  6 of us stayed in this house for a week. There aren’t enough good things to say about this property – it is absolutely huge. Not only that, I can honestly say it’s one of the nicest homes in the neighborhood. There are plasma tvs all over the house. There is a washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, deck with a grill, basically anything and everything you would need for a great vacation. If you have kids, you will not find a better beach (it’s about 6 blocks away from the house). The water is shallow and you can literally walk about 300 feet in and it still won’t reach above your waste.. My kids absolutely loved it – we went to the beach twice every day. In addition, there is a very nice library next door with a ton of activities for the little ones as well as a great playground about 2 blocks away. The town itself is very quiet and the people are extremely nice. To sum it all up, if you have children and are looking for a nice and quiet vacation – this home is definitely for you! in

  We had two families stay in this home and there was plenty of space. The pictures definitely make the rooms appear smaller than actual. The dining room was perfect for all 8 of us and could accommodate more. The kitchen was well equipped. The house was clean. We packed light and used the laundry facilities daily. Our kids were ages four, three and a half, two and 22 months so we opted to drive to the beach since the little legs couldn't happily make the 1/2 mile walk home at the end of the day. We did walk to the library, park/playground and town center. Opportunities for improvement: - We were disappointed with the toiletries available in the house since we had to buy hand soap, paper towels/napkins, toilet paper and tissues. - Large citronella candles or torches would be a great addition to the home as we missed out on evening porch sitting because the bug spray alone just wasn't cutting it. -We wish there were two queen beds instead of only one in this property. - There were a lot of flies indoors. We were swatting at them constatntly. Although I doubt this is an issue with the property and is more about being at the beach since we did see our neighbors swatting often too. Attractions: The beach was amazingly stress free with the little ones. They had plenty of freedom to roam and still be visible to adults. Even on the weekend it was not crowded at all. They only had to wear their swim vests one morning during high tide. Other times there were enough sand bars they could walk for a long time and be waist deep or less. We enjoyed the town shops and rental of beach equipment. We had fabulous (although pricey) seafood at both Aqua and Sting Rays. The adults did an amazing 2 hour kayak trip through the wildlife refuge with southeast expeditions. Overall, I highly recommend Cape Charles and this property for a relaxing, laid back and low stress family beach vacation.

  Our extended family used this home for a four day adventure in togetherness and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable; we weren't too crowded and the house was lovely. It would benefit from having a few more games/puzzles/books to use while you are there, as I was expecting to find these in the home and we didn't bring much in that dept. But that's a small thing. We enjoyed Cape Charles, even though its Renaissance isn't yet complete. We also spent a great day up in Chincoteague. (Check out Cap'n Barry's for a great boat ride up there). The house is a duplex, and the owners of the next door place were there and were so friendly and helpful to us. That was totally a plus!

  This house is so nice and it's HUGE! It would be a great rental for multiple families. The bedroom is so large!! This is an older house that has been totally remodeled and updated. It is so nice inside. There is a nice front porch and a big back deck which is great for hanging out on after a day at the beach. It so convenient to have the beach walking distance - no need to load up the car with sand just walk! It also has several flat screen TVs so you don't have to miss your shows. All and all we loved our stay in this house and plan to go back again!

  This is a great vacation rental with so much room. It would be great for 2 families. The home is older with so much character, yet it has been totally remodeled and updated. The bedrooms are huge! The kitchen is very nice with granite countertops. We also loved the front and back porch to hang out on. I highly recommend this home for a great, relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

  We had a great time staying in your lovely home. It had everything we wanted...all the amenities, tons of space for the kids to run around, short walk to the beach, and a very short walk to the quaint downtown. We hope to come back again very soon!

  What an awesome place! We rented for a long weekend with our extended family. It was quiet (even though we have lots of little ones!) and beautifully appointed. The kitchen was well equipped and we really loved our family dinners and game nights around the large dining room table. Lots of room for the kids to play and adults to "chill". My husband loved the nice technology (great tvs, even in bedrooms). We absolutely loved the front porch and steps. An easy walk to the beach or a quick bike. Our family enjoyed running, biking, tennis and the beach. Easy and safe to walk around and enjoy the park, downtown area, library and beach. A great place to stay. We'll be back!

  We had wonderful long weekend with our extended family at this charming home. It was located within walking distance to the beach, the park, downtown and the library. We enjoyed quality family time with meals at the large dining room table and game night each evening. The house was spotless and ready for us as promised. Not having to lug a portable crib was a real plus. Thanks for letting us discover the simple joy of spending time with loved ones. I'm sure we will rent from you again!

  This is a wonderful vacation home. Comfortable, clean and well cared for. It is an extremely friendly location and family friendly town. The area is safe and quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the beach and "downtown". There is plenty of good food available if you don't want to cook in the fully equipped kitchen. There is enough space that 10 of us had our own space while able to be together in the family areas... Very enjoyable. Can't wait to go again!

  This is a great vacation location. Close to the beach in a family friendly area. The property is well maintained, clean and comfortable. It was very easy to make ourselves "at home" with what was provided... There is certainly enough food opportunities from pizza, burgers, and dining out. Very friendly people in a home town setting where you feel welcomed no matter where you go.
