Privacy and beauty of country living, yet convenient access. This beautiful homestead is nestled in the rolling hills between Santa Claus and Mariah Hill.
This is a spacious 2,500 sq ft two story home with a large living room, large dining room, full kitchen, woodburning fireplace. There is plenty of room, inside and out, to spread out and relax. You have plenty of bedrooms, as well as beds, so you have privacy and comfort. There are actual beds for 10 people, plus the pullouts.
The rental price includes your bed linens and towels, as well as a good supply of paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels, and dishwasher detergent, etc. Many places charge extra for these supplies. I try to have things there so all that you need to pack is your clothing, toiletries, and beach towels.
Two covered porches for enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. Beautiful view!
House layout would work well for one or multiple families. This lovely home is secluded enough to have plenty of privacy, but close enough that you don't feel isolated. While staying here, you are amidst the sights and sounds of nature, including cows and donkeys.
The house is also available on a monthly rental. Moving into the area and not yet sure where you want to live? Working at a local company on a temporary project? Need a transition home after you have sold your residence? Contact me for more information.

An overall great property and location. The property was exactly as described -- very clean with all appliances and ammenities in working order -- photos were spot on too. There were seven of us (multi-family) during our 3 day stay from children to grandparents. Whether we were playing basketball on the outside court, building puzzles in the family room, or just enjoying 'birding' on the front porch, there was something for everyone. We spent one day at Holiday World and the remaining time we spent taking in the rich history of southern Indiana -- Jasper and Ferdinand. Everyone in our group had only pleasant things to say about this charmingly, quaint farmhouse. This home is a 'must stay' for those considering a visit to the Santa Claus area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed at the farm house for 3 nights; with 5 of us sleeping in the house. On Saturday, we hosted a family get together at the farm house. This place was perfect for us. The floor plan of the house is flowing, with a dining room large enough to accommodate those who prefer to eat inside. The kitchen has a wonderful view from the window over the sink, and is easy to work in. In fact, every room has a great view. Everyone who came raved about the location and setting. We had people from Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Texas. My 95 year-old father is very familiar with this part of the country, since he spent boyhood summers there working on various family farms. He took special delight in giving tours of St. Meinrad Archabbey, Monte Casino, and the Sisters of St. Benedict Monastery in Ferdinand. One of our visitors, who is an international flight attendant, favorably compared these sights with those he sees in Europe. In closing, this location is a great base for visiting so many places in addition to the obvious one of Holiday World. I highly recommend Sally's farm house.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed at the "Farmhouse" the last weekend in August. The house was large enough to accomodate our family. The listing describes the house well. Everything was clean and the kitchen was in good order. I would certainly recommend property to someone else. It was minutes to Holiday World, which was great. The house as it shows is back a lane which helps to make your stay quiet and peaceful. Our main purpose in renting the house was having everyone together, for our Holiday World weekend. This worked out MUCH BETTER than renting rooms at a motel. We had a great time and plan on staying again next year.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family and another family decided to head to fall for the promotions and see what Holiday World was all about. We searched for a hotel and they were very expensive and almost a 30 minute drive. In looking for a place to stay we found this place for a reasonable price (in fact splitting the cost between the 2 families it was significantly less than getting separate hotels. The house is very near Holiday World (just a few minutes), quiet and well kept. We highly recommend the house and will make sure we stay here next time we come to Holiday World.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. We had a family reunion and the farmhouse was a good centralized location for the various activities around the area. The property was clean and well-maintained with lots of bedrooms, sufficient lounging areas, and spacious land outside for kids to play. The description provided by the owner, including photos, was accurate. The only recommendation I have is that the owner fix a few broken items: a first-floor bedroom door that wouldn't close (with no lock), outdoor equipment (badminton and ball toss) that had broken pieces, a cabinet in the dining room that wouldn't close, and a refrigerator door that was hard to close. I actually LIKED that there was no wi-fi, so family members were forced to "disconnect" from the technology in our daily lives. We really enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We used the house as a focal point for a large family reunion, in conjunction with 14 rooms at the Santa Claus Lodge; it was so relaxing to be sitting together in the yard under the trees while the younger family members were at Holiday World. I was initially concerned about bathroom facilities but we never had a problem even with 6 adults, 3 teenagers and a 7 year old staying in the house. I wholeheartedly recommend this rental to anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We came from three cities:St. Louis, Atlanta, and Indianapolis. An outstanding spot for family peace and fun. The owner had just the right games and toys to interest the grand children and they loved the outdoor space. They loved hanging their clothes on the line, watching the cows, tractors and hay bales. The place was clean and had what we needed for our stay. We all highly recommend it.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We (9) enjoyed every single second of our time at the farm house. My family (city dwellers) depressed and felt the peace over take them. Day trips are a cinch and what a delight to come "home" to our farm house and fix meals and play games. It is exactly as described and even better!! Photos are spot on. Clean and furnished to perfection. Comfy beds and seating for all. Sally is a wonderfully helpful and friendly person. I recommend this to everyone wanting a "family" home for their vacation. Loved it!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Gorgeous property and home just a few minutes from Holiday World. There are very few good housing options in the area for families or large-ish groups of friends and this home shines. Try it out and you'll come back every year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
