My husband and I traveled to Idaho for Ironman Coeur d'Alene. From the moment we had contact with Louise and Jim we felt like family. We were taken care of and were able to relax in preparation for race day. Heaven on Earth is a true oasis, a place to relax and explore! Our only regret is not staying longer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our time at the Grassi's was the perfect vacation for our family. The property is an oasis of peace and tranquility and yet close to all that the Coeur d'Alene, Spokane, Northern Idaho area has to offer. We took advantage of the many "extras" that the Grassis offer and would highly recommend them. We did fly fishing lessons for our entire family, a day on the lake with Jim fishing and water skiing, cooking lessons with Louise, and the daily breakfast option prepared by Louise. Looking back I am amazed at how much we did and how relaxing it was! In addition to the activities listed above we rode the Hiawatha trail, floated the Spokane River, and fished the pond and river daily. This is truly a unique VRBO opportunity with the personal touch the Grassis offer. Jim is an expert outdoorsman, fisherman and an incredible teacher and Louise is an exquisite chef and teacher as well. We have stayed at several great VRBO locations and found this provided- as our 16 year old stated - "Our best family vacation ever".Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

I have had the privilege of staying at Heaven on Earth on two occasions now and I can't wait to get back there for the third. The property is nestled above the Spokane River and offers a spectacular view of the exceptional landscape. Nothing better then to stand out on the deck with a glass of wine and soak in the gorgeous scenery. There is a beautiful pond that is loaded with Bass and the owner Jim Grassi loves to demonstrate and teach the fine art of fly fishing to his guest. The ambiance and decor of the home is magnificent yet romantic and cozy. And the absolute real treat is when you get to experience one of Louise Grassi's gourmet meals. For me the entire "Heaven on Earth" experience is truly like Heaven on Earth.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This place IS "Heaven on Earth! We didn't want to leave it! Jim and Louise were the best hosts ever and they made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed plus more! They went out of their way to make us feel special! We loved the llamas, big horn sheep and of course Penny the lab! The view of the property and of the river is breathtaking! We can't thank them enough for their wonderful hospitalilty and anyone who is fortunate enough to stay here will feel the same way! We are spreading the word to all our friends and relatives so they can also feel "Heaven on Earth"!! Thank you Jim and Louise!!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
