We stayed at ArtApart with our 2 children. Beautiful and well-appointed apartment. Exceeded our expectations. Great location in one of Rome's nicest residential neighborhoods with excellent restaurants and shops and easy access via metro, bus or taxi to all the sites. Perfect for either a family or up to 3 couples. We will recommend this apartment to all our Rome-bound friends. Andrea was a great help with recommendations for tour guides and neighborhood tips. Thank you, Andrea!
Owner response:Dear Sarah, I really appreciate your good words and I hope to see you and your family the next time here in Rome. All the best and regards! Andrea

We had a long weekend stay, which included two days of very heavy snow. However, the apartment is very well heated and it was good to come home to such pleasant warmth. Andrea arranged a very efficient shuttle service to and from the airport and met us at the property, explaining its workings and providing maps and information on the local area. There are three very spacious bedrooms, two good bathrooms, a large dining room, a well-equipped kitchen with another dining area, and a lounge. There is also a balcony for dining - although that was not used during our stay! The property was clean and well-furnished. Bedding and towels were spotless. The decoration is by local artists and is very, very idiosyncratic, but interesting. It is in a quiet street in a very select area. However 5 minutes walking takes you to the Piazza Euclide. Here there are some decent restaurants, bars and cafes. There is also a bus service and a very efficient train service - one stop / 5 minutes takes you into Flaminio / Piazza del Popolo and a travel card gives you transport anywhere in the city at a very reasonable price. A good base for seeing Rome, but also in a safe and quiet area.
Owner response:Dear Derek, I really appreciate your good words and I hope to see you and your family the next time here in Rome. All the best and regards! Andrea

What a find! The apartment was even more spacious than the online information indicated. Every room was so creatively decorated and immaculately clean. Andrea is a true gentleman and was a pleasure to deal with. His recommendations on local dining as well as help with finding overnight accomodations in Firenze were superb. I have already recommended the apartment to my cousin (an artist herself) who is planning a trip to Rome later this year. Grazie di tutto!
Owner response:Thank you Gabrielle for your good word. I really appreciated your comment! All the best and I hope to see you and your family next time.

The service was very welcoming and helpful. Arriving by car in the dark and in the middle of the rush hour was not a good idea but andrea kindly and patiently guided us in. The apartment is big and spacious and great with two bathrooms. Extremely clean, smart and tidy. We were two adults and four children (4-13 in ages). The biggest plus has to be the location. It is one stop away from the centre of town on the suburban train service and literally takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the station and then 3-5 minutes by train. It is great to have the flexibility to get into town but also escape to calmer seas at the end of the day. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Fabulous, spacious, immaculately clean, temporary home in Rome. Easy access to tourist areas, yet feel like a local. Loved the artwork, the search for the hidden cats and the skeleton in the closet. Larger refrigerator and dishwasher would make long term stays for 6 more appealing. Also could use more hooks for hanging towels. Would definitely stay again. Worked very well for 3 couples.

My wife and I with our 5 children (ages 18 thru 6) made a family trip to Rome. Our stay was an unforgettable trip, and artapart really made a difference. Very good distribution and location, ample bedrooms with really good matresses (important to rest well and recover after a long day). Bus 52 stops 20 meters from the house (we took it every day to return; for going to visit better walk down to Euclide and take the 910 bus to Termini or the subway to Flaminio, where you can take the metro). The apartment has everything you need to cook, eat, wash... only missing a dishwasher. The air conditioning was wonderful. The terrace very nice for dining outside after the day visit. Very convenient Carrefour Express nearby. Thank you Marco for your hospitality and for your explanations and recommendations for restaurants. Thanks also to Elia for driving us from Fiumicino at a really late time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Art Apart. It was a wonderful apartment and we all enjoyed it. We also liked the quite neighborhood and the Euclid circle. We found a couple of very nice cafes, bars and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. We really liked that it was away from the tourist areas. We would absolutely recommend it and we look forward to our next trip to Rome.

In July of 2011, our family stayed at the a r t a p a r t r o m e in Rome. The apartment was much larger then the photos indicated and immaculately clean. Also, the layout was great for our large family, 2 adults and 4 kids, 11, 8, 7, and 3. There was ample space for everyone to have a place to relax in the evenings and for some of the meals we ate at 'home”. The air-conditioning worked well and was much appreciated after a hot day in the sun. The location worked well for our family, but you are a little bit out of walking distance from the sites. We had no problem with the train and appreciated the quite evenings during the height of tourist season. On a small note...I really appreciated that they left some of the basic supplies, dish soap, salt, pepper, olive oil etc... So many rentals clear everything out and having these little extras there was really is thoughtful. I also loved that there was a DVD player that would play Dvds from the us and a nice size TV. Again...very thoughtful and comfortable, especially for the little ones. Overall, this was an excellent rental and I hope to return again with my family.

This was our first time to Italy & we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. For our family of 5(2 of them teenage boys) this apartment was perfect. The apartment was clean & well presented, bedrooms were large with comfortable beds, everything we needed in a kitchen, supermarkets & great restaurants nearby. The kids loved the artwork,as did we.Bus stop & train station were close & with Marco's help easy to navigate.Marco was always easily contactable by phone & helped us with any queries.(arranging transfers)It's just 1 train stop from Piazza del Popolo & then you can walk to all of Rome's main attractions.Definately try the local restaurant Ambasciata d'Abruzzo,it was our best meal in Rome. Thanks Marco & Andrea for making our stay in Rome so enjoyable, we will be back to stay with you again.

My family and I stayed at the art apartment in Rome and were completely satisfied. We were close to the metro and had a place we could call "home" during our stay in Rome. The washer made it easier to pack less and the kitchen had everything we needed to make any kind of meal we wanted. Beds were good size and mattresses were firm. A/C was nice and cool. Andrea and Marco were very helpful with directions and booking local activities. We would definitely stay there again.

I am so happy we found this apartment!! It is located in the North part of Rome in a nice quiet residential area. We walked a lot while we were in Rome but if we needed to get somewhere quickly we just walked to the nearby Hotel Duke and asked the front desk to call us a cab. They didn't mind even though we were not guests in the hotel. The apartment was clean and spacious. Even bigger than the website made it look. The photos on the website are very accurate but I don't think they do the apartment justice. I thought it was better in person. Andrea met us at the apartment when we got to Rome and provided us with a map and an overview of the area we were in. He made us feel very welcome. The driver they used was wonderful!! Would stay here again!

My husband and I spent three wonderful months in Artapartrome. It is a very spacious apartment that is managed by two of the most wonderful men..... Marco and Andrea. They were very accomodating with anything that we needed. The apartment is well located if you do not want to be in the center of the tourist area. There is a train and several bus routes that can take you all over the city within a short period of time. In addition, the area has the best restaurants.. Ambasciata d'Abruzzo, Dukes, and La Pariolina were our favorites. There is also a SMA grocery store and a Carrefour within walking distance. The apartment is extremely comfortable. The artwork on the walls added to the ambience. The beds were great and the bathrooms are updated. The kitchen lacked an oven, but we were able to do all our cooking on the stovetop. We had a brand new TV as well as excellent internet connections. We brought our own digital phone service with us and it worked better than it does in New York. In addition, cleaning service was provided at no additional cost. Within walking distance, we were able to find a duplicate bridge club and a tennis club with an indoor swimming pool.We had a wonderful winter and would not hesitate to return to Artapartrome.

Fantastic location, very unique apartment. Have already recommended it to several people and will continue to do so. One can never be certain when booking over the internet that what you see is what you get but in this case it is so much more. Ask and you shall receive seemed to be the motto of service. Shuttle driver and tour guide were arranged prior to arrival which made for a more relaxed vacation. When we hit a few bumps in the road Marcus and Simona took it upon themselves to get us all through. This top-notch service that you provide is something that is rare to find when you travel but was truly wonderful to experience. Glad to have met each and everyone of you. Ciao The Canadian Group of Seven

My review includes 4 Mok'House properties, The Imperial House, The Art Apartment, Porta Maggiore, and The Bed & Breakfast. On arriving on Sept 13, 2010 my wife had a stroke and ended up in a Rome hospital for over 3 weeks. The incredible staff at Mok'House sprung into action rearranging housing, providing transportation, translating, comforting, and assisting in all the needs of tourists facing the worst of all possible crisis. The Imperial House and Art Apartments were incredible and the Porta Maggiore and Bed & Breakfast perfect for my disaster needs. It's no wonder, Marco the owner, has an advanced degree in Hotel Management from the United Kindom where he was schooled and trained. He also works the Olympic events as they occur worldwide. You can not replace the Customer Service we received staying at the Mok'House properties. I have been a Store Manager for over 40 years and could not have survived the stress without the assistance of Marco and Andrea his assistant. Throw in Ellia their Shuttle driver and you have an invaluable customer service management team. An example is Marco obtained a laptop computer with internet access so I could attend to all the emergency calls and communications back to the United States with friends, family, Cigna Health Care, Oncall International, The US Embassy, and my wife's personal physician. The laptop also provided my wife with a connection to the outside world whle being confined to a gurney bed for 3 weeks. This was his brother's personal laptop going far beyond Customer Service expectations. Staying with the Mok'House properties is like staying with family. You could stay elsewhere, but you will miss out on the personal experience of the love and caring of Marco, Andrea, and Ellia. You can not put a price on that. Read the other reviews. Combine them with mine and you will understand why they receive such high ratings. I love you guys......Family Forever!

We've just recently returned from a 3 week trip to Italy. We had initially decided to stay at Art Apart Rome for 8 nights, but enjoyed it so much and felt so comfortable that we extended our stay for 4 more nights. Our two children loved looking at the art work and fell asleep in the evenings discussing the murals on the walls. It could not have been better. In this apartment each day I found a little surprising detail I had not noticed before. Beautifully done! The balcony was a great place to sit after long days of touring. The local Carrefour had everything we needed. The metro stop is close by (bus connection is good too) and there are some very special restaurants in walking distance. Not only was the apartment itself just right for us, the management team of this apartment are true professionals. We were warmly welcomed and just every detail was taken care of in a clear and efficient way. When we ran into an internet problem the manager came right away to fix it for us. We travel several times a year as a family and I can say that our stay at ArtApart has been the most enjoyable and convenient by far.

The apartment is very large and airy (3 bedrooms each with quenn size bed and 2 baths. We were a party of six and with 2 per bedroom the size was perfect. The unique decor (each room was painted by a student from Art Institue of Rome) is beautiful. The bedrooms all have blackout blinds which allow for a wonderful night sleep and the air conditioning is really welcomed in July. There is a lovely terrace but due to the heat we didn't really utilize it. The Metro and Taxi stand is a short walk - less than 5 minutes. Also within walking distance are a wonderful grocery store and several nice restaurants including Ristorante Abasciata d'Abrurro on via Pietro Tacchini. We had dinner here twice over the course of 9 days as they were so attentive and the food was excellent - highly recommend it. The only real downside is that the 2nd bathroom is a tub only so we were six people to one shower but as the apartment was so lovely this was a minor inconvenience. Also the apartment had wi-fi access, cleaning service in the middle of our stay, no extra charge for utliities and no extra cleaning fees - a big plus compared to other VRBO rentals.
