Imagine a place that feels so far off the beaten track you can still feel the spirit of "Old Hawaii" gracing the rooms of this charming cottage.
It is simple yet perfect, complete with all the details that make a place truly comfortable. It is decorated with many personal touches, tropical and artistic with its own unique feeling.
The location is ideal, a residential country setting in the small village of Waimanalo. In 2001 National Geographic named Waimanalo one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!
The beach is totally undeveloped, offering miles of undisturbed beauty with the stunning grandeur of the Ko'olau Mountains hugging the coastline. All this is less than a two minute walk from the cottage!

I stayed at Skye's oceanside cottage for a week in October and it was the perfect getaway. The cottage is equipped with all the necessities (even if you want to cook!), and, there is also the old Hawaiiana ambiance that is difficult to find. It's clear that the cottage has been decorated and maintained with tender loving care. It was my perfect getaway from the stress of work on the mainland. One of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii is located half a block from the cottage and you won't find thousands of tourists. I highly recommend this property to anyone who's looking for peace, natural beauty and quiet.

The cottage with the most incredible beach and the sea so close by, with all the wonderful flowers in the garden around and the privacy it provides, truly is a little paradise. Inside the house, one can tell that the owner pays much attention to many little details that make you feel comfortable: the house is clean, the kitchen is equipped with almost everything you need, there are many seating accomodations, videos, books and fresh flowers in each room. We came all the way from Germany and we loved it. Skye, you are an amiable hostess and it was great meeting you! You know that we will be back! :-) Ute and Klaus

We were in Hawaii for our daughter's wedding and did not want the tourism experience of Waikiki. This cottage was the prefect Hawaii experience. The cottage is lovely, clean, cool, and private. You can hear the waves from the ocean and beautiful bird songs wake you in the morning. We would recommend this rental to family and friends. Waimanalo is close to many activities, and the cottage is a short walk to the beach.

Dear Skye, I could not have had a more relaxing vacation in Hawaii than I did spending this past week with my family in your cottage. From the moment I stepped in there I could sense a warm, welcoming and whimsical atmosphere. And with the beach located a short walk away, it couldn't have been better. I think one of the highlights of our trip was having 24/7 access to an ample amount of friendly felines. Our family has three cats, so we are large cat lovers and embrace the opportunity to bring more cats into our hearts. Thank you for giving us the chance to spend time with your beautiful cats, as well as spend time in this magnificent cottage located in such a majestic place. I will try to convince my parents to bring us back here soon (although I think they are already planning a trip to come back now)! :) Thank you again for your hospitality and kind heart. Mahalo :) Ashley Moffett

Great spot! Exactly as described and photographed - clean and charming. The owner was there and ready to help when needed (and did) but we had 100% privacy and quiet - best of all worlds. We wandered to the beach in the mornings and read on the beach in the afternoon. It is like a home away from home with beach chairs, bogie boards and snorkel gear. The owner is clear about the requirements for arrival and departure - so we had clarity and no fuss - very relaxing. Great for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking in the unspoiled country and close enough for fabulous dining in Honolulu. The owner is a total sweetie and just happy to welcome you to this piece of Paradise. I would visit again and would recommend it to friends and family.

If you're looking for a no frills, quiet and peaceful place to get away this place is it. The beach is about a block away. It's very windy there and not a lot of flat beach to lay out in the sun if that's what you want. But there is beautiful sand and a mix of sun and shaded spots. Very peaceful. Limited dining in the immediate area. Easy drive to just about anywhere. I wouldn't recommend during the summer. The place warms up quickly.

We really enjoyed our stay (first time) at Skye's cottage. It is even better than the description and pictures. The cottage is very cleverly decorated and is quite private due to outstanding landscaping. Everything you need is provided. Waimanalo beach is our favorite anywhere; it's only a two minute walk to the sand and sea. This cottage is a great option for a couple looking to be near the beach without paying up for a large home on the beach.

This was our second time staying at this magical cottage. Privacy, comfort, beautiful flowers and butterflies....wonder-full attention to every detail. And a very short stroll to the fabulous beach. All of this and a warm aloha from our host.

> Thank you so much for being a great hostess. We left shortly after 7am and didn't get a chance to say goodbye. We truly enjoyed your beautiful cottage and that fabulous beach! I think Waimanalo is a treasure and I'm thankful that your little cottage was the draw that introduced us to such a special place. Loved the recommendation to Sweet Home Waimanalo as well, the fish tacos were awesome. >

The Cottage was everything we could have hoped for and more! The pictures on this property do not give it the credit that it deserves, it is just gorgeous. We loved the very quiet, cozy feel of the cottage and the great front porch and private garden areas. We cooked our meals in the cozy kitchen every morning and used the grill in the back yard. The cottage has its own private world seperate from the main house. The walks to the beach were great especially in the morning and evening as its only 1 block away and you can hear the ocean all day. You do not need air conditioning as the breeze at night is nice and cool. There is an AC if you need it and we turned it on one time during the day and its gets all the rooms really cold. The parking was free in front and no one can park in your spot, nice. We liked the boogie boards, snorkel gear, and the beach towels that Skye let us use for free. We would have had to rent most of that gear and it adds up. The kithen saved us about 80 dollars a day from going out to eat, thats alot! Rental car was a great idea on this property but bus stop only 2 blocks away if you like the bus. In all, this was the perfect place for our getting ready for our wedding and then enjoying our honeymoon. Skye is just great and we will miss her and we hope to see her again in the future as we will rent this cottage again on our next trip to Oahu. Mahalo Skye!
