  Spent a week here with 3 other couples and it was nothing short of spectacular. A great house just to hang out at and plenty of very good restaurants nearby. Key West was just close enough for those of us that needed a more hectic pace. Went fishing w/ Reel Keys Charter, just across the highway, our catch was prepared at The Wharf Grill (the captain is also the bartender there), fabulous! The house is even better than the pictures indicate, the only problem is that has probably ruined me for every place else, we've rented lots of very nice houses but really none compare to this one.

  Our family had an incredible time at the house - everything was just as described. Owner was quick to address any small issues, and beautiful home! Will definitely return and best home we have stayed in at the Keys! Had many of our family members there, and everyone had a great time. Thank you for the hospitality!

  We had four married couples share this wonderful house for the week and there was more than enough room. The house and grounds were breathtaking, but also very comfortable and functional. We came down for some relaxing and we brought a boat along for some fishing. The protected canal and lowered seawall made it very easy dealing with the boat and we were offshore and catching fish in less than 30 minutes from the dock. I have lived in Florida my entire life, have made the trip to the Keys at least once a year for the last thirty years and I can honestly say, this was the best house we have ever rented. Key West twenty minutes down the road and the open ocean out your back door, it is really hard to beat. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a rental in the lower keys for a fishing trip or just to get away. A big thanks to Joy for all her help!

  This vacation home is JUST BEAUTIFUL! It is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. If you want the Hot Tub water HOT, be sure and let them know in advance, otherwise you may have to wait a few days to get the heat turned on. We like it hot, for those cooler summer evenings. The wireless worked well even by the pool area and on the decks. There were a few very minor maintenance issues that we reported to the owner so that future guest wouldn't have to deal with them. Seven Miles Bridges Restaurant is a very good place to eat... it's toward Marathon. Awesome vacation.. Thank you Joy for all your help and sharing your vacation home!

• Wonderful house and location

  Our group of seven were in this house for a week. House was absolutely fabulous, clean and well maintained with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Views of the Atlantic and the pool from the kitchen, both outside patios and the master suite (which was enormous with a fabulous tub and shower). The patio off the main living area is covered and was one of my favorite places. It had a very comfortable set up with a dining table big enough for all of us and a lounge chair/ottoman and sofa. In fact, I slept on that sofa well into the night a couple of times it was so comfortable and the weather was so nice. We didn't get to eat at the The Square Grouper because it was closed for remodeling, but we did have Lobster BLTs three different times at a restaurant just across the street from the neighorhood. YUM! Plus, the gas station at the corner of the entry into the neighborhood has pretty good fried chicken. :-) Another really good restaurant (if you can find it) is the Hogfish grill. Wonderful fried lobster tacos. We were fortunate in that we have friends that live in Key West and know some really great local, non-touristing restaurants. The trip into Key West proper is only about twenty minutes, and we did that one day when it rained, but frankly it was tough leaving the house. One set of friends drove and brought paddle boards and bikes. The walk-in beach area was great for launching the paddle boards, and the water along this area of coast was shallow and clear which made it great for paddle boarding and watching sealife below. All in all a fantastic trip which we are already talking about repeating next year.

  This home is amazing, the pool, the access to waterways by private canal, the Iguanas. We really enjoyed our stay. The biggest rooms are hard to cool on 100 degree days but thats life in Florida. Dealing with the OWNER of the home is a nice experience.

  Home was wonderful great trip except boat lift didn't work boat took beating on dock pool never was cleaned they finally came out and cleaned after 4 day's it was outa clorine garbage disposal didn't work received a call 4 day's into our trip they wanted to show home what a inconvenience but was a great trip when we received our deposit back it wasn't 1750.00 they sent back 960.00 nice place but a little bit shady on deposit we will get are's back !

  Just returned from a fabulous week of fishing and snorkeling with my wife and four sons. The home on Summerland Key is even better than the pictures suggest. We have been using VRBO for more than seven years and this home was by far the most beautiful and well maintained. Surrounded on three sides by water the house is very convenient to fantastic diving at Looe Key and the productive waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It was also close enough to Key West that we were able to go there for dinner on two nights. Joy was very helpful with local knowledge and a pleasure to deal with. Don't miss the Square Grouper for dinner--the best seafood in the Keys! Our family can't wait to return next year.

  Our stay was enjoyable, but it would have been much more so if the house were properly equipped for 8 people. There were not enough dishes, pots and pans for us to cook and serve properly. Also, there was not a blender, which is something that generally is in a beach house. Another issue was that the pool and jacuzzi were broken when we arrived. It took several days to fix and the water didn't warm up until Friday, so we were terribly disappointed. On the plus side, the furnishings were very nice, and there was an elevator that made loading and unloading much more convenient. On the minus side, we are not getting our deposit back because of "excessive wear".

When items disappear without our knowledge, it may go unnoticed until someone needs that missing item. Phone calls or emails for assistance are necessary to ensure your vacation is spectacular. Nevertheless, we extended our home to you and you treated it less than adequate. In all the time that we have rented our home, we have never kept anyone's deposit. We pride ourselves in always trying to do what is right. This is why, we made 2 trips to repair the damages ourselves that your group caused, which kept you from incurring a very large repair bill.   Our stay was AAAA+++++ we didn't want to leave. the home is the best and we couldn't of asked for more. Our two children stayed busy the two weeks we were there and so did us adults. We surely want to come back
