  First time to Folly Beach and we are looking forward to when we can visit again! This wonderful find was one of the reasons we are returning. All accomodations were perfect. Working with the property owner and manager was a wonderful experience. To be honest I was a bit hesitant about choosing a property sight unseen to accomodate our traveling partners but we could not have made a better choice. Location to town and beach is convenient. Property is even better than conveyed through website photos. Clean, comfortable and accomodating!

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  I've been working for about 10 years and I've never taken a vacation so I wanted to rent a beach house and get away, at least that's the cover story I came up with to surprise my girlfriend and ask her to marry me. The house was fantastic and it was more than we ever expected and none of the pictures or reviews will do it justice. You have to see it for yourself to get it. We were both very happy with our stay here and we are currently planing our wedding and honeymoon witch hopefully will be back here at this house where it all started. I was also a first time renter and was not used to handling paperwork such as this but the owner and manager were very helpful and patient with me.

  We had such an amazing time staying in Folly Beach. The house was everything the pictures portrayed and more- spacious and homey. Just steps from the beach and all that Folly Beach has to offer for a relaxing getaway. The quick trip to Downtown Charleston was an added bonus,Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this comfortable and beautifully decorated home. We look foward to visiting again.

  I was in charge of this particular "girls scrapbook weekend" and we all decided to get someplace close to Charleston. Upon arrival, my expectations were surpassed! I was so happy with everything about the cottage! It was completely furnished with anything and everything that we could have possibly needed. It was within walking distance to restaurants and small shops, an even closer walk to the beach and Charleston was a quick 15 minute drive away. The owner of the cottage was a dream to work with. She was prompt on responses and getting me the info I needed. I highly recommend Sweet Retreat to anyone looking for someplace near Charleston to stay - you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to go back!

  This place is even more wonderful than the pictures imply. It is shady and peaceful and yet very close to the beach. My favorite thing to do was to sit in the screened house and watch the birds. It is beautifully decorated and has everything one could possibly need. I want to go back next year!

  My 3 college roommates and I spent a wonderful time catching up together at Sweet Retreat 4/26-4/29. The house was very clean, and well-appointed. The pictures don't do it justice. The owner is easy to get in touch with, and always friendly. Within walking distance to the beach, and to the great restaurants and entertainment in "downtown" Folly Beach (especially check out Taco Boy, and Black Magic Cafe!), but also a short drive to all the fun in downtown Charleston, too. This house is great for a girls weekend, or a large family get-together! We hope to return in the future.

  We stayed at the Sweet Retreat in August 2011 and absolutely loved it. We loved the outdoor eating area and the proximity to the beach and restaurants. It was very clean and the owner was great to work with. A wonderful little cottage.

  Sweet Retreat is truly a sweet retreat. My husband and I rented the cottage for the whole month of February. It was our first time there and we could not have been happier. The photos do not give it justice. The beach cottage was beautifully decorated and most comfortable. There was a library of books,games and videos. The outdoor shower and huge porch were really fun. It was most exciting to be two blocks from the ocean and four blocks from the down town area filled with restaurants, shopping, coffee shops and churches. We rented a golf cart and bikes, also. Charleston is a mere 12 miles away and we frequented it often. At the Sweet Retreat you get the best of both island and city life. Paige was in contact with us often to answer any questions and give suggestions. So leave your car in the driveway and experience island living!

  We just returned from a weekend from the "Sweet Retreat" and what a retreat it was! The only problem we wish we could have stayed longer. We honestly did not want to leave. This was our first trip to Folly beach. The house is so close to anything you need. Within walking distance to beach, store, pier, eating establishments and shops on main street. The pictures do not do this house justice. It is very well maintained and cleaned. Paige was so helpful in calling us so quickly and even working out some details for us. We highly recommend this to everyone and we are already trying to see when we can return.

  My family and I just returned from a wonderful week-long girls' getaway at Sweet Retreat. The house and location were perfect - homey, comfortable accommodations only a short walk to the beach and Center Street restaurants and stores. The house was very clean, spacious, and well-stocked, and we loved the private outdoor shower with hot water and the outdoor screened room with comfortable furnishings. Also had excellent communications with the owners before and after our stay. If you're looking for a comfortable home-away-from-home at a relaxed beach vacation destination, Sweet Retreat is an ideal choice.
