A beautiful, well loved and maintained, Four Bedroom, Three Bath Ranch on what we feel is the best cove and point lot on Lake Hartwell in Westminster! The large screen porch runs the full length of the back of the home with rocking chairs, an entertaining area, and an additional dining area. It's my favorite room because you can sit and experience all of the lake fun, sights, music, laughter, boating, tubing, skiing, kids - And the sleeper sofa on porch is a great way to experience the lake at night! The holiday's are a lot of fun with the fireworks on the water. Each boater will anchor up and down the lake in front of the house and watch the Georgia/South Carolina homeowners compete for the best firework display! It's quite comical and a lot of fun! If I remember correctly, Georgia won the July 4th display in '09, but South Carolina in '10.
The bedrooms are spacious enough, with a Queen Bed in Master, along with oversized shower in Master Bath with an incredible view of the lake. The two additional bedrooms have Full Beds, and the fourth bedroom has a Trundle Bed.
The kitchen is well stocked with most every convenience but food, and has a table that seats six plus a breakfast bar. You'll enjoy most of your meals on the porch, believe me. The sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous. The Gas Grill will easily handle your party's needs, and a large Picnic Table is a great alternative for any time of the day. We've had many a "Low Country Boil" during our stays!
You'll feel like you can reach out and touch the lake as you're only steps away from the dock. It's a short walk and gentle slope to the water's edge which is great for every age. Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking (we have two for you to use), or just relaxing in the sun on the dock. The sunset over the lake is the perfect time to light the fire pit for S'mores - we've got that covered for you too. Don't forget we have a covered single slip dock, so bring your boat or jet ski - there's a private boat ramp (Arve's Landing) around the cove and can be used for a few bucks, and it's very convenient!
The lake lot including Corp Property is over an acre, so there's plenty of grassy areas for kids to run and play. Bring your own Badminton Set, Croquet, or Jarts, but we do have a Corn Hole Game that is similar to Horseshoes, just safer. The driveway is level if you're bringing bikes or if you have little ones.
Great location! - 35 minutes to Clemson to enjoy a college game or just walk around town, 40 miles to Helen, Georgia and great day visit during the summer or winter, 40 miles to Tallulah Gorge State Park for a day of hiking, and less than two hours to Atlanta. A lot to do and many places to go if you want to get out and about.

Great family Easter weekend and college visit! The house and lake were wonderful. Beautiful view and a great porch to sit and sip your coffee in the morning while you watch the birds and the morning light on the lake. Fun fishing, kayaking, hiking and relaxing by the lake. Two girlfriends and I came down a week early (before attending the Master's Golf Tournament) to relax and explore the area. What a beautiful house and fabulous view! We had everything we needed and then some (except for cool, rainy weather). Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy the screened porch and the whole outdoors like we had hoped due to the weather, but we imagined how great it could be (from the warmth of the living room). Thank you, Michael, for sharing the beauty. You were a total pleasure to work with and I would encourage anyone to experience this great house!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I treated my family to a summer lake retreat. There was plenty of space to accommodate everyone and plenty to do for ages ranging from eight to 65. Some of the highlights of our trip include: - Fishing off of the pier and catching 20+ fish. We fried them that night on the burner on the grill. - Boating, skiing and tubing all over the lake. - Swimming off of the pier. My dad is 65 and a fish nibbled on his nipple the last day we were there. Hilarious! - Canoe races (the canoes are provided by Michael). - Marshmallow roasts over the fire pit. - Card games during the evening on the screened in porch. - Sipping coffee early in the morning as I read a book, overlooking the peace of the lake. - Walking with my mom around the community for some exercise. The grounds are very mature and the landscaping is breath taking!! We had a fantastic time and encourage anyone to visit! The owners are amazingly personal and want to make your stay as memorable as possible. The owners actually purchased a big screen, HD Sony TV the weekend before we rented the house to enhance our visit.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We rented this home for a Clemson football game weekend. From the moment we arrived, we loved it. It is the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a beautiful fall weekend. The house had plenty of room and everything that we needed. The owner was very accomodating from our initial inquiry all the way through the completion of our stay. Most of our time was spent by the firepit, for which the owner supplied plenty of wood. The view from the back of the house onto the lake is beautiful. The house is well decorated, very cozy, and has plenty of room. It is an easy drive to Clemson as it is pretty much a straight shot down 123. We will definitely rent this house again!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

While we never actually got to meet Micheal, the owner, in person during our stay, his detailed and insightful emails and communications conveyed the warm hospitality and family feel of this property. The house is well equipped, clean, charming, and the landscaping beautifully kept up. The view is fantastic!! We could not have has a nicer stay. Thank you, Michael, for an epic weekend. Great house and great location. There are plenty of toys for the lake or you can just sit on the wonderful screened porch and relax. The owners were easy to work with on short notice. I would highly recommend the Lakeshore Lounge.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family had a great time at this lovely home on the lake. The house has great views from every window. Each room is spotless and the homeowner provided more than we could ask for: the kitchen is well stocked, there are floating chairs and mats, two great kayaks, games, movies and more. This neighborhood was so quiet- we felt that we were at our own private lake. The owner is great to work with and I hope to return again in the near future.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: We are a very busy family, with both children now in high school. Our daughter is a competitive volleyball player which consumes most of our free time, and our son is very involved in football and with his own passion of working with animals. When we're not at a volleyball tournament or working in the Atlanta area, we make every effort to get away to the lake! We would love to spend more time on Hartwell but we have quickly realized that it's simply not possible, so, we want you to enjoy it! We've taken every measure to make it a true home away from home, and I'm very confident that it will become one of your personal favorites. I think you'll love it, and I hope that you do! Michael
