This is a Victorian home, built in 1903, that has been tastefully redecorated/remodeled. It is located on Lower Nashotah Lake, which is a quiet and peaceful 'hidden gem' of WI Lake Country. Our home has central air conditioning and free WIFI/Internet. With a newly re-built outdoor porch and outdoor firepit, along with 120ft of updated frontage, lake-front deck and new pier, there are many areas for your family to enjoy. Lots of water activities are available like swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddle-boating, or just lounging in the sun.

Water is less than 2 ft deep by the shoreline so it's great for kids of all ages.

This is a wonderful place for families, as there is plenty of room for lawn activites, water-front activites, and lawn space for off-street parking.

Please note: While we have room for 9 ppl in beds, there is additional floor space on the 3rd floor (see pics) for air mattresses and sleeping bags.

WOW!!! We fell head over heels in love with this place! We loved all of the intricate details you can only get from being in a Victorian style home. The place was absolutely beautiful and we had an absolute blast here over the weekend. Can't wait to figure out another reason for us to stay at the house. And the owner was so wonderful and so nice to work with. This is a definite must if you're looking to stay in the area.

We thoroughtly enjoyed this Victorian lake house! Our family ranged in age from 3-81 years, and everyone had a favorite place to hang out--either the large, wraparound porch (where we also had our meals), the terrace above the pier for morning coffee, or the large front yard where the kids could use their squirt guns and play Nerf ball. This is a quiet lake with little boat traffic, and combined with the large lot, we had a great deal of privacy. The house itself has many amenities, and the washer and dryer were very much appreciated during our hot weather spell! You will enjoy staying here--and we would do it again!

We had a lovely week at this beautiful home. What a treasure!!! My family and I have rented many homes in Central Wisconsin over the last few years - but this one tops them all in terms of ambiance and location! Its convenient to grocery stores and entertainment - yet secluded from the world. We hope to be back soon. The Owner is also extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks to you for making your lake home available to us. We were absolutely thrilled with it all, and spent many happy hours sitting on the dock or the porch enjoying our precious family and the beautiful scenery. Everything about the trip was a great success - not even a sliver or a fall of any kind. One day the mothers told their children they could jump in the lake in their clothes, and of course they did with screams of delight. I grew up in New Hampshire and some of the scenery reminded me of my state - though WI is so lush with the blue grass, blue spruce trees and other hardwoods that are different from New England. Again, I cannot thank you enough for a terrific week - we shall never forget it. Sincerely, Mick xxxxxxxxx

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. It was very warm during our stay a few 100 degree days but the air conditioner in third level did make it good for sleeping for our daughters family. We used the back bedroom and the breeze and fan at night was fine. The peacefulness, sunrise over the lake, large front porch, pontoon boat, decks and dock were all enjoyed by our family and friends in area that visited us. The charm of the house was warm and welcoming and our grandchildren loved it. The location was great for getting into the city for sightseeing and and having family & friends visit. We are originally from Wisconsin, but we now live in southern AL and this home was so nice to stay at and to introduce our southern grandchildren to WI. They loved it and even after driving 18 hours home they wanted to know when they will be going to WI again. Thank you for maintianing this Victorian Home which is an amazing place to stay. We felt like we were at home and enjoyed everything. We recommend seeing the Brewer Game, Discovery World, the Zoo and Oconomowoc parks and beach. Favorite quick dining Culvers.

I stayed here in June with my parents who were visiting me from the UK. I could not have wished for a better house - it is beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming. Set in impressive grounds with a private lake front position it is a perfect house for a relaxed getaway. There are several grocery shops within a short driving distance so there is no need to transport groceries to the house, all you need is within a 10 minute drive. I hope to be back here again very soon.

I have stayed in this lovely home at least a half dozen times in the past ten years, and it is a perfect respite for short or long stays. My family gathered here the week before my sister's wedding, and we were able to take wedding photos in the yard, right in front of blossoming trees and a gorgeous glittering lake. My family has converged here for Christmas celebrations, and because the house can sleep a large family but is not so big that people feel separated from each other, we have cozy memories of playing card games and opening presents at the dining room table, recounting stories near the fire in the living room, and watching movies in the loft. I recently took a group of youth to have a confirmation retreat at this house, and they regularly remind me, "We really liked that retreat at the house on the lake. Can we do that again soon?" In the summer, Lower Nashotah is wonderful because it is so peaceful; the water is a startling, clear, blue-green hue; and it is quite deep in many places. There is little undergrowth near the shore, but it is a good idea to wear water shoes to avoid sharp shells. Lapham Peak, a beautiful state park with varied terrain for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing, is within a 10-minute drive, and Milwaukee and Madison--cities with art museums, farmers' markets, etc.--are each about a 45 minute drive away.

Owner response: Thank you for the feedback Lizzy. Please let us know when your youth group wants to have another visit, we've love to have you again.

This bright, charming lake house is easy to get to from the freeway and yet removed from the world. We stayed here last year for a weekend and were really able to get away from it all. We needed a rest, and we found it. The house faces east directly on a lake. The sunrise over the lake was gorgeous. This lake is directly connected to two others: one busier lake to the south, and another lake to the north, even more secluded from this already pretty private lake in the center. (We could kayak to either of the two connected lakes.) We spent a good afternoon paddling around the two quiet lakes. The water was clear and calm. The house itself is very cute: decorated tastefully and overall very comfortable. More than enough space for just the two of us, there is enough room for a huge family. There are a couple of nearby quaint downtown areas, good restaurants (we recommend Andrew's in Delafield) and other shops nearby. We can't wait to get back!
