There is excellent trout fishing on the South Platte River which is virtually out your back door. There's even a dock for you and your friends or family to fish from. It's only 21 miles away for WORLD CLASS DOWNHILL SKIING and SNOWBOARDING of Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin (If you leave your townhome at 8:00 am you will be parked and putting your boots on by 8:30 am). The short drive north on Highway 9 to Breckenridge is gorgeous.
You will parallel the beautiful South Platte River, where from its banks tower three 14,000 foot peaks of Mount Bross, Mount Democrat, and Mount Lincoln. Next your greeted by the spectacular views of the Blue River Valley with 14,262 foot Quandary Peak on your left and numerous 13,000 foot peaks that guide you to historic Breckenridge. If you desire you may keep driving 35 miles to another great ski area(s) and the exclusive shops of Vail, Beaver Creek and Arrowhead.
