2003. We have a journal at the cabin but have just recently listed the cabin on a few rental websites. So far, our responses have all been so positive. Everyone loves the cabin and its convenience to so many North Georgia attractions. In fact, our first renters contacted us and wanted to make an offer to buy it. If it hadn't taken so long to find the perfect cabin, we might have considered. What a nice compliment!!!! We really hope that you will consider staying at "Just Bearly". We love it and we promise that you will too!
