This house is very comfortable and the beach is excellent. I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and the beach was sandy and shallow enough for them to have loads of fun. The fenced in property is an additional advantage. The house is well stocked and close to town. Sunsets are beautiful and overall, it was a very restful trip. The owners go out of their way to be helpful. Judy even ordered a cake for me for my son's birthday!Owner response: Thank you for the positive feedback and business. So glad that you could enjoy your son's 6th birthday with your family at our beach home. Happy to help in anyway we can.

We stayed in this beach house with our adult kids and grandkids, hoping for a stressfree vacation with our family. We were not disappointed, it was a wonderful, relaxing get away. The quiet fenced in yard kept our little ones from wandering off, the tall trees assured protection from the sun, the paved areas provided a place for the kids to ride bikes and scooters, and of course the large sandy beach and the clear shallow lake was the perfect playground for all of us. The house is spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, linens, and furniture. The kitchen is fully stocked with colorful dishes, pots and pans, and utensils for every purpose. \ We enjoyed our morning coffee in the east sun room and in the evening, we watched the sun setting slowly over beautiful Lake Missaukee while roasting marshmallows in the firepit on the patio. The sunsets are awesome! The house is conveniently located on the south side of Lake City where we could walk to Wesco for incidentals and to church on Sunday. The owners have obviously gone to great lengths to insure that their guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.Owner response: Thank you for the review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Great tenants as well. Everything was left in perfect condition and we look forward to renting to you again if you should decide to ever stay at Lake Missaukee with your family!

We stayed here in early summer, before it was listed on Homeaway. First of all, we had a great experience overall. This is probably the nicest location on Lake Missaukee. Sunsets are awesome! It is located in a large bay, so it is also protected from wind except for the northwest. Awesome, private, sandy beach! We stayed with two small kids and they loved it. Be sure to bring your fishing boat and poles as this is a great bass, walleye, and panfish lake. My son and I stayed busy all day catching fish. No boat dock but small boats can easily be beached on shore, or boats can be launched at one of two boat ramps about 2 miles away. The house is nice. It is not brand new, but was recently redecorated and very clean. Beds are very nice with very comfortable mattresses and new sheets and linens. The laundry was really nice as our clothes got really sandy after playing all day on the beach. Entertainment options include HDTV with local channels ( no cable ), with DVD/blue ray player. The house does not have cable/Internet access, but we kept plenty busy with outdoor and family activities. The home owners are very nice. The are responsive to requests, and do a great job of maintenance on the property. I recommend the Food Factory for sit down dining (casual bar style), as well as the Tasty Treat for ice cream! In summary, if you are looking for a nice, clean house to enjoy Lake Missaukee with family and friends than this is a great option.Owner response: Thank you for the positive feedback. Very glad that you enjoyed your stay. Being that it is a new purchase and renovation this year we hope to have a dock in place next summer as well as additional improvements to the property. We try hard to accommodate our tenants requests. Cleanliness is top on the list.
