This stunning two-storey detached ocean front Beach House boasts picture-perfect views across breathtaking Bathway Beach to palm fringed, desert islands that float in the jade green sea. A few moments walk along the beach is a real natural spa where waves cascade over the coral reef in a massive profusion of bubbles. The spacious, 2-bedroom house has a full kitchen, beautiful Balinese furniture and original art on the walls. Both floors, on the main living and bedroom levels, have large balconies complete with teak loungers and hammocks. A shared salt water pool, Wireless Internet, flat screen TV/DVD, and iPod dock are provided to help make this your perfect holiday hideaway.

Every guide book talks of ‘breathtaking’, ‘unspoilt’, Bathway Beach. This is the heart of authentic, hidden Grenada. Discover historic plantation houses, visit the Chocolate Factory, haunting Carib's Leap and evocative Helvellyn House with its’ famous pottery. Grand Etang National Reserve is just 30 minutes drive away. Within 15 minutes drive are shops and supermarkets and a number of restaurants ranging from the formal to the charming. However, just a few minute’s walk along the beach are 3 ramshackle ‘chicken shacks’ serving freshly caught fish and chicken of course and behind them is the popular Aggie's restaurant. For nature lovers Levera Beach is moments away, a secluded haven for birds and sea turtles, including the giant Leatherback. ‘This is Turtle watching is at it's best!’ Local fishermen will take you fishing or for a day's picnic and snorkeling on Sandy Island (which lies opposite the beach house) where the famous Bounty Chocolate bar adverts were filmed – this truly is ‘A taste of paradise’.

We just loved staying here at Moonfish villas. The property is lovely, and the hosts do everything they can to make you comfortable. Kitty was even nice enough to help with tour arrangements, maps and directions to local areas of interest. We were provided a cell during our stay, which was a nice piece of mind in the event that we were to find ourselves lost. We did some hiking near the villa and swam in the protected reef area at bathway. Grenada is amazing and the villa say delivered their promise of a perfect stay.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Our family of 4 spent a glorious week at Bathway Beach on our first trip to Grenada. Kitty was an amazing help with our trip planning, even arranging a jeep rental for us! The views are spectacular, the ocean breeze helps keep the bugs away (an island must) and the hosts could not have been more helpful. 2 bathrooms are a wonderful luxury, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the decorating "Cape Cod" beach style - very fun in the Caribbean. Our favorite villa feature? Definitely the table for six on the front porch overlooking the ocean, where we spent most of our time. We enjoyed spending time with our missionary friends on island, cooking, visiting and liming. The Grenada Chocolate factory is a must see, as well as Fish Friday in Guoyave. We love Bathway Beach and would definitely return! Thanks Kitty!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Hi Kitty! Thank you so much. This was one of our best island trips. I really fell in love with Grenada also. An island with a lot of character and the people are really nice. Thank you for everything.. leaving great fruit and guava candy at our door in the am.. plus the fresh flowers. We loved this side of the island. It is on the northern side and very remote. We loved Bathway beach , steps from the house, and especially loved Levera Beach which is a 1/2 mile or so walk. It is the amazing site where the leatherback turtles come up in March. It was really amazing and we were the only ones on the beach every day we were there. Aggie's restaurant is within walking distance and very good. It is a remote spot away from people..and perfect for reading a few books & sleeping in.. Plus as an interior designer , I wouldn't change a thing with this perfect beach house.. ps .. Thanks Kitty for getting up so early to help get us to the taxi.. I can't believe Steve wanted to open the last coconut while getting into the taxi! at 5 amRecommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I wanted a place "off the beaten path" that wasn't "touristy" and that is what we got! We have vacationed all over the world and MoonFish is up there with our favorite spots for sure. The local swimming in the tide pools at Bathway Beach was really wonderful. The whole area is pretty untouched and quiet. Perfect!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Dear Kitty, Russ and Joe We really enjoyed our stay with you at MoonFish at the end of July 2011. The accommodation was excellent with a wonderful view of the ocean. We could have sat on the deck all day just looking out to sea. The wildness and more natural state of the North of the Island provided a very relaxing atmosphere compared to the busier South of the Island. The night skies provided an amazing view of the stars which we don’t see back home where we have so much light pollution. Watching the sunrise over Sandy Island while having breakfast and being cooled by the Atlantic breeze was a great start to the day which we very much miss. The local area provided everything we could want with safe bathing in the ocean from Bathway beach, an interesting nature reserve and beach (Laverne) and places to visit (Rum Factory & Belmont Estate) and especially excellent places to eat. We have just returned from a fantastic week in Grenada. The accommodation was wonderful - very stylish, great views and brilliant balconies with stunning views. Kitty and Russ made us feel very welcome and their advice as to where to go and what to do was invaluable. Grenada itself is a beautiful island with very friendly people. We enjoyed the peaceful location of Bathways Beach and really liked being based in the North of the island. Thank you for a great holiday. We loved Grenada and particularly your corner of it. The Beach house is very beautiful and the balconies on both floors a real bonus. What a view! We got a flavour of the real Grenada, we think. Most of the time we had the beach more or less to ourselves… where else can you do that… but we loved that Sunday afternoon when the locals light up their fires and cooked oil down and chill out to the music. About the owner: Your hosts are Russ & Kitty, a British adman/writer/producer and Canadian artist/project manager. We live in another villa on the same property, so we're on hand to help if you need advice on what direction to explore!
Why the Owner Chose Bathway Beach:
We were won over by the friendly, welcoming people of Grenada, and the gentler, healthier lifestyle. There are no poisonous critters on the island, and the tap water is safe to drink... we have found a lovely community in the quiet north of the Island, with the new restaurants making special occasions even more fun to celebrate!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
We find that we can sit for hours on the deck, enjoying the pelicans & frigate birds patrolling the beach and the changing colours of the sea right in front of us - with no road or other interruptions to the view, it is a stunning way to while away the hours with a book or good friends.
Most of the restaurants in our area of the island have stunning views during the day so we find that long lazy lunches are popular, with guests choosing to cook a light meal at home for dinner.
We find it much cooler here in the north of the Island, with guests commenting on the difference should they decide to spend the day in the busy south - they are always happy to come home and relax on their breezy balconies!
