Perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. Best views in Kansas. Our environmentally custom built home is over-looking Clinton Lake between Lawrence and Topeka. This is a contemporary haven perfect for tranquil, rural living, but with the convenience of nearby cities. Lawrence is 15 minutes, Topeka is 25 minutes, Clinton Park marina is 10 minutes and a small boat ramp is 4 minutes away.
The home has two levels with an open floor plan with plenty of private outdoor space. The upper level has 2 decks and the lower level has a large patio. The property is on 80 acres of land adjoining the Lake property. We thought of the environment when planning this home. It has geothermal HVAC with zoned radiant floor heat, energy efficient appliances, passive solar design and concrete and metal construction.
Modern comforts and conveniences of this furnished home include four bedrooms (king comfort- select and daybed with trundle on upper level and queen comfort-select and double futon on lower level), two bathrooms on each level and an open living, dining, and kitchen area. The upper level bathrooms (sink and toilet) share a jetted-tub, shower combo. (Jack and Jill style) The lower level is the same, but shares a shower only. They both have 2 shower heads. The upper kitchen is a full kitchen. The lower level has a refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.
This is a very unique home that you will enjoy for any occasion. (perfect for a wedding or any other special event)

What a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. It was everything described and more. Recommend it highly, we will come back one day!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We really enjoyed our weekend at the retreat in the country. Four couples celebrated a special birthday and found the location, all we were hoping for. The house is unique and we were especially pleased to find the kitchen well equipped. We walked to the lake (about 1.9 mile by quiet roadway) for a fun group activity. The property was clean and just as it was depicted.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Great home for entertaining a large crowd! Fabulous contemporary decor. Two houses in one with complete kitchen, living, bedrooms and bath on both levels! Peaceful and serene with beautiful view of Clinton Lake. Close to Lawrence. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

About the owner: We purchased this land in 2002 to enjoy the second half of our lives. 523 had a life before as a 30 year old modular home. We removed it and built an ecco-friendly home on the same footprint. We wanted to be able to use it for our family when they come to visit, but want to share it with those who want a very special experience. Welcome
