  2 families went - 4 adults and 6 teenagers - we put the kids in the house and the adults in bungalows. the house was fantastic - has airconditioning too - the pool is gorgeous overlooking the ocean. There is a storage room with lots of sports equipment and play things! We spent a bunch of time next to the pool on the covered porch. The kitchen has limited storage space but functioned fine for our group. We ate in and went to local walk to restaurant (along a non lit beach- make sure you kick in the water or stomp on the sand where it is wet - lots of light up organisms - magical!) No cell service and limited computer - we didnt' care we went to the town nearby for extra supplies - bring your own suntan lotion super expensive there. food choices a bit limited unless you buy in IXTAPA?ZHI area. defintely a local experience - we felt like we were one of the locals - no one anywhere close by on the beach - incredible boogie boarding waves (we bought 4 extra boards in town) overall if you are not looking for top notch quick service and luxury everything or tons of in town shopping this is the place for you - lots of time for relaxation and lots of ocean time down to earth (lodging was pretty fancy and nice) atmosphere super relaxing there is some construction being done on the premises so you may want to check on the status of that before booking - we had ZERO issues with it. we also rented a car (watch out - our rate quoted on the computer was less than half what we paid) but the driving was super easy - roads mostly paved was nice having the cars

  This Villa by far has been one of the best family vacation's that I have ever enjoyed. I have fours son's and husband and I was amazed that even though we had not TV, Internet or phone..we all managed to keep busy just having old fashioned fun..pool volleyball, beach soccer, surfing, ping pong, playing cards, horse back riding, the best massage that I have ever had and walks on the beautiful deserted beach...the staff were very helpful, they always came and made sure that all our needs were met, they even offered to hold the baby one night when we were trying to eat and the baby was fussing. I really miss monster our guard dog, we all spoiled him while we were there. I highly recommend this villa to anyone that is looking for a very serene vacation and quality time with their loved ones.   We loved our stay. Not only was the facility well designed, but the setting was absolutely breath-taking. In this day and age, it is hard to get away, I mean really get away. Because of it's remoteness and the empty beach front we were able truly enjoy good food, great atmosphere, and good conversation. It is heaven on earth.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  A friend invited me and my wife to spend 4 days with 4 other couples. This is a very special property, over looking the Pacific Ocean and miles of uninhabited beaches. It's hard to believe that there are still places like this that exist. A great place to a family reunion, gathering of friend, retreat, or just some solitude. A brief walk down the beach and you arrive a small fishing village and can have a meal under a thatched roof, looking out a the pounding surf....with nobody bothering you!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Wow! We had an absolutely wonderful time here. We enjoyed a week-long stay in the guesthouse. We have done quite a bit of travel and this is now one of our favorite experiences. The owners are gracious hosts and everyone that works there is so accommodating, friendly and helpful! The views were breathtaking with lush green trees, ocean, white sand, tropical flowers and sun. Even the view from the shower is stunning. We ate healthy, walked, ran, read, surfed, swam, soaked, relaxed and decompressed. It was a fabulous spot to vacation with two other families and also peaceful with just the three in our family. We fell asleep to crashing waves and awoke to bright sun. The ocean and pool water were both comfortable so we hopped back and forth. We felt safe here and well cared for. We are excited to bring back our close friends and hope to celebrate a special family event there with east coast family. We felt so grateful to have found this secret gem with wonderful owners who find joy in their guests having an amazing time. You will be so happy that you made this choice and will surely need to go back for some more Heaven!!!!

  My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to enjoy this property for a week with our 18 month-old daughter (as well as another couple and their 2-year old daughter). We found it to be very accomodating for travelling with small children, and were impressed by how "rich" we felt in this piece of paradise. We loved how authentic and non-touristy the area was. We have travelled to many "all-inclusive" resorts in the past, and were thrilled to not have to fight crowds for a place at the pool or beach, or at mealtimes. The pool at Playa Loma Bonita is great for kids, as there is a ledge that is the perfect size for little ones to explore. We found the beach to be great as well: lots of sand toys for the little ones, and every type of ocean sporting equipment (surfboards, paddleboards, boogie boards, etc.) for the big kids! The ocean was so warm and clear, and while the surf can be rough, with supervision our little one was fine to wade through the waves. We had Tomasa and Karina cook for us for most meals, and the food was so fresh (lots of fresh fish and seafood!), tasty, and extremely affordable. We ventured out to a few nearby restaurants as well for lunches, and it was nice to get a taste of the local culture. We also took a daytrip to Saladita with the recommended surf instructor, and loved this little surf town and its' gentle waves. Depending on what kind of traveller you are, the benefits of this property could also be considered its' "cons": the property is very remote, being over an hour from the airport and Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa. For us, we loved the feeling of being "away from it all", but for those who prefer shopping, "fine dining" or need internet or cell phone connection, you may find this property too remote for your liking. Overall, we loved our time at Playa Loma Bonita and would love to return. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is looking for their own private piece of paradise. The owners are extremely helpful and accomodating and very willing to answer any questions or concerns you might have.

  This was simply the best vacation to Mexico we have ever had. Exactly as is shows in the pictures. We traveled with a family of 14 and found the accomodations (main house and bungalos) very well kept up and clean, Hot water was always available and with good pressure. The pool, views and especially the local staff were nothing short of amazing. Tomasa and her family were there to help us out and after 1 week they seemed like family. Jesus was always more then willing to take us on any errands we had and "monster" the property dog was certainly a persons best friend. The surf in front of the house is anywhere from 10-15' and any given time and certainly not for beginners. We went on plenty of excursions from surfing to fishing to snorkeling and our guide chimminique was outstanding. on the fishing trip my wife caugt a 4' mahi mahi which was delivered to Tomasa. She prepared the fish into the best seafood dinner we have ever had. The views from the pool down the coast were spectacular at any time of the day. If your looking for crowded beaches and buffet style meals this is not the place for you. If you want relaxation, great family time, authentic mexican cusine at the house or down the beach and plenty of sun. This is the place. We will be back for sure.

  This property is absolutely gorgeous! Our family of 14 stayed Christmas week and all agreed that it was even more fabulous than the photos. Unbelievable views in every direction--and a clean, sandy beach with huge surf just steps from the house. The staff was awesome and we fell in love with Tomasa and her family. Her food was out of this world--each meal better than the last. Jesus was very accommodating, running us to Petatlan and helping us navigate the market and find internet access. Surf lessons, snorkeling and fishing with Chimmi enhanced our trip, even though it was hard to justify leaving such a beautiful place! Our family built lasting memories and highly recommend Playa Loma Bonita, especially for family groups. Awesome place!

Individual Bungalows may be rented by the same party for an additional $100/night.

*Holiday Rates include use of full property including main villa and 3 bungalows.

Our condo in Zihuatanejo may also be rented for an overnight in town for a nominal fee.

Damage deposit $300 USD.

Additional Fees and Taxes:

Inclusive of all taxes, fees, and departure cleaning for stays of 7-nights or longer. There will be a cleaning fee of $60 USD for stays fewer than 7 nights.
