  Our family would highly recommend this house. We had 2 small children and they enjoyed the bunk beds. House was only steps from Rocky Point beach access. During the summer months there is a great sandbar with lagoon, which is perfect for kids. The overall vibe of neighborhood is very friendly. House had more than enough room for much larger familes and had everything we could had needed in the way of supplies, utensils etc. Also a plus was the private parking area, fenced in yard for kids and definitely the outdoor shower to wash off beach. Furnishings is the how are very comfortable. Location is perfect, since it's just a short drive for everything on the north shore, Foodland, Starbucks, Turtle Bay. We cannot wait to visit again as soon as possible.

  I just returned from a 1 week vacation with my parents, sibling & children. There was 8 of us ranging in age from 76 to 17. The house couldn't have been more accommodating! Foodland just down the street made it easy to cook @ home most nights And minutes away from Waimea Bay was just perfection. Walking just feet to the beach for the sunset every night....heaven. The house made the vacation even more relaxing.

  So much fun! Thinking about the upcoming summer, we were reminded of the blast my family and I had at this house last summer. Steps from the beach, calm area, able to bike ride everywhere we wanted to go. This was an amazing family getaway!! The decor was hawaiian beachy that made us feel right at home. Thank you!!!

  Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed at Steps to Rocky Point for 1 week in May 2010. We had a lovely stay. The house was clean, well presented and equipped. All the modern conveniences were available. The house was on a side street access off the main road (Kam Highway) so their was no traffic noise, it was easy to find, parking was in the enclosed yard. We stayed in the lower level of the house which has 2 bedrooms - 1 with a king size bed and the other has 2 bunk beds. We chose Steps to Rocky Point for its vicinity to the beach. We did not want to pack the car every time we wanted to have a swim. We found some beach toys that came in handy for the children to play with - both at the beach and at the house. A small downside - we did not locate an umbrella, however as we have small children we do not visit the beach in the middle of the day so it was not a big issue. Their was a fenced in yard which was great for the children to run around in (a neighbourly cat also kept the children occupied). An outdoor shower came in handy to wash the sand off prior to entering the house. Their was a BBQ and setting outside which was great for cooking. We did not locate a drying line for the beach towels / costumes - perhaps we did not look hard enough. A booster seat at the house was used for the toddler to eat her meals. No crib was available. Close by (within a few miles) you will find Starbucks, a Foodland for the groceries and Teds Bakery (for the sweet tooth). If you are able to hire bikes there is a great bike path/ walking path (safe and not a hard ride) from Waimea to just past Sunset Beach. The North Shore is great as it does not have the crowds like Waikiki (note it does get busier of a weekend as those that live in the Waikiki area come and relax) but there are plenty of beaches dotted along the Kam Highway. We would recommend this house to our friends and family - we also plan to return in a few years time.

  On our recent visit to Hawaii we discovered "Paradise". Always visiting Maui or Kauai to avoid the craziness of Oahu we've overlooked the serenity of the North Shore for years. This property offers spectacular accommodations,very clean, perfect location with a great island feel, only steps to to beautiful Rocky Point or a short bike ride to Waimea Bay or Sunset Beach. What more could you ask for ! The best surf in the world, great snorkeling, beautiful beaches and the perfect island style home. Our new favorite destination in all of Hawaii.

  A beautiful location only steps to the water. The wrap around balcony is so functional for island living, protecting you from the rain and direct sun, yet giving you the ability to be outdoors in the islands balmy embrace. The large kitchen and dining area are perfect for entertaining or better yet, move it all out to the balcony! Parking is easy with room for extra vehicles. I'm ready to book it again, Thanks V..

  My family just spent a week at Rocky Point. There were 10 of us and this house was perfect! It is in an amazing location with great snorkeling, spectacular beaches and great food within minutes!!! The house is clean, comfortable and was perfect for a family of our size. We will definitely go back to this house and the North Shore of Oahu!!! It is a special place.

  My husband and I took our sons, daughter in law and my in-laws to Hawaii...this was the perfect home for us as we all had our private space in nicely appointed bedrooms...plenty of bathrooms...and terrific space to hang out as a family. The dining spaces both outside and inside could handle all of us, plus more! And the comfort of the Balinese day beds and chairs in the living space was comfortable and exotic. The outdoor lanai's were terrific. My husband and I enjoyed the privacy of the master bedroom lanai, with the family hang out on the main lanai on the first floor perfect for all of us...and, I haven't even got to the stunningly fabulous beach with the most awesome sunsets. Every evening was a delight. It was such a perfect place for us I must admit that we didn't tour the island as much as we thought we would...we preferred to stay in the house and on our own very private feeling beach. Thanks to the owners for creating such a great get away for us...we'll be back.
