Located on a quiet, dead end street, this comfortable home provides easy access to many of the city sites and a peaceful respite to come home to. Enjoy sitting on the deck with a cool beverage and something tasty cooking on the gas grill while you enjoy a view of the Space Needle and Queen Ann Hill. If your travels involve time at Children's hospital, there is a well maintained, walking path directly there just down the street. A small local shopping area with coffee shop, salon, restaurant, pharmacy and more is only a block away, as is the Burke Gillman Trail. Several nearby bus lines make navigating the city by foot or bike pretty convenient. Among the many things we do to make your stay comfortable we have made up all the beds with high-thread count sheets and down comforters.

We needed a place to stay for a long weekend in January in Seattle for a visit to family, much of it living in Laurelhurst. We were 7 adults and one baby --- the two of us, our three daughters, two of their three husbands, and a six-month old. The owners very thoughtfully set up a porta-crib for us in the master bedroom ahead of our arrival. The house is clean and attractive, and we all slept comfortably. The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped (though we didn't really do any cooking). Everything worked very smoothly. We were very happy with this rental.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We attended a conference meeting in Seattle and had a great time during our 8 days staying in this house. Being a UW alumnus I am familiar with the area where the house is located- a very nice residential neighborhood but not too far away from University of Washington and downtown Seattle. We has a small trouble getting the internet to work in the house when we arrived, but the owner, John was very responsive and helped to get the problem solved even at the time of 9pm in Friday night. Over all a great experience for all of us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About: I grew up in the Midwest, moved to eastern Washington for work and ended up raising my family there now that I'm nearing retirement I am looking forward to possibly relocating long-term to the Seattle area. My children and their families' all live in Seattle now and I currently work on the east coast but I really enjoy spending as much time as I can with my three children, their spouses and my three grandsons.
Why Other Seattle Properties:
I originally purchased this home as a place for my sons to live as they attended the nearby University of Washington. Laurelhurst has a deserved reputation for being a quiet, considerate and safe neighborhood so I felt very comfortable with my children living there. The home was really ideal for them with it's easy proximity to the main campus as well as a safe, quiet place to study. Since they no longer need housing for school, this home provides me with an ideal location for spending time with my children and grand children whenever I can get away from my work on the east coast.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The quiet neighborhood, pleasant view, entertaining deck make this home very comfortable to live in. The incredibly convenient location makes this a great place to launch from for any number of types of stays in Seattle with easy access to Children's Hospital, University of Washington, UW Medical center, lots of shopping, dining, and other great local services. Even getting downtown is easy and doesn't require getting on the freeway.
